I don't know if it's realistic, but I feel like Lisa from Blackpink and Cocona from XG are on the highest level possible. YG and XG need to let them collaborate someday. Call me crazy. Everyone else in both groups is awesome, but these two are born to do this.
They are based in Korea, mainly promotes & trained in Korea so by definition they are definitely K-pop. K-pop is an English term means pop music from Korea and not music from Koreans. So them being all Japanese has nothing to do with it.
In their recent documentary episode, their manager spoke about them not being 100% sure on how to define them yet - pop, kpop, jpop etc... I think they are beyond any catergory anyway. No need to define them, they are going to be global 😍
