- This is from Tim Calvert's personal Forbidden Video Collection. It showcases Steve Jacobs bringing new order to the band with his masterful percussion. Tim offers a mind-bending guitar solo that never ceases to amaze. There was no one better than Forbidden at this time and this rehearsal shows why.
Craig/Tim duo is something out of this world. RIP Tim, your contribution will never be forgotten.
This is awesome! Huge Forbidden Fan! Priceless footage!🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
those LANGNER AMPS....WITH THE ADA....GEEZ....TONE WAS SO GOOD...AND CRAIGS ROBIN GUITAR... BADASS///GOOD OL DAYS
Yep their tone was the best live out of anybody.
Excellent video, thank you! Such an important album, one of their best. I remember being taken aback when it came out, since I was hoping for more “Twisted into Form”-like material. The menacing darkness of “Distortion” quickly grew on me, though, and it became one of my all-time favorite albums. And this performance … chef’s kiss!
Jesus that’s rehearsal it sounds like an album
Fucking KILLER. Tight as fuck. Identical to the recording
One of the greatest metal albums ever, period!! Don't try to argue with me, you will not succeed! 😄
criminally underrated album
There‘s nothing else quite like it
Bro, I'm gonna argue and win instantly. Their first 2 albums, Forbidden Evil and Twisted Into Form were better. I am not saying this isn't good. That's my good friend playing the drums in THIS REHEARSAL. But this isn't better than those 2.
I'm fully aware it's all up for debate, we have opinions that differ. This album has is killer freaking stuff.
@@JudasSlays2426 haha, it's all good my man... I love all those albums! The first two albums are metal classics. It's just that in it's own way Distortion was such a great album and it deserves much more recognizing for experimenting with modern progressive metal. Giving inspiration to bands like Dream Theater and Nevermore. It had something quite unique going on that just clicked with me at the time. Where more traditional Bay area thrash metal, sadly were on the way out. I try to separate the to first albums and Distortion, into kinda Forbidden 1.0 vs. 2.0, if that's makes sense? Hard pressed, I would say the Forbidden Evil album. As a young kid, that album almost saved the genre to me, being so technically impressive. I know that they changed their sound quite a bit later, but I respect them for trying to evolve and pushing the boundaries musically. I regret that they didn't get more support from their record company. They deserved a much more successful career. To me, they are in my personal hall of fame, among the very top of the finest metal bands from that time period. Oh, and Steve Jacobs, is such a talented drummer. Love him on those to last albums. 👍 🤗Sorry for my English, I'm not a native speaker. 🙏
GOOD OL DAYS❤❤ TIM😭
So fucking badass!!
Loved them since the beginning 🖤
Outstanding and tight. Props to Steve Jacobs!
I know him, good friend of mine. Great drummer
Some of the best thrash bands ever” never made it to mainstream super stardom. And they are better in many ways” way better.!!! Forbidden albums kick fucking ass”.

RIP awesome! great Forbidden band. Amazing album, I am af big Forbidden fan
I've read an interview with Tim, looks like it was a nightmare to be in a band with Craig. And nothing but praise for Steve Jacobs: underrated beast!
Did it say what some of the issues were that made Craig such a nightmare to be in a band with?
Steve Jacobs. I know him personally. He was a fucking killer on the skins

Fuckin EPIC !!!
Awesome footage!
Always liked this album but maybe appreciate it more as you get older. Similar situation with Testament's Ritual. It's always been at the lower end of my ranking but on recent listens, I like it a whole lot more.
Why is this album not on Spotify
Nice Langner preamps. Tiiiight
This is so cool.Monster drummer and that lead from Tim is insane.Only question-why does the camera avoid Craig besides some close-up grainy body views?
Because he is too handsome and it would take away from the performance
@@Pleurotus ha ha ha ! craig's good looks come from his mother! a full grown rhino czcams.com/video/XQeu_o5cxRw/video.html

This sounds super good! Any other recordings?
Nope
Langner preamps and power amp. That’s a rare rig. Pricey, that’s if you can even find one now. Total thrash setup.

Was Russ operating the camera? If it was, you're a way better singer than you are a camera man dude
