- SCP 6448 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Not Deer.
SCP-6448 is an anomalous branch of the Cervidae family. All members of this group display heightened intelligence and are presumed to be sapient. Many SCP6448 specimens exhibit some form of physical malformation, causing them stand out from non-anomalous deer.
Aside from physical disfigurement, instances show severe divergence from the behaviour of other cervids. Namely, SCP-6448 are known to watch, observe and stalk humans, often for hours or days. This includes following humans to and from their homes, wherein they will proceed to steal belongings, weapons and food.

@@robertdale8758 It is an art style, it's called the Corporate Memphis or Big Tech Art Style. You see it all the time in commercials and adverts. It isn't AI generated at all, from what I understand of it. It's just easy to design and animate compared to anything else.
I'm pretty sure emergency services would never tell you to go investigate the suspicious calling out in the woods. 🤔

The narrator clearly states that there is a recorded call in which the operator tells them to investigate. I'm not sure how someone's hallucination would end up in an official document of the us emergency call center or a police department.

Right? Like you realize THATS WHY I'm calling the POLICE right???? The reason why I need the police is because I don’t want to die while investigating this clearly creepy and malicious sound. It's like saying there's an intruder with a gun in your house and they ask you to see if you can fight him off first before they come. Like I'm calling for help so you can get him cause I'm already aware I need assistance from this obvious danger.

To be fair it is most likely someone who needs immediate help that the police might not be able to administer and the only way the operator knows who to send is by what’s reported.

I think out of every scp, folklore, and fantasy creature, this one scares me the most, as a person who lives in the woods and commonly sees deer. I currently feel very unsafe in my living room in the dark and dead of night after watching this. Feeling very vulnerable after in the story the notdeer broke into that house so easily and began crawling like an arachnid towards the closet the woman was hiding in. 10/10 will never sleep again. good job!

Yeah, and the fact that they are really just blobs of black slime inside a deer is even creepier. Hopefully they can catch the actual creature and find out what it really is.
@@JoshLefelhocz they escaped three times, possibly before anyone even knew about the black slime. It then escaped an scp site in emergency containment protocol. I don't think it is quite that easy to catch.
@@ryanpiercy3390 They've managed to contain many slippery SCPs, even something like 682. I think a Not Deer is easy compared to that damn lizard. Or something like 096 or 173 which are ticking time bombs.
@@JoshLefelhocz dunno, they still know so little about it that it is hard to be sure. For all we know it can spit acid strong enough to melt through 10 feet of steel. We don't know enough to be sure containment will hold. Though they could certainly take steps that would force it to reveal its hand in order to escape.
@@ryanpiercy3390 Well, all we can do is experiment and test various methods of containment until we have something that works. Good thing there's still a good supply of D-Class.
This is actually a (relatively) real phenomena. In the US, most sightings are in the areas in/near the Appalachian Mountains. Ask almost any local and they'll tell you "If you saw something.. no you didn't." The same sentiment towards never whistling in the woods at night. You're reccomended, if you think you see a not-deer, to pretend you didn't, back away slowly and leave it alone, then refuse to admit to yourself you had an encounter.
yeah as i'm from west virginia most people tell you never whistle or make your self know especially if your by your self deep in the mountains and any type of deep woods.
Can confirm, I live in northern Alabama and when hunting or hiking I am told not to imitate a deer in any way, even to get ones attention or to whistle, but I've never heard of a "Not-deer" before so this is slightly unsettling.

As someone from NC, I’ve heard a lot about the not deer and I saw this video so I added it to my night list (I almost exclusively listen while going to sleep) and this terrified me, especially the “redacted” there are no simple animations I’m watching while my eyes are close so I’m just straight up watching it play out in my head. This is the first time
Right? I think it’s because it’s something so realistic that it almost seems possible that it really exists
A big thing with supernatural beings is to never bring attention to yourself. Don't say names, use synonyms or first letters. Don't make noises that let something know you're nearby. And NEVER go looking if you hear or see something, just quickly and calmly leave immediately!

The story about the creature on a quest to get it's tail back from a hunter was a story told to me and my Chorus classmates back in 3rd grade. Was an interesting story at the time.

i got a theory as to what it is, it could be the black mass is inside a dead deer, controlling it like some sort of twisted puppet show and distorting it into what it would assume is it's "Best form"
Finally regular scp videos again. But this is the weirdest scps I've ever heard of. A deer that's not a deer, if you look at it it'll kill you, but if you ignore it you live? If you're in a cabin you could brutally die.......

I’m pretty sure the issue with the whole “promise me you won’t talk to it, look at it or move towards it” part is that *anything made of flesh can be blown apart by a S&W 500 or 12 gauge*
Putting holes through vital organs with sufficient speed, mass, and composition should stop anything that breathes. But I like my wrist so I'd go with 12 Gauge.
Sure, the skin and flesh parts are a-okay to shoot when you meet it.

For those unaware this is based very loosely on CWD or chronic wasting disease.
Chronic wasting disease (CWD) is a prion disease that affects deer, elk, reindeer, sika deer and moose. It has been found in some areas of North America, including Canada and the United States, Norway and South Korea. As someone who has lived in the deep, DEEP Appalachians, heed the warnings. Listen to your elders. Say nothing and pretend you SAW NOTHING. There are things out there that can't be explained. Not yet.
only thing unexplainable in most hollers is why half of the kids wind up on the heroin highway, never working, living off their folks and getting checks for their lack of troubles lmao. I'm in "deep" appy, town of under 300, most kids would probably think a job application or black person is a cryptid. Don't put much stock in what this person says lol. Creepiest thing out here is the fact that if a tweaker breaks in the closest cop is like 30 minutes away.
The -Deer- is still an improvement over the alien god Deer, but then again that is not a particularly high bar to set.

As a guy from West Virginia ( the third most forested state in America) the night can get very dark under the canopy in Appalachia and the stories you hear as a kid of all the things you can hear out in the woods at night are creepy as HELL. my grand mother lives in the center of the state and at night there the dark can play tricks on your eyes when i came to visit her i would hear deers trying to mate in the autumn the sounds they would make are horrible and the mountain lion screams when you hear that in the woods by your self it scares the living shit out of you and you start to understand where all the folk lore and camp stories you would hear when families passed them down came from.....
the bobcat in my woods sounds like a drunken child throwing a tantrum, awful, awful noise. Closest thing city people get is fox mating yells, which still sound a bit like barking at least.
