How about penalties if doping is proven within a year of the race? In addition to a refund of premiums? The additional money could go to lower-ranked athletes, who not only would have had a better placement, but probably also additional income from the achievement of sponsorship targets.

I hate to say it but I read people for a living and there is something not right about Jan's eye movement and reaction when he responds about Chartier's doping. Obviously it doesn't make him guilty of anything but it is interesting to say the least.
Totally agree with Jan. Doping is fraudulent behaviour and should carry a matching punishment. Once you start 'closing your eyes' to this criminal behaviour the sport is completely destroyed.

The main problem with doping is prize money, triathlon was more dope proof when it was just about love of the sport and fringe attention
