The fact that Ryuga and L-Drago are a literal dynamic duo, Ryuga pisses you off by getting personal and L-Drago feeds off the anger and gains more power. L-Drago is the prime definition of “I thrive off negativity. Anything negative. I’m up for it”
@devon4884Even though he lost to Rago, Ryuga did something Gingka needed the power of all bladers on earth to do, but better. Gingka made Rago flinch by showing him Pegasus’ new power, Ryuga made Rago flinch simply by telling him that he was the dragon emperor. Even a god realized he couldn’t hold back against Ryuga.
They are the personification of, “I don’t want peace - I WANT PROBLEMS, ALWAYS!!” 😂
To be fair, after Ryuga lost the evil energy, he became kinda chill. Even just hanging with Yu from time to time.
But even with the morality switch Ryuga still kept that energy, he defies the trope of the final boss losing their power after joining the main party.

The first reason why L-Drago is known as the “Forbidden Bey” is because while all other Beyblades rotate to the right, L-Drago is the only one at the point in time that rotated purely to the left, hence the “L” in L-Drago. I say purely because the other two beyblades who could rotate to the left were known as Dual rotation Beyblade, which meant they could rotate both left and right. I also say at that point in time when it comes to L-Drago status as the only pure left rotation bey because Dark Knight Dragoon, the second Left Rotating Dragon wasn’t created until several years in the story.
The second reason is because L-Drago had what was known as the “Dark Power”, which let the Beyblade absorb its opponent’s power and makes it its own. Then later on L-Drago was able to evolve, discarding the Dark Power, surpassing it, and achieving the ability to absorb the opponent’s power on its own.
Ummm, is the left/right rotation viewed from the top, or from the bottom of the blade?

I think the way Storm Pegasus won against Lightning L-Drago kinda makes sense. Storm Pegasus was created specifically to counter and defeat L-Drago and actually barely managed to win their first fight, which is the explanation of how L-Drago got sealed in the Beyblade village at all. So, L-Drago’s ability it to absorb negative energy, it would make sense for Storm Pegasus(its counterpart) to get stronger with positive energy via “power of friendship.”
I’m not saying this because Gingka is my favorite character, that spot will ALWAYS be Ryuga(the GOAT) but I’m just trying to provide a possible explanation of how Gingka won.
But the important part is after that ginga was never able to beat him ever again even with galaxy pegasus and cosmic pegasus
@@Dam0727 yeah. It’s also interesting that both those times after Battle Bladers, Gingka hadn’t mastered Galaxy Pegasus or Big Bang Pegasus at those points in time and Ryuga called him out on it both times.

That's wasn't one on one tho. Gingka got kyoya tsubasa and hikaru blocking ryuga so he could finish him off. He won purely because they basically jumped the dude. Ryuga(as clearly shown) is much stronger than any version of pegasus.
Ryuga in bayblade was a whole ass menace in this anime. his forbidden bey is forbidden because it feeds off of any negative energy like M.Bision's psycho power
Ryuga was putting people through it in Beyblade. His voice actor was also super over the top a good chunk of the time so it just made his insults hit that much harder

The IRL Beyblade game was not built for kids, that shit required you to have a full on understanding of how physics worked in relation to rotational force, transfer of force, and how different surfaces and materials reacted to interacting with curves
L-Drago's top IRL was so damn OP that I never saw it lose in any IRL match, that thing is a menace IRL

Ryuga was made so that Gojo and Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen can run. Ryuga had that aura and every time he shows up shit is about go down. He was a menace.

Ryuga took a middle school physics class and brought the whole world to its knees.
Actually disagree with the fact that you said that Beyblade has bad pacing. Across all three generations., plastic, metal which was this, and burst. Beyblade has always kept each season at 51 episodes. And they’re actually paste extremely well, exploring a lot of concepts, building up relationships, we get protagonist episodes, side, character episodes, rival episodes, tournament arcs, And Even some villain episodes to explain why they do the way they do. That with some very interesting characters, I’m honestly surprised how well Beyblade holds up after all these years. Able to take this concept of spinning tops, and making it actually incredibly hype.
Glad you pointed that out. I always felt like almost every character had some really good exploration
Ryuga is seriously one of the best written antagonists in all human history.
Beyblade is such a good show its actually insane
This beyblade show came out in 2009. The powers are from the beys and their partners in which they are connected. Also the powers are real. The show has established this along with the lore. The beyblades either have bey spirits that are were created from the users fighting spirit or from being created from a special item.
I always love when the powers are real in shows like this.
also it explains why some beys do what they do, L Drago steals spin because of Rubber absorbing friction from the opponent, or like Phoenix the Metal sharp performance tip causes the ground beneth it to catch fire, there's the vaccum created by Pegasus spinning around the area at high speeds and so on, a lot of stuff in the series is very well explained besides stuff like Gravity Destroyer controlling gravity
@sdbzfan1 I love how the evolution of L drago abandons the Datk Power and focuses on standard spin stealing. It is less exploitable than the dark power and more representative of Ryuga and L Drago's own power. I am just getting to season 2 on my rewatch, though, some I am dying to see the new bey in action again.

Sol blaze is among the most powerful beys to ever exist. Ryuga tied with him and upgraded his bey.
Next time in the manga that he evolved was after fighting Twisted Tempo.

I love how CJ is just casually forgetting that Pegasus is the one that took out L-Drago centuries ago 🤣. Pegasus is pretty much a spirit bomb. All pure energy. So yeah it's the power friendship but it's actually a character trait for the beyblade. Just like how a gym bro gets a power boost when his bros cheer him on. Same thing. There wasn't any negative energy for L-Drago to feed off of because everybody was cheering for Pegasus

Depending on which series, beyblade is different types of crazy.
In Bakuten Shoot: you have government organizations and cults chasing down teenagers to capture the ancient animals contained in their beyblades.
In Metal Fight: You have ryuga, but you also have "Literal space satan" who steals his power, as well as acts of terrorism and biblical acts being done with beyblades.
In Burst: while I haven't seen much yet, you have at least one guy getting possessed by his beyblade spirit, going to mexico, and starting a cult. Later on that guy, once he gets over his whole "beyblade cult" phase, sees someone else going over the same deep end and tries to train him. That other guy? His beyblade spirit is called Lucifer. Like just...straight up Lucifer. There's also a guy with satan, but we don't talk about him because he's lame.

Back in elementary school (miles elc tucson arizona) Students brought in beyblade tops & stadiums. Very first beyblade series before metal series we play them during recess. It was so popular back in the day.

So just so you don't understand why the Beyblades are so powerful is that within the Lord they came from a star and not only just any star the star that wiped out the dinosaurs. It was a star that was created by the gods themselves every beyblade can be traits to that one single star. Therefore technically almost any of the Beyblades that have closed Origins to the original Star. Has the ability to harness the power of not just the star but of the willpower / Spirit of its user.

23:55 this is the only time I have to disagree, because this is the only time the power of friendship actually makes sense. You have an enemy that feeds off of negative energy, so in order to defeat that or at least counteract that you need positive energy. The power of love, friendship, camaraderie, anything positive will counteract that negativity as long as it's stronger than the hate. This is the one time where that is actually good writing.
