Vincent was written by Don McLean as a tribute to 19th century painter Vincent van Gogh.
The opening line Starry Starry Night refers to Van Gogh's masterpiece ‘The Starry Night’.
After years of ‘suffering with his sanity’ Van Gogh died aged 37 from a self-inflicted gunshot. His work then was generally unknown and unappreciated. Today he is recognized as one of the most famous artists of all time

I have so few songs transcribed because I just play these songs from memory and improvisation, so none of the are written down anywhere. This one is not available in sheet form, sorry to say.

He there, and Thanks! So glad yo like that version. Sorry to say, I have never put the notes to that one down on paper. Like most of my arrangements it is improvised with the tape running and then I "learn" the parts I like. It eventually evolves into an arrangement. That said, I do have about 8 of my arrangements on paper and they are available at musicnotes.com
