Nobody is talking about how great she looks after 14 kids...oh wow, God is great
Amen
Children are a blessing! It’s beautiful to see someone that has a lot of love to give. Especially when you have support of your husband and village.
No they ain’t esp when ppl can’t afford them
I have a nanny/sitter who comes by 3 days a week while I work and or get things done around the house, but she has never taken him anywhere(except outside to play or get some sun). A nanny can still be a good idea just set it up for what's comfortable with you and your family. In no way do I feel replaced, but if Karen has her life set up to where she doesn't have to work and can be 100% hands on with her kids thats blessing and kudos to her.
How much does she charge?
So shocked to hear about her and her husband divorcing. This was such a good episode. There was no indication here, wishing her and her family all the best.
Which one? The one that had 5 heart beats?
@@noonyboonyes, after 14 kids? Heart breaking
Wow
What d hell ? Is you serious?
I've also been Blessed with PARENTHOOD. I have 3 biological children. But mothered countless children. I'm a retired Teachers Assistant. I treat most my nieces, nieces, Nephews, (about 20), and all of my children friends calls me Mom.
I took all this mothering in in this Podcast. I was married for 18 yrs until my husband passed away from Cancer. My girls are all Master Degrees working college Graduates. I'm now the super Nana to 7. So I drop off and pick up all 7 grandkids and watch them until my kids comes home. I usually don't babysit on weekends. But promise to do it 3-4 times a yr so all my daughters and husband/baby dad's can go out together.
❤
You are a treasure
This was a great interview. She's very down to earth.
This woman is blessed honestly 14 people generations of nations
THAT part! 🙌🏽 🌳
Now they're getting divorced, with all them children.
It's okay! They can still be GREAT PARENTS! @@AnaJots
DIVORCE IS NOT THE END OF LIFE'S GREATNESS! ❤❤
@@1ldnldy483 True
Strangest thought... you might find that one of their children may never want to have children at all or double down to one. Strange how living through one reality might create the desire for the exact opposite.
Very true but ok 👍
Wow!🤯 Karen Derrico should have an entire show featured here on BL
I’m with her. Letting somebody “take” my kids somewhere is crazy!
I'm more interested in knowing if she feels like she has her own identity. Its nothing like the kids getting older not knowing who you are outside of being "mommy."
When you become a mommy it’s not about you anymore! Sometimes we get so selfish that everything is about us ! I when you become a mother it doesn’t change no matter what you will never stop being a mom. Aside from that job you can have hobbies 😂😂😂😂
She didn't specify but she said she likes to research and wants to write a book. As well she has two specific friends she likes to talk to at night once the kids are asleep. Just because she may not go out shouldn't equate that sue doesn't have a life other than motherhood.
@@ajbrock59The question wasn't if life is about her after having kids. What I would say is you better take care of yourself in whatever manner that looks like or you won't be your best self for no one. Being a mom doesn't mean that life only revolves around your child or children. My son is 18 and just graduated hs. Thank God my husband and I did have a life that we balance with family life and our son's activities and work. We're finding new and additional hobbies, but the foundation was layed a very long time ago individually, with my husband, and also with my girlfriends.
@@ajbrock59 I don’t think she means her title changing, you’re right you’ll always be a mom but you still as an individual have to take care of you however that look, or have some type of identity once they’re all adults, being a mom may be your first title but not your only one.
Loved this. My husband and I have 8 and I love it! So excited to see a positive outlook on big black families.
This was so beautiful! I love my children, but I often struggle with my relationship with motherhood. I am a single mom and there is some trauma surrounding my experiences with motherhood. I love seeing other mothers enjoying motherhood, because it really is a blessing that everyone doesn’t get to experience. ❤
Such a beautifully vulnerable comment. Please consider speaking with a therapist and joining mommy groups to work through those things. Any unhealed trauma unfortunately gets passed down to the children. It will present itself in adulthood when they kids stop calling and coming over 😔
@@LaAerial Thank you so much for your kind words. 🩷 I definitely have been in therapy for a few years. I am also very intentional about cultivating an open, honest and loving relationship with them. I have raised them to understand that I am human too, and I have had struggles, but my difficulties are of no fault of theirs. My oldest is now 19 and thriving and though it hasn’t been easy, we have been able to cultivate a great relationship. My younger 2 are 15 & 7 and I am doing my best to ensure that we don’t have some of the same trials that I went through with my oldest. It’s definitely been a journey, but the work has been worth it. I just wish sometimes that I had not had some of the difficulties I had so I can enjoy motherhood in the same ways I see others.
