If I'm correct the name actually comes from the holiday of Pentecost, which is translated Pinksteren in Dutch. So it's actually funny it also is a color in English. I guess that is why they picked that name, of that ambiguity. Now we are in the '20's, maybe it might sound like it has something to do with homosexual rights or something, but it hasn't. Not at all.
