@milkandcookiesTW One of my favourite battle reports to the date, love your videos and can't wait to see vermintide 2: chaos wastes on this channel c:
So Indy, you said that the tomb kings player needed the sphinx of Usef or the titan. I agree the single entity, but what about more stalkers or the regular sphinx?
@@pdc4930 regular Sphinx isnt very good imo. More Stalkers could be viable for sure. Or a Necropolis Knight or 2

I was just thinking that cycle charge spam was super disappointing. Makes me really appreciate the players who use tourney rules. Really reduces the amount of drawn out conclusions.
Yeah the game was really exciting until the latter half. Unfortunate how most VC matchups either evolves into large messy blobfights or endless cycle charging from single entities.
I agree. Under tournament rules, this would've been a convincing victory for the tomb kings. Who knows, maybe there could've still been a throw.
The cycle charging here was easily counterable, the player just refused to adapt. Bullheaded mentalities like yours lose a lot of games that could be won, and tournament rules are for the most part showmanship garbage that is only useful to put up a show, not as a proper test of skill.
@@mariojorge68 No reason to throw insults at anyone. If you are not going to be civil there is no reason to take you seriously at all. When it comes to these videos, they are practically 100% for show, so yeah, i'd rather have tourny rules than boring, repetetive cycle charging with minimal engagement between the players.
notably the VC would have no chance here under tournament rules, as soon as they were down to 2 blood knights and lord on dragon vs the infantry blob, even if they had another summon it would not be enough time to get as much cycle charging as was needed there
I can't wait for one day to see a Neferata vs Khalida match done by you

Strait out of Khemri boys. We have some Lamian blood lines to sever.
The later half of this battle was a perfect example of why there are rules about not constantly cycle charging.
to be fair if it is in the game it should be allowed. Its clearly an intended game mechanic at this point.
So, you're blaming someone for using his mobility and don't suiciding his units into a melee fight ?

Tournament rules, TK player would’ve defo been the champ.
may ur comment be spared the toxic arguments mine has. 100% agreed my fellow honorable sir!
how are tournament rules different?
@@willfeen (If this was a tournament) in the end game situation with just the Zombie Dragon + 2 Blood Knights remaining, the Vampire Counts player would have been forced to leave either one of his Blood Knights or his Zombie Dragon in melee at all times. If you only have highly mobile units left, you have to commit to a melee engagement with at least one of them. This is to avoid abuse with cycle charging that some cav and single entity monsters can pull off, due to their high weapon strength, charge, and mass

Ect' / Gimrrin just because something is possible in a game doesn’t mean it is balanced/intended, that’s why rules are made.

That was a sick game Indy! Nice commentary, good editing, well played game, wicked video!
Aww TK threw that game at the end sadly. WP until the end, but placing his halberds up front was a huge mistake and a bit too late counter charging the blood knights. But a great game overall!
seperating the force to chase blood knights at end game is a failure, you just can't get them on foot and the priest alone cannot fight dragon plus anti large calvary, he need Settra. Gaze is ok, but better save more magic for the net.
Love tour commentaries. Funny as all hell. Keep up the great work!
Gorgeous battle. VC spells were utilised really well, especially those Zombie summons. Love games where the balance bar swings.
For the love of Horus! Learn to use the halt command. There were probably 4 or 5 times in the endgame I watched Blood Knights charge into advancing Tomb Guard Halberds! I get that in the initial engagements you don't have the micro to respond to every charge, but by the endgame, the Counts only had three units left. Flippin' watch them, and when they charge, order their target to halt! Charge Defence is a sorely under-utilized ability.
THey where disorganized, so no charge def buff, the counts player played it perfectly
Nice commentary and cinematics as usual, read the comments first and saw a lot of extreme reactions to what looked like a fairly standard game. Thought both players tried to deal with the close situation pretty reasonably at the end there
I'm giving that game to the Tomb King player. This is a perfect example of why I like tourney rules. The cheezing is infuriating to watch
Same
Oh please, cry more of a river. The TK micro at the game's end was pitiful. He got arrogant and threw hard. He didn't deserve that win and if they were playing by tournament rules the player with only 2 cav and a lord remaining would be forced to play like a massive imbecilic moron for the sake of pleasing arbitrary judgements of what is and isn't fun to watch.
Mario Jorge bruh, you commented twice on the exact same thing...
Guess we found the cheezer.
Yeah multiplayer is pretty much a joke outside the tounament (and showmatch) scene. Thankfully the small tourney community is rather active. You can get much better games on Discord.
@@PeteTheGrouch I barely play multiplayer, and when I do it's thematic armies. But I don't get my panties in a twist for cycle charging when I go against it because I'm not a sad little kid who gets mad when others use their toys well.

What an Awesome Battle! Well Played.
Those cycle charges were surprisingly entertaining
That was some high quality Blood Knight play.
Good match till the end, good casting, but the cycle charging rubs me the wrong way. The TK players main folly were those wind spells but how the VC played made the end frustrating to watch. However good video nonetheless keep it up Indy!
I'm going to enjoy watching this whilst I cook breakfast. Cheers for the video milkdaddy!