One of the best videos i have watched. Just 4 women vibing about divine motherhood. Beautiful job ladies❤
I’m confused, she recently did this podcast stating that she wants more children and now rumors are saying that they are secretly divorced! I’m confused because this does not look or sound like a woman who is ending her marriage!
Yes they are divorced
@@felixmom12 Yes I know
When Karen spoke about being a backup singer for her kids group I 😂 she is too cute "woo woo woo" and they said"oh, no, no, no" I found that so endearing ❤
Finally a mother I can understand and relate to , you go Karen👏🏼!
Saw this interview two weeks ago, and now this woman and her husband are divorced. Not sure why she did this interview.
Another great episode! I'm loving the The Mama's Den podcast ❤
Loved the different perspectives.
I have watched her show since the beginning! They are so positive, organized and loving, the children included!
this was awesome what I love about this , it shows just the diversity of Motherhood
Ms. Derrico, THANK YOU! You have been an encouraging person for me and my perspective and yes, we want to see more of you! 🎉❤
Loved this episode💕💕💕💕 I love watching the Derricos TV show!!!!
This woman is annointed, i need this kind of grace, Lord. This is really her calling. God bless you more, Mama Karen Dee
Karen is really the embodiment of "I was made to be a mother". I really think I was made to be a mother, BUT I can accept help. And would luke to have a career outside of being a mother.
Love you guys and I think this brings back what families used to look like
This was a good story! Y’all get my subscription
This is so comforting 💕
Karen stated that she loves her husband. However, it as of 6/4/24 they are divorce.
I love this podcast and I'm not even a mom yet. The Nanny conversation is interesting. I can definitely say as a child and noticed the hesitation with my mom hiring a visiting nurse. My mom is an RN in Pediatrics. She's a cp mom (I was born with Cerebral palsy). Whenever I had surgery, she'd always take vacation time to take care of me. One time my insurance company sent a visiting nurse while my mom went back to work and I will still recuperating. Let's just say she was pissed. For anybody that has a Caribbean mother when I say pissed you know what that looks like. LOL! she literally inspected me if you know what I mean and was like "never again."
Awesome episode!!! Y’all are all amazing!!
I'm watching from South Africa, I love doubling down with the Dericcos soo much ❤❤
I love them too
Is it on DSTV?
This is beautiful! I love her energy, she makes me want more children after my baby boy! 😊😊🩷🩷
I love Karen for being like me and not being a cooking wife and mom!!
That’s not a flex.
@wpsnick I don't think she meant it as one lol, just that some ppl really aren't good at it, but the sentiment is you have to be one to be a good wife and mom.
Where we you guys when I was having my first baby haha but now that I have found you I can relate pretty well with most of the talks and conversations. Love you guys
I need to hear more from our good sis Karen - wow!
Love this❤ I always enjoyed watching her husband on TLC
I heard of her and the family years ago but watching her on this show I like her.
I love me some Derricos them babies are my nieces and nephews in my heart!!! 🥰
Loooove the Derricos!!! And Karen!!! 🥰
One of my favorite episodes !
One of my favorite episodes ❤
Great episode ❤
Karen is beautiful inside out. God has truly blessed her in so many ways❤
She’s awesome!
I enjoyed hearing them speak about their children. I hope to be a mother 1 day!🙏🏿
SUCH A BLESSING!!!!
I love this❤!
I only have one child. A daughter 3. Going through a separation/divorce makes me very sad about having more children. I grew up an only child so I don’t want there for her. I have faith but trying to not to stress about it. 🙏🏾🌺 To be able to homeschool and afford a nanny and things all stands to having a provider and support. I don’t have that .😢
Yall should really listen to the episode before being so negative in the comments. This wasn’t about bashing doctors or the healthcare system. She actually went on to say she had amazing doctors at the delivery who prayed as each baby came out❤
They asked how they got on the show and it was because of the quintuplet pregnancy so she was telling that story. Yes she mentioned what she was told to inspire people that have fear when they have multiples. Not to bash anyone. It is true. Sometimes you are told things but that doesn’t mean your fate is sealed by what was said. Also, doctors need to learn empathy. You can tell the truth in an empathetic way. If you disagree with that I hope you never have to face any health issues in your life and still be expected to trust someone whose words display “you are just another number to me”. God bless this family.
