- See what brand new Play Airlines is all about as I fly with them from Boston to Iceland! Took this Trans Atlantic flight on an A321 Neo which was different but I had an entire row to myself with amazing legroom.
Just made this trip (Boston to Reykjavik on Play) last week. We had a different plane with no video screens and no foldable headrests, but otherwise it was very much the same. Oh, and our fight was booked full, so no empty row for us. Finally, it's later in the year, so it got dark very early in the flight. Sadly, this meant we got no glorious view of Greenland. But they got us there safely, and that's the main thing.

TRYING to see if i want to book with them to paris (they stop at iceland)... cheaper flights but i'm 6'1 and bigger so comfortability is important to me... Looks like they're as uncomfortable as SPIRIT.
@@Tunechi65Each plane is different. We flew play to Dublin via Iceland. My husband is also 6’1”. The first leg was terrible legroom. The other 3 were perfectly fine.

You land in Keflavik, 40 min from Reykjavík. Was partly a US/Nato airport from WW2 until 2006. Then all tourists had to go through military checkpoints entering or leaving the then fenced off airport. Now there are always few fighter jets there from different European/Nato countries. They take turns and each country stays for 3 months ca practising. We don't have an army. You could take us over in few days with hayforks :)

Do you know if they were pretty strict with carry-on bags? Some airlines don't really check to see if you paid for a bag but some do so I don't know if I should risk and not buy one prior to my flight.
They were very chill about the bags but I brought a large backpack because you never know what gate agent you’ll get
Great video. I’ll be taking this exact flight next month and was wondering how they dealt with the personal item. I have a backpack that is just slightly over the limit and was wondering if they checked each personal item. I never had an issue with other airlines just wondering how it went with your flight.
They didn't check so you shouldn't have a problem. My backpack was way over the limit and they didn't say anything.

Yes their first ever flight was on June 24th 2021!

Not at all the seats recline and there was lots of leg room at least on the plane I was on
