i am so happy that it rain so you two found that block gutter, it will be so bad you did all that work and found water damaged later on.

Yes, definitely! We knew there was some drainage issues but the gutter not helping is bad news.

Just curios why you chose to paint the exterior brick instead for using the German Shmear that you used for the interior fireplace brick?? My daughter is purchasing a large home in the historic area of Savannah and is hesitant to paint vs using the mortar for the Schmear??
