Brian is exceptionally talented. When he performed with us in the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival in LaCrosse Wisconsin in 2010, he sang opera, played classical piano, sang in the choir with us, had a part in our "Fiddler on the Roof" skit, (I was the fiddler) and he almost took the stage for a solo comedy act. Insanely talented.

Simon knows the good singers are out there making money, I've worked with them in clubs in NY. At best his taste is mediocre. He has a taste for the cash.
I'd be more pissed if he were an original artist in the studio. But he acts like he's hot shit when he knows the only way he can make millions is with cheap reality programs.
I am not sorry to say he has as much talent as any recording engineer, he just has fame and money.
I listen to his songs and cringe. A so called artist corrupting the musical medium for his own gain.
The only thing I am interested in is when he is going to come out of the freakin' mahogany double-doored closed he is nesting in. My advice?
"SIMON?....Stop producing ringtone sounding noise, and start fucking the boys".

The night after our big performance (several thousand in the audience, televised on local PBS TV), several of us musicians including Brian sat around our hotel's grand piano in the lobby and we took turns playing. We played and played and played for hours... One of the veterans was a professional songwriter who had written quite a bit of music for Michael Jackson. I played some songs off of 3 of my music CDs. Brian played music from just about every genre, which I cannot do. I'd say he was literally the star of the show as well as our after show playing until midnight. It was amazing.
