Len'en BPoHC Extra Stage Theme: The Road That Must Be Walked

A theme of the Extra Stage.
All the drunkards around have had their festival, and now it's time to clean up all that mess.
...as great story for extra stage it would be, I don't think it's quite what happens there. Not understanding Japanese doesn't help.
Still, it's the unknown that the imagination thrives on...

I don't know why, but for some reason, I like to imagine that it's very slightly raining during the stage and boss battles (but it stops around extra α).

Anyone notice that the extra bosses are a classic fighter/rogue/wizard trio? At least one is clearly physically strong, one can easily get huge amounts of wealth,and the other has access to a huge host of magic

Even if you swap Xeno a with Haiji, the comparison still works. Xeno a is essentially an anthropomorphic representation of RNG and has the ability to "make miracles inevitable", both of which very much read as magic, whereas Haiji literally steals spell cards (well, wins them off duels, but you know-- not to mention that out-of-universe, their spell cards are Touhou knockoffs) and thus fits easily as rogue/thief

The overdecorated one, RNGsus, and Literal Touhou Reference.
Jokes aside, this theme is such a great fit for the end of this magnum opus of a game.

Is it me or is the Shrine Road used a *LOT* for Extra Stages.
Imagine if Touhou used the Moriya Shrine Road more than in just MoF and SA...
Imagine if there was a Touhou game that would bring back the Hakurei Shrine Road as a stage since the PC-98 era...

Shrine Roads have only been used twice for Extra Stages in Len'en. Though, if we're talking about Stage 1, the Senri Shrine Road has been used a lot, not to mention the entirety of BPoHC's straight neutral route.

​@@AmanomiyaJun the Senri shrine road has been used for all extra stages. It's very clear in EE and BPoHC, but that's also where Lumen made the hole in the barrier in EMS and that Tenkai was fixing in RMI
