Wow, this interview was SUCH a blessing! I teared up so many times. Not only was D&K's music (Casual Christian, The Pledge,......) so powerful in encouraging me to walk with Christ as a young man (it showed that Christians could be cool), I did not realize how many good bands with a solid Biblical stand Eddie DeGarmo helped along the way.
Audio Adrenaline is my favorite band of all (secular or Christian)! They were such a fun and crazy group of guys that still truly loved Jesus!
I can still hear the incredibly moving Geoff Moore song "Winds of Change" or his rockin' "I Found Love"!
God gave Eddie DeGarmo such incredible talent! I am SO THANKFUL he has used it to bring the Light of Jesus to the world (including me)!!!!

Nik, this interview was so good. I was fortunate enough to hang out and work with you in Nashville around the time you worked at Forefront and I remember some of those stories you talked about. You gave me access to a lot of industry events I'll never forget.

Nik I am so thankful I found this channel. I tried to become a Christian after being addicted to drugs and alcohol and getting kicked out of high school for selling drugs and I was put in jail three times before I turned 20 years old. I accepted Christ l but I found myself in such a struggle with sin for about five years and I told myself I can’t do this, I want to be a Christian and change but I just can’t live clean enough. Round about the time I went to my first Christian concert it was at a high school auditorium, I think it was Farrell and Farell😢 and the 2nd Chapter of Acts. Both bands were good but it really wasn’t my cup of tea because I was in to hard rock music. Before the bands came out and played, you know how they will play music over the speaker system from the stage and that music sounded outstanding to me so I asked a couple sitting by me if they knew who that band was they was playing before the concert started and they said yes that is DeGarmo and Key and they have a new album out called Mission of Mercy and that’s what they were playing. I got up early the next morning and drove into town which was 40 minutes away and I went to Christian music store and I bought that album Mission of Mercy and wow was it good and I heard a determination in Dana’s voice and lyrics to fight with everything you had to live for Jesus and forsake the world. After hearing the song All of the Losers Win I da dropped to my knees and cried and I told God, OK, I’m going to try to look for You and Jesus but I’m going to need your help, I’ve tried and I can’t do this very well. I went back and bought all of the Degarmo and Key albums And I bought every one that they released and the lyrics that those guys wrote instilled a determination in me to be a Soldier for the Cross, Wow how that song inspired me, wow how the song Dare 2 Be Different Inspired me. Because of Ed and Dana and Greg and Tommy I found the strength to not give up and they are the reason that I follow Jesus today at the age of 64. God bless you brother Eddie aunt Diana and Greg and Tommy!!! Thank you so much!!!!! I can’t wait to see Dana and talk to him in heaven. I can’t wait to tell him what is art did for my life and helped me not to give up even though the odds were so stacked against me. Thank you Nik.