Yea pretty lame tbh. Every one knows cycle charge spam at the end of games is OP.
Seems like a stupid rule if you have cavalry you should be able to charge all you want but maybe the devs should nerf charges when there is a lower model count or something.

Baldness and pale skin, eh? At least I can come out of quarantine as a vampire...
Does it make sense for undead to be hurt by poison? I mean they don't have functional internal organs to be affected by the poison and most of them are just bones anyway.
it would get way too confusing if they went faction by faction, unit by unit figuring out which would be "realistic" debuffs for a unit or not. Fate of Bjuna in the lore is a laughing attack that corrupts ones soul and makes them die, while Curse of Years makes a creature age instantly to bones. Should these spells not affect undead, because how would a Zombie or Skeleton laugh itself to death? Debuffs like Poison affect all units because the game would become an unreadable, confusing mess otherwise
Dead guys VS Dead guys
who is the earlier dead ? or Whose grave is more expensive?
The VC player had 5 models left. Doesn't get much closer than that.
WOOOOO! VAMPIRE COUNTS FTW!! 🤘🏻👻💀🦇

Ok Indy, been checking out some mods cuz you and Nate (Great Book of Grudges) both have show either stream or video of Kisliv so I did the work to get all the mods and get them working properly. After ALL that I then found the gem that is the Vangheist, Captain of the Shadewraith faction unlocker and holy hell I'm in love. The campaign for this dude feels like it's CA made. He's got very clear campaign. His recruited special units cost a tad more but SO WORTH IT FOR ALL GHOSTY ARMIES! Like, ghost zombies with 75% Phys protection should make even Legend be happy with a staunch line of Gunnery Mobs. If you ain'g got magic, you ain't killin my Ghost Zombie Crew Jack Sparrow!
another cycle charge to win victory registered.
Did I just hear Invoker joke 9:16 ? XD
Skellington war!
I don't get the hate about cycle charge.
People don't know what they're talking about. It used to be really obnoxious for a time during the games career, like in WH1. It was there, too. Tournament rules forbid cycle charging by having your flying unit / lord on the ground for X amount of seconds, and you're not allowed to cycle charge if it's the only entity left. Both of those rules weren't really broken in this replay and people in the comment section are fuming for some reason, despite this being a really close battle after the TK player made some mistakes.
As soon as people see a flying lord and actually use them for what they are meant for, they are often quick to cry ''wahhh cycle charging cheaters!!!!"
You would if you played skilled players like Lotus_Moon who can micro 4 units of dragon princes at the same time perfectly.
Its not about cycle charging its about abusing cycle charging. Its not fun to play against, its not fun to watch. Thats why these tournament level players made rules against doing it.
Yeah you just said what I explained in my post about cycle charging and tourney rules. Also this battle is fought between 2 regular players and not Lotus moon, so stop complaining just cause he is better than you. If you don't like fightimg against him and don't play against him lol.
@@TheSyrx lmao the fuck is wrong with you loser? Are you the counts player or something? You're taking this way too personally.
I've already said since it wasn't a tourny match then it was fine. I still don't think its fun to watch but what ever.
Indy, I’m bald and pale. Am I a vampire? Please help.
Not sure i like this TK build. Too much expensive and mostly useless infantry and not enough mass. One more Stalker would go a long way. Settra on a Chariot to destroy infantry, but VC infantry is not even a threat most of the time, im pretty sure the Khepra Guard with some support beats any reasonable amount of Grave Guard no problem. Chosen of the Gods are not enough to threaten a healing dragon on their own, if you want to snipe him you need to Spirit Leech him and add bowshabti or two.
Why is it nicknamed blessed legion of demonetized?
@Rubz their actual name is the Blessed Legion of Phakth. CZcams algorithm doesn't like it because Phakth sounds like another popular word, hence the nickname. Personally I prefer the nickname, it's funny :D
1:17 Demonetized archers
Zombies saved the day...
so basically that zombie summon killed settra
Maybe i've been watching to much tourny play and its biased me against the cycle spam win. Tournament rules make for cleaner games and victories, but sometimes it would force players into situations where they have to sacrifice powerful troops. Well played either way.

