      Thank you!! I remember your questions about video with Inkscape. I'm working on a simple animation trick, but Inkscape doesn't have video capabilities. We can use it for the graphics that are made into gifs or animation, but an outside program is needed. Video overlays- for sure. Did you have something interesting in mind?

      @@IronEchoDesign how about the version where the cat image is composed of thousands of smaller photos (either of the cat OR of other photos)? Seen that?
      We recently went to the Charles Schulz (Peanuts) museum and one whole wall as you walked in was a giant cartoon, but as you got closer you found out it was made of thousands of tiles that each had their own cartoon on, it was very cool.

    I'm pretty new to this. That said, I tried flowing my text into a shape I created - a Christmas tree I created using the polygon shape to create it. I am unable to get this to work so, I'm quite sure I did something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Nick.

    Excellent tutorial, thank you, definitely subscribing! Is there any way of right-justifying the text?

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před rokem

      Thanks so much!! Yes, there is a way to right-justify text. If you have some text and are on the Text tool, up in the top menu bar towards the middle you'll see the Text Alignment icon. Clicking on it gives you dropdown choices of Left align text, center, and the third one down is Right Alignment. Hope this helps!

    Very good very nice excellent excellent thank you again,, but I have a question can you PLEASE answer I’m using the bezier pen trying to do a drawing but I need to united another drawing I’m doing to the one I already draw how can I attach both and then working with the nodes...???

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před 2 lety +3

      Thanks and this is a good question. It can be frustrating when trying to combine images with Combine or Union. Path Operations like that can only be done with paths. You could try to do Trace Bitmap first on each image to get them in vector formats, but it's still tricky after that. This is one of the few times I go to Photoshop instead of Inkscape. A raster program like Photoshop or Affinity Photo is better suited for compositing.
      Orrrrr... if I'm understanding you wrong and you're trying to combine two bezier paths you drew in Inkscape- select both paths and choose Path - Combine. Hope one of these suggestions helps!

    Just want you to know you're truly appreciated and thank you for the detailed explanation, just one question ❓⁉️, and of course I'll look it up on your other videos .... how do you upload the Google fonts to Inkscape? Keep them coming.... started Inkscape last week because of you and I'm not tech savvy 😅....your videos are great 👍

    • @IronEchoDesign
      @IronEchoDesign  Před rokem +2

      Thank you so much!! When you download a Google font, you'll get a folder with the different font formats. Open the version you want, and click on the specici font variation you want to install. It will open an example of the font in all sorts of sizes, and in the top left is the Install button. Click Install. Close everything. Restart the computer and when you open up Inkscape it will be a choice in the font list. Hope this helps!

      I have another question, so I did a JPG file with this, yes .. .it took me all day 😅, when I exported I did the custom sizing on the document, the finished product and it would not let me do the size or the DPI, if I switched one it would reverse....so I had to revise it on Canva and yes was so small but it took me all day....not your fault, I improvised....this is the second one I did I believe the 1st file was a PNG....the question is...if it's a JPG can it resize on Inkscape?
