For THE lip balm, I've got your life saver that I used when my lips were getting like yours (scratchy, red, ...) you can get it in a drugstore: it's the “Uriage: Bariéderm cica lips, repairing balm (in tube) helps for repairs, insulates, soothes,..and much more and It is instantly doing something and feels really good on damaged lips. 💖
I feel you with the dry lips, I have very dry lips EVEN in the summer to the point they start bleeding and flaking really bad. I lit have a very tiny scar on the corner of my upper lips. Also when you purchase lip products make sure they don't have fragrance, they are known to irritate the skin and sensitize your skin. I like to use Dr. Bronners Naked Lip Balm, it's super affordable too (like 3 bucks from target). So I slather that on my lips a bunch because one layer is never enough and then I get Vaseline Lip Therapy (another cheap product). So I top off my lip balm with Vaseline because it's an emollient that acts as a barrier against the Naked Lip Balm and the air. Meaning that the Vaseline protects the moisture of the balm getting out. I can't guarantee this will work for you but its definitely worth a try. After my search of trying out multiple lip balms, I found the best solution to these dry lips, I usually do this only in the nighttime and find myself in the morning with plump and smooth lips. I however recently came across some tips to make your lips less dry: 1. NEVER lick your lips. 2. Try to look for lip balms without dyes and fragrance (includes essential oils like peppermint). 3. Mac blush in fleur power is bomb. It looks like a medium bright pink but I promise you it goes on so natural and it’s like at least for me my natural blush. I wear it when I do like just concealer, highlight, brow gel and mascara
