- The plaintiff bought sea moss from the defendant because it has numerous health benefits and vitamins in it. She claims the sea moss she purchased was dried, old, and unusable, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant argues the sea moss is supposed to be dry. He says he won’t refund her because the plaintiff refuses to send the product back.
Case: 31-332

That recording of the phone call was hilarious and it really backfired on the defendant.
Right!? I thought he was going to show her being belligerent or something but she was in no way different on the phone than she was today in court
I'm trying to figure out how he thought that was a good idea. He's a scammer and that condescending tone would set all my alarm bells off. All of this for $30
@@raquelh8791- I think he's a scammer too. He ignored her calls until she made a dispute.
I can’t believe the defendant played that recording in court, AS IF IT MADE HIM LOOK GOOD or proved his case. My ears heard the plaintiff OWNING the defendant on the call. 😳😜😂
Absolutely! And it proved he lied in court. He said he offered her a full refund, not $5. He seems like a scammer to me. He didn't even send that crap until she made a dispute after repeated calls to him.
Lmaoooo the phone call! 😭😂 that did not help his case at all I’m crying 😂😂😂
He should’ve just left that out because she handed him his ass on a silver platter😂
@@ericahoward1992 she really did! 😂 he thought he was doing something
She ate him up on the phone call! I'm in tears.
No no no... she "comsumed" him... She doesn't eat anything.
That phone call. She told him off good fashion 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂 she sure did!
I loved how Judge Milian laughed at the defendant’s audio recording 😂😂😂
The sea moss the defendant provided looks like something is wrong with it. Glad the plaintiff got her money back.
Whoa, slow down there a little bit. You lost me with all that technical jargon and scientific nutritional analysis results. Break it down in laymen's terms and explain to us how the quality is measured and how this moss stacks up to those standards. You've piqued my interest... ;)
@@googleyt2622 I do not believe she gets hers from St. Lucia. This is why. We order from St. Lucia and we have the certificates to prove it. visit theysource.com/ and you will see all of our certificates . We provide them to the public. This was good for T.V. she was fun to be on the show with but the facts speak for themselves. We should have just refunded her money it was very petty I would agree. Thanks for watching we appreciate your comment.
@@theysource4651 Are you the idiot who played the recording instructing the plaintiff to TRY the product.. and then refused to refund her money when she followed your instructions and tried it? LOL
@@theysource4651 Are you the defendant who played the recording where you TOLD the plaintiff to TRY the product.. and then claimed you couldn't give a refund because she followed your instructions and tried it? LOL
@@mw7002 No. The plaintiff was asked to send the product back if she wasn't satisfied and we would provide a full refund but she chose not to return the product. We understood that she was looking for a payday. This is a T. V show. We both were paid to be on the show. Have our appearance and evidence was cut to make this show interesting. Be careful what you believe. Fake news 😂
Barber: Sir, did you want a close fade or did you want locs?
Defendant: Yes
Barber: Okay 🤷🏽♀️
🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣
That's what Dr Klumpp would call shitlocks

