Notice how you can hear the ground thud in the impact before the shockwave That is due to the speed of sound/vibration being faster through solid earth/stone
@@kevinwinters4803true, but that might just have a significant Performance cost. If you remember Crysis back in the day, part of the reason it ran so bad, was that every tree and hut was destructible. Scripted and in stages, but yesh you could destroy them. MWLL or Mechwarrior Living Legends, the famous Crysis/Crysis Wars Mod that started the Battletech/Mechwarrior Renaissance had to deactivate that feature pretty quick, as a 10-15 meter high and 20-100 Ton Mexh does quite a number on a forest.
Mind you it isn’t splash damage yet… sadly
Of course 🤣
We need it already :/
only dcs would decide to model the visual effect that causes splash damage before adding the actual damage
@@_cyantist pretty much 😂
Oh. That is what that note was about. Cool

Nice effect, but DCS still has those titanium trees
That's more realistic. Now if they could just get water splashes correct.
Looks good
Thats awesome
cool!
Option to toggle this? And any noticble performance hit. Wonder how it will cope with a bomb load
Seems to be just core mechanics now.
🔥
Great!!
How do you get rotor wash? I don't seem to have it
I’m
Unsure. I’ve not changed a setting for it. Medium settings for me.
I have it in the KA50 and Apache when taking off or landing but I've never looked for standard flight
Well, soon my PC cant handle DCS again -_-
Do you have turn on a setting? I'm not see it in my game.
I did nothing and I’m using med range settings. Type of munition seems to matter tho.
@@flightsimulatoradventures7246 I was using the big jdams on the 18.
@@flightsimulatoradventures7246 Is this a mechanism that already exists?
Does it clear trees out and affect the terrain now?
I need to test on the other maps but didn’t seem to on Mariana’s. Further testing required.
Trees in DCS have been indestructible. A sapling will stop a tank. Having destructible trees would be a great addition.
@@kevinwinters4803 couldn’t agree more.

@@LupusAries MWLL definitely had and has destructible trees
💞Wow🧡🧡🧡🧡💛🧡💛💛
DCS is the best looking game ever
it's still bad bro sound too
