- This week we found free camping in Florida. When you think of places to camp for free, Florida is not the First state you think of. Turns out there are a lot of places to camp for free that are not a parking lot!

The location detail’s are in the video description. Cypress Preserve is one of many free boondocking locations in Florida- I used Campendium to search for free camping to find one in the area we wanted to stay at.

Very timely. Our issue is not finding FREE camping but just ANY camping in Florida. We may fall back on something like this. BTW, what's that thing projecting from your left hood at 5:00? See you guys in a few weeks...
We had the same issue for the first two weeks in January, then I found Florida State Forest campgrounds. Just as nice as the state parks but half the price and not as well known.
Those are off road lights at the corner of my hood. They are pointed off to the side of the road and are very helpful when pulling into a campground at night.

Happy New Year @2000talon! If it’s just an overnight than I would not unhook. We stayed 3 nights at Cypress Persevere and needed to do laundry- so we unhooked.

Sometimes you have to pivot! It was a good alternative for your situation. Are you able to run a generator there if it gets humid? That would be my concern with using these sites. Nice job.
We could have used a generator if we had one. We picked the site by the trees to get some shade but lost most of the solar during the day and got very little recharge in our batteries. After 3 days we left with 20% battery left. Overall it worked out for us and made for a interesting video.