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I see nothing wrong with her conversation in the phone call. She told him what he needed to hear. And then…..he tells her to try the product. Then he says “I can’t refund her cause she tried it.” No Sir, you tried it.
Yes, this is the crux of the case. Defendant was not acting in good faith and presented false claims to the court.
Go go v
these are two people from the hood that made up a fake 25 dollar case in order to earn 500 dollars each from the show . there is no damn way a person is gonna sue in small claims court over 25 dollars because it costs more than that just to spend your time and money filing the damn claim.
@@marleonetti7 this had nothing to do with the hood. The defendant thought he could sell the plaintiff a poor quality product and get away with it and he did it because she was a woman. I turned down a big contract and refund a former client their money just for a peace of mind. Even when I did that they still tried to get me to do the job and I refused. They said they would pay me whatever the cost but if they act like that for a short span I don't need that kind of drama no matter how much money.
Lmao "No sir you tried it"?! 🤣
"She felt like she was entitled to the refund" yeah it seems like she was
"About a $5 discount?"
You could hear her face through her voice lol
All this moss talk & the only thing I can focus on is the defendants hair & that he appears to be in a bathroom 😕
😂😂😂😂😂😭
omg.. wth? 😅😅
omg you’re so right it even has a slight echo like a bathroom
The defendant seems shady to me!!
Nah
He's just robbing Peter to pay Paul trying to get his little business going right now. He needs to get more time in customer service is all. Part of doing business.
It's the principalities! - Big Worm
Dude should've just refunded the money.. Now u gotta pay court cost and your sea moss business has been put on blast and not in a favorable way 😕😒🙄
BIG WORM?!??!?!🤣🤣🤣
His team should have told him better 😜🤣
As I always say, it's petty to sue for a small $ but pettier to not repay a small $, as a business owner, he should've calculated his cost vs profits and realized that coming to TV for a refusal to repay $30 of a bad product would not help him. We all hate buying from huge corporations like Walmart and Amazon but one thing that keeps them thriving over small businesses is their customer service/ client satisfaction services. I don't buy from random websites because I worry about getting bad products and not being able to return them.
these are two people from the hood that made up a fake 25 dollar case in order to earn 500 dollars each from the show . there is no damn way a person is gonna sue in small claims court over 25 dollars because it costs more than that just to spend your time and money filing the damn claim.
@@marleonetti7 I guess You have the experience with scamming so you must know better. I’ve seen people from all races sue for amounts I wouldn’t sue out of convenience but I always admire them for standing up for their rights. Even $15 is enough to sue because the federal minimum wage is $11 so that’s an hour of labor that was stolen. The judge is paid $8 million per year and the show is making millions so $500 to the people who’re “working” to sustain it is nothing for them
@@marleonetti7- I saw someone sue for the cost of a pizza slice in the Wapner days. And it didn't balloon into a $500 lawsuit, he actually sued for the cost of the slice, just as the plaintiff sued for the cost of her product (oh, I forgot $100 for aggravation, which she should know she wouldn't get). It's about the principle. I think the defendant is a scammer. First he never sent it at all, he ignored her calls until she made a dispute, then sent crap (clearly old, bought moss). He also lied in court and his own evidence showed that.
Today's grass is not your father's old-school Grass 😆😆😆 Jamaican gold 👍💯
That ain't no lie .. a little bit goes a long way these days
She's not doing the product any justice. It is grown in more places besides Jamaica. And you can consume it in many different ways, not just a gel or shake. It is great though. 10/10 recommend
It’s gross idk how ppl especially blk folks are able to take that fishiness! Taste like licking a fish right outta the sea🤢.
@ReaP JoY I take sea moss in either pill form or alone in powder form. For me, there aren't any noticeable cosmetic changes I can connect to taking it, but health benefits are there. My overall health has improved, they way I feel, I don't really get colds or the flu or anything, but I also take other supplements too, so it could be a combination of all of them.
Ma’am SEAMOSS is NOT only grown in Jamaica
Right basically any Caribbean island with salt water.
that's true, Sea moss tea is sold and made in many places. I don't like it but many in my family drink it.
@@islandgirll2650 EXACTLY ... smh
Well seaweed also grows more places then Canada 😂

Why is he recording in his shower?

I think with limited knowledge of seamoss the judge wouldn't be able to tell the quality.
If she waited two weeks to open it, then it may have deteriated during the two weeks sitting in the packaging.

SeA moss is found all over the Caribbean not just Jamaica y'all be acting like Jamaica has exclusivity on many things, most things you get in Jamaica u can get in ALL the other islands

He's doing bad business. Just give her a refund. His sample for the judge even had a crunchy sound
🤦🏾♀️🤣
But that is what seamoss looks like depending upon where u get it.
Right depending on where you get it! She gets hers from St Lucia she knows what it looks, tastes and feels like. His didn’t have any of the qualities of St Lucia sea moss. Was probably Irish seamoss. That’s from the Atlantic coast in Britain or could be from China like she said.
Dude is ridiculous. Treating customers like this he won't get anywhere in business. Nowhere good that is.
He should have just gave it back now his product quality is being questioned. I was interested in buying some moss but not from him based on this case.
I can send u some from Grenada🇬🇩
It's not everyone one is going to be fooled n except garbage for their money.in this case the defendant wasn't up to his ride.
I have never understood why any business tries to tell a dissatisfied customer that they have great customer service and blah blah blah- I admire her for asking why that matters on that phone call in evidence- she's got class. If the Defendant had good customer service skills he would have just refunded the money. Now, on tv, he and his company appear to be shysters.
Gotta love the title 😉
😅 right
Well I must say all the other toilet stall occupants around him were very kind not to make noise while he was on his phone. Well at least he was in the right place because his defense was flushed down the toilet 😂

Wish the judge would quit saying she doesn't get paid to do her job. The vast majority of her job is to listen to the BS, and for that she is handsomely compensated. She gets $8 Million a year and her net worth is $30+ Million. Looks like getting paid to listen to BS is a great paying job!