She's so lively
The world we live in no one is taking my children anywhere
Love Karen! She makes it look so easy. When it comes to activities …… mmm it sounds like they don’t . I hope their oldest gets to be a normal 18 year old
I like her ❤ bless your family Mrs. Derrico
Thank you sooo much for your testimony! ❤🙌🏾 I’m only at the beginning but were they natural births or Csections?
Love your family
Karen derrico ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ this is helpful knowledge ♥️
God has Blessed you to multiple and replenish the earth.
God I thank you for blessing me with my babies.
She definitely need a book
I have 3 girls 1 boy, and I want moreeee lol! But for now I’m good where I’m at, lol! Fertility guilt is real😮💨♥️🫶🏽 Love this episode!! Karen!!!! Bless you!!! I love your story, it’s beautiful! Hope nothing but blessing for you and your husband!
I love this conversation too! My husband and I have 2 kids and I want more but my hubby is on the fence. I believe that if God allows it to happen He will provide for us. I understand times are hard and it’s expensive to have children but we won’t be young forever. I wish the reason behind having more children wasn’t solely because of financial reasons… at least for us that is. 😔
Listening to this interview and watching the show, something is up.
Did he come up with the divorce for her to receive Aid? He only has to pay $11??.00 in child support. That doesn't cover her monthly food bill for her and 14 children. She's responsible for Healthcare, more than $11??.00.
Who gets Eric, the adopted Derrico 🤔
lol Eric is a grown man but I really find the divorce suspicious too
He's grown, however, will he go with Deon?
Natural! Wow God is amazing 👏🏽
Great interview, I came thinking wow this is irresponsible, but as she drove home the experiences are different. She dots the Ts on the things I consider before having kids. I think its great, I’m still a tad bit reserved on this but she seems to be handling it well
What's irresponsible when she and her husband take care of their kids.... matter of fact they all care for their kids along with their spouse. The show came to them but even if not they're not leaning on others or the government. Come on now we have to stop deflecting
@@JM-qg9bo I struck a nerve?
The way there’s an abortion ad on this video is crazy
There is no book on parenting, so the beautiful thing about parenting is that you do what works for you. And leave the rest to The Creator.
I hope she writes that book
This is so beautiful. The self awareness and conscious decision making from @WaterMelonEggRolls is sooooooo impressive! 🩵🩵
and Virgos rock!!
Just watched a few videos, she does have a Man named Eric that helps. Maybe not officially titled “nanny” but apparently does Manny things. 👀
She said she has teachers. She's not paying anyone to care for her kids
My girls!
First time seeing them..and I really admire the one who has 14... people aspire to have lots of material things ..and when they achieve them , they are oftentimes applauded by the majority, but if you have lots of children , they see u as worthless ....twisted world !!!.
Im here for the no nanny and completely understand her POV as a mommy! I want to be the go to for everything…. Meant to be a mommy.
She said first set of triplets! 😅
I'm looking at this woman, 14 kids and she is set, eyelashes done put together and I'm here single no kids looking like a hobo saying I got no time to even do my hair because of my job
She's got a tv show, dont read too much into it! Do simple things that make you FEEL good and strong. That's what's important. Fresh breath, clothes that fit, a bit of conditioner and hair oil when i remember, mascara and lipbalm when i present at work. You got this chica, im like you but i know i value my body and mental strength over material portrayal of style.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
i need a pencil 😂😂😂
But she was told no more ... but didnt listen keeps having more... had a stroke... ev3n her mother in law has begged please stop having kids because shes not fit to help anymore.
Just found out Karen w/14 kids and her husband got a divorce 😮 😮
I think they divorced for financial reasons
Girl no the whole separating thing doesn’t work. My mom calls her identical twin all day ever day for everything. School did that to them and I don’t think they ever forgave the teachers 😂
How many girls and boys?
Is the meal train other people cooking or catered cause 🫣
It can be both!
What are the statistical odds of one woman having quintuplets, twins and two sets of triplets?!
Is there a reason no one ask about her mom, is she ok?
Now they’re divorced 😭
Wait, doesn't Eric help with the kids?
Why do you think he doesn't?
@@JM-qg9bo From the video it seems like it’s only the parents and sometimes the grandmother who take care of the kids.
What she say at 1 hr 3 min?! Lol
She said she had to think of it because she had multiple
The word nanny almost makes me think of a house slave who takes care of the children and the house 😢
