  • Jack goes through his early years of getting into crime, doing robberies with his favorite weapon, getting caught at KC Market, putting an end to his trail of crimes.
As a 17 year old, Jack was charged with numerous crimes that led the judge to charging him as an adult. Unheard of at this time in Hawaii, Jack would spend years in prison before providing himself a break.
Meanwhile, he is in the land of the giants. Stay tuned as we take this journey with Jack.

The first 8 years of my life was spent next to the Oahu Prison farm and Kalihi Stream. My second 13 years was spent next to the prison ball park and the railroad tracks. I left Hawaii on 1953.

Kona Gold! I remember hearing my older brother and sister talk about "the quality" of the pot on Oahu compared to the pot on The Mainland in Southern Cal. We lived on Hickam AFB and seemed like whenever we got the chance to go to "The Pipeline" and The North Shore area, the Red Flay was ALWAYS out and we couldn't even body surf....let alone board surf. We'd try to convince Dad to let us at least stay and wax our boards "just in case" and he would too because he himself loved watching The Island Mokulele's Ride Those Humongous Sets! We were only there 4 years but man was it a gnarly experience! Aloha All and Hang Loose

Back in the 50s I remember this one guy used to escape from Oahu prison. The Oahu prison was in Kalihi. I forgot his name but this was before the halawa prison was built.

That is such a beautiful aloha shirt. The kind where a little aloha stays on you even after you take it off.

You are skipping over most of the reasons we turn out a certain way. It's not by accident or coincidence... Good thing is most people can change as I did and still changing to this day. Celebrate life #mahalos
