I’ve been thinking of singing “You Never Can Tell” at a bar sometime. I sincerely hope that if that ever happens, a couple gets up and does this dance to it.
Possibly the best scene from a movie ever... or Samuel L. Jackson’s bible verse or Samuel L. Jackson’s diner speech at the end or Harvey Keitel’s scene with Tarantino, Jackson and Travolta... basically this is my favourite film of all time
For one scene, I will take Goodfellas: Joe Pesci messing with Ray Liotta ("what's so funny about me"). But overall I agree Pulp Fiction is a superior film.
Back in 82, I could throw a pigskin a quarter mile. Yeah...coach would’ve put me in the fourth quarter we would’ve been state champions no doubt. No doubt in my mind - Uncle Rico

The Directors of the Russian Bolshoi Dance Academy in Moscow should get on their knees every morning and thank the Good Lord that John Travolta did not choose to become a ballet dancer.
It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They furnished off an apartment with a two room Roebuck sale The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53 They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely mademoiselle "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell
In my opinion it's great, and certainly in Tarantinono's top two. I'm not much of a fan of Tarantino because I find his movies too sadistic, but this got the balance right. The actors are all wonderful, so the direction must have been too. It's very unusual for the hugely talented Tim Roth to take such a small role, but I think it was worth it, just to be in the film.
Love tUma eyes.. BTW> Listening to the true King of Rock N Roll.. A guy influenced literally thousands , You can hear his guitar riffs everywhere. Miss you Chuck, Keep rockin in heaven!
@Taylor Faulkner Wish I was in my 30's matey. Yes I do love Singing in the rain as well. Have you ever seen the Morecambe & Wise version of Singing in the Rain. Absolute classic comedy sketch from the mid 70's. Obviously way before you were even born Mr. Faulkner but still well worth watching. Nice talking to you. No offence meant saying you were in your 80's. You must just love classic black & white films to even know about Gene Kelly at your tender age. Take care in this mad World we are all living in.
Can you imagine how nervous Uma Thurman was while dancing with Travolta? I mean the dude was in "Saturday Night Fever" and "Urban Cowboy". I'd have been terrified.
Travolta has such a magnetism.
He almost does nothing, and yet controls the scene.
IDK why, but that's so true.
well, you were right about travolta doing nothing.
No way, this scene is all Uma.

Michael Tyson So are you saying that 8 mile is better than Pulp Fiction...? Sorry, can't agree. I like The Godfather too btw.
I’ve been thinking of singing “You Never Can Tell” at a bar sometime. I sincerely hope that if that ever happens, a couple gets up and does this dance to it.
Well, a couple from my highschool 15 yrs ago signed up for my school's talent show and did this dance. They won grand prize.
Did this ever happen

This was a very mainstream song back in the day. Chuck berry was huge so it isn't really the most unique taste in music. But still great taste!
