An incredible story of their escape and the trauma of traveling by foot through winter weather out of communist Eastern Europe into freedom..........the white outs from days of trudging through snow caused eye sensitivity damage to a young John Kay that required him to weare sun glasses in most situations after that.............
Fantastic selection. One of the all time classic rock songs. Never gets old and always gets your motor running. The movie is good, this song is better.
The film Easy Rider is well worth watching. (The lyric “heavy metal thunder” is thought to be the first use of the phrase heavy metal in music.)
"The Pusher" by Steppenwolf is another great song; written by Hoyt Axton, his version of "The Pusher" is really wild....

This was an epic song in my teens. I had no motor bike nor licence, but many years later, early 80s, with some friends, we were in Kathmandu Valley. We hired three motorcycles for the five of us, to go uphill to see the Everest. And this song was in my head all the way up!

We began every road trip vacation for the past 30 years playing this out of the driveway. Always put us in the right frame of mind.

First time to come across your channel and sorry I’m late to this video. But this was the quintessential anthem for bikers, it evokes the freedom and rebellious spirit that the counterculture generation of the 60s had. Iconic film-Easy Rider. God rest Peter Fonda, Dennis Hopper, but we still have Jack Nicholson who hitched a bike ride with Fonda in this film wearing his role alma mater Notre Dame football helmet. Nice reaction ladies.❤