Cycle charging at end isn’t tourney rules I don’t think
correct, but it wasnt a tourney
Shouldn't this have been a Khalida battle due to her hatred of vampires?
As a great man, no godly being once said SETTRA DOES NOT BOW
Great match, but a bit of a frustrating ending. The TK player made consistently effective moves up to the end, and had some great small-level plays, where the Vamps player was just nnot on the same level. And yet at the end of the piece it turned into abject cycle charging. Particularly annoying since the TK player played well enough that they must know about the halt order to rob the cycle-chargers of the bonus, which would have made the Tomb Guard just impossible to deal with while they slowly got Gazed down. Sure, you have to keep your forces moving to avoid the Pendulum, but you don't need to let them get hit full-force. It was just odd to see the slip-up from someone who'd played much better at the start when there were even more units to worry about.
Very strange unit picks though. Why would you bring Carrion against a faction that has no missile units? Why would you bring the Blessed Legion of Fuck if you're not bringing any other archers? I find TK archers extremely efficient when you bring a few of them + the Blessed Legion, they can absolutely melt units when they work in tandem. TK player could've won it but I feel in the end he kind of threw it. :(
Ushabti and Sepulchral Stalkers already have AP missiles so the Blessed Legion's armour sundering was kind of wasted anyway imo. Still, a fun and very close battle :D
le pro du cycle charge c'est le meilleurs
what came first who made who.. vengeance from the grave for the curses that were made. fight like you still have skin mien children..
Tbh, feel like vamp counts didnt really deserve that victory, they were getting absolutely stomped and then suddenly they cycle charge a pretty healthy army to pieces with 3 units, just looked like TK couldn't do anything to stop it, though idk why they countercharged cav with halberds, that probably would've helped. Then again, I suppose I'm not super skilled at this game
The TK shat away his infantry and got arrogant with his halberds at the end. His micro was also terrible.
9:45 therefore there is an attack rule in tournaments
Blessed legion of demonetized?
I take it you called em demonitized because you couldn't say Phakth
It wouldnt actually demonetize the video, but yeah thats the meme ;P
The "a" is pronounced "uh", and the "kth" is pronounced "k't", silent h (actually a small friccative exhale, hard to describe, which is why languages without them, like English, just drop it).

From a dwarf player used to get cycle charged, kite and all that stuff :
C'mon guys, why are you blaming that VC player ? He's just playing the way his units are meant to be. Blame CA if you really want someone to blame
The Tomb Kings player did poorly choices in the end of that game, getting the pendulum two time with an infantry blob was stupid, and it's only his fault. He lost because of it, not because of that cycle charging, which IS an entire and legit way of playing, and it needs a lot of micro.
Couldn't you just congratulate the two players, enjoy the game and stop being assholes ?
Really disgusting cycle charging at the end... TK deserved the win
So, you're blaming someone for using his mobility and don't suiciding his units into a melee fight ?
C'mon man
@@gimrrin8724 Its really toxic behaviour and forbidden in all competitive tournament rulesets. So yeah... I guess it was QB and so you have to be prepared for something like that, but my point stands, TK deserved the win
Lmao, what? If you think that was disgusting cycle charging then you've not seen how bad it used to be, or how bad it can be, or you just haven't seen much of the multiplayer gameplay. The VC player had Blood Knights left who were stuck in combat, so even by tournament rules he would be allowed to use his charge bonus to the fullest of potential. Any player would do this. The Vampire Lord stayed in combat for long enough, too. It doesn't even look cheesy.

Wow, a strategy relying on sepulchral stalkers failing? Imagine my surprise 😮🙄
they're a good unit and have been for awhile!
The Stalkers did great; the problem is that he had too many diffrent kinds of units to juggle, and Tomb Guard with shields aren't the best choice against a faction with no arrows.
He could have gotten a couple of Ushabti bows and Sep Stalkers instead, or better still, four skele archers and some skele spearmen to guard them: lots of ranged pressure, plenty of anti-large, and just enough frontline to hold while the archers and Setra do the dirty work.
There are never guarantees, of course, but an army that's easy to manage tends to work better than those that can theoretically handle everything, but require very on-point micro.
@@milkandcookiesTW i hear you guys, but i have really never seen them work out in a video. They seem kinda overcosted as well.

Yo that Counts player is a straight cheater. I hate it when people kite and cycle charge when they have no skirmish options left. Had he kept one of his BK's or the Lord in melee and used the other to cycle then what ever but that was straight up unfair.
bit excessive lol. cycle charging with cavalry is not cheating, its been the best way to get use out of them since Shogun 1. there are rules against it in tournaments because it can be abused, but TK player would have won if he had not been Pendulum'ed twice, which was entirely his own fault.
@@milkandcookiesTW I wont argue the fact that he made mistakes by blobbing his infantry knowing she had a wind spell. But it still rubs me wrong seeing cycle charging being abused like that. But I guess they weren't playing tournament rules so I'll concede the argument.
Using the cavalry in its intended use is cheating. Yeah right. The TK player deserved the loss fair and square.
@@mariojorge68 By tournament rules it is cheating. The only thing that saves the Count player is that they were having a friendly match and not playing by any rules.
@@Scorpion122178 Cavalry isn't supposed to sit in combat and fight. If you can't grasp such basic thing, play with tournament rules with your friends who agree to your rules.
TK player still could have won at the end, his micro got sloppy and didn’t capitalize on having anti large infantry. I have seen tourney rules but you can’t expect the VC player to just throw away his units and not cycle charge. TK player couldn’t take out the cav win goes to VC player.
games with players that dont play with tournament rules aint even worth casting, too much cancer---under normal circumstances the TK would have won cause the VC pleb would have to always leave one unit fighing and considering only cav and a dragon were left in sustained combat vs halberds it'd be a fast gg
