This assumes the Jets will be competitive at the deadline, that Rodgers will be healthy, and the Raiders will be out of contention. All three of those happening at once is highly unlikely.

The question is, does he want to stay with the Jests after Rodgers leaves. Adams is signed through 2026 with a $44mil cap hit for 2025 and 2026. RODGERS is signed through 2025 with a cap hit of $23.5mil. That $44mil would go a looooong way towards reinforcing the Jests OLine, which is how we saw Rodgers get pasted 5min into the first game last ssn.
Personally(as a Miami fan), I'd LOVE to see it but NYJ's front office would be INSANE to go this route

The Packers probably did lowball him. Rodgers kinda hinted at this in that offseason. He said since they (the front office) didn't put in any extra into building the offense that he wasn't going to put any extra effort in either then (which he then skipped all voluntary offseason stuff). At the time I thought he meant the Packers not trying to get a replacement for Adams in any way, no high draft picks spent on a WR, no free agent signing or trades.
But now I think he was talking about them lowballing Davante AND not doing anything to replace him. This also makes more sense with Rodgers pointing out the front office specifically and not Matt LaFleur (MLF does have a say in draft picks and FA signings but not in contract negotiations).
The Jets don’t even need Davante, the offense is loaded enough already.
2 first round picks and a 3rd if you want him. Anything less you can go piss off.

Why not get a bunch of picks and then after you have a bad season you can land a top 5 pick and get whatever the Jets give you. Rodgers doesn’t just magically get his way, even if he did want Adams why would the Raiders trade him? It hasn’t worked out for Adams and maybe if he asked for a trade but I doubt the Raiders are looking to trade him

No doubt, Adams is one of the best top three receivers in the league and he will keep Raider fans happy, but that experiment failed when they got rid of Derek Car and Josh Jacobs.

The issue with trading for Adams is the money. At the end of this season the Jets have to pay Breece Hall, the year after that, you need to pay Sauce, Wilson, and JJ - that's going to be a lot of money. No sure how high the cap will be but Sauce will be the highest paid CB, Wilson will command a hefty salary, and JJ will as well if he continues to rise. Just going to be expensive as all hell without Adams. For what? a year and a half with Rodgers?

Mike I love your vids but this is not it from all aspects. The raiders definitely have a team where they can compete especially now with AP under center. This is the same team had a winning record vs the division last year with Pierce and we improved by adding Wilkins, Bowers, JPJ, etc. Davante has also denounced this multiple times stating he is gonna stay a raider.
