Its such a shame it doesnt pick up ZIRCOMLNS
Its such a shame it doesnt pick up ZIRCONS
Eyes....best one....with 576 megapixle of resolution.
It is funny that people use machine to identify gems in West. Here in India If you go to jwellers and use this machine to identify gems...you will be in an awkward position....BTW good meachine for rookies
The clear stone in the ruby necklace you bought yourself could be spinel, topaz, or a white sapphire. Did you know that years ago spinels were so commonly used in fake jewelry, that many people, including my sister and I grew up believing they were fakes! Now they have come i to their own and are going up in price.
The closer the needle is to the end of the corresponding black line means its QUALITY STONES!! Each line is each type of gems threshold so that means lesser quality gems should read like half way or more towards the left and QUALITY STONES MAX OUT!!
I'm just learning gemology and recently purchased a few gemstones. This video was very helpful and i will look to purchase this or a similar product to help quickly check for fraudulent glass items.
Thank you Texas Gal your video was very beneficial. I had just received my new presidium in the mail but had no clue as what to do with it bc it came with very limited instructions. Now I can test all my stones and accurately price my jewelry for sale. YOU ARE SPECIAL, THANK YOU & GOD BLESS🤗
You are so fortunate to have inherited the emerald ring and the ruby ring (other video) from your grandmother. They are absolutely gorgeous - just my style - plus the sentimental value!!
Price how much is it?
Very informative video!!! I was familiar with both styles, but now I can tell them apart!!! 💞💞🥰💞💞
Thank you for the video. I've been waiting to see how you liked it. I just now ordered one for myself for Christmas!
I'm so glad I got it!
Where did you order this from
one of the best videos on CZcams. Very detailed and easy to understand.
Going to purchase one today and thought I would watch you. I have been in the business for a long time and never had one! Thanks
That's awesome 👍. You can also use diamond tester selector 2. I normally test Crystals, Diamond 💎 and Jadeite too.
That's beautiful . Just beautiful , thank you

I loved this video! I'm going to get one of those machines. Fun! Your grandmothers ring-WOW what a stunning piece with a huge emerald and all those diamonds!!!! Have you had that appraised? Keep it under lock and key!! Thanks Margaret for showing us this.
judedirect I haven’t. I just love it!
Margaret, this equipment is sensational !! I would love to have one like this. I know you will enjoy it, as it will help with identifying gemstones and listing jewelry with the added confidence of knowing precisely what a piece contains. Wow! Thanks for the demonstration. I hope you will have additional opportunities to use this again on your channel.
Take care, and keep on sharing.
Love your channel !
@@TexasGalTreasures you should that ring is worth a lot and should be insured the emerald alone is awesome plus all those diamonds it could be in the tens of thousands easy
LOVE IT,,,,I WANT TO GET ONE FOR MYSELF..
This is on my Christmas wish list.
NiffNiff Hooray, Sweet!!
So I just watched the second part tot the ring haul and as promised came to watch this video. Hey if the adapter comes with the tester then the over seas trip is ON!
LOL, Petersen!
This video is loads better, more fun and easier to follow than those so called parading as expert professional ones.
good choice
Bundle of thanks
Thanks for the video.
Ive tested hundreds of stones with one of the $10 diamond testers and compiled a list of what number they go up to on the scale with it set at 1, 1 being glass and 10 being diamond, my list does correspond to the scale on that tester, saph and ruby 8 to 9 for example. The test isnt perfect as with your device as it wont differentiate a lab grown stone and a genuine, its great to see if something is glass though, there is many more glass stones on the market then there is lab grown.
Great review I wanted to see how this worked I might just have to get one of those now. New sub for you too thanks
Hey sue mount, Thanks so much for watching!
I have my acid testing kit, magnet, and diamond tester from Amazon which has saved me a few times. I'd LOVE a unit like this though so I don't have to keep running up to our local gem shop to test what something is and feel guilty for not buying anything. Lol
I love it!!!
How much does this cost? I really need one!
cv
How much does it coat
~$250
I mean Emerald and Aqua are the same type of minerals just different coloration
Your nail polish is good 😄like a diamond
Iolite is the mantle rock for OLIVINE/PERIDOT! Also look at the metal gems are set in!! Usually the best stones are set in high quality gold and platinum, BUT ALOT OF OLD OLD OLD OLD JEWELRY IS SET IN THE OLD SILVER OR COPPER/BRONZE/LEAD/ WHATEVER ALLOY OF THE AREA IT WAS MADE IN!! YOULL find gem quality Muscovite and old style cut diamonds and other RARE RARE RARE GEMS in old ass jewelry!! Nice demo of this tester. I found a placier deposit. I have rough gemstones of every mineral!!! I believe I have a 30.1g/19.4dwt/150.5 carat diamond or clear garnet, or something super special!! Theres only a couple gems that do the optical phenomena that LORRAINE Does!! I'm tryin to save to get it tested!
I enjoyed the video thnx...
Got a cheep gemstone tester from Amazon (made in China) and it tested my water glass as nephrite jade and my real Maw sit sit jade as a diamond so I returned it.
Hello, has anyone tried this tester on any glass filled ruby? I have a suspect ruby but it is reading Ruby on my PGTII. Seems like if the ruby was composite or glass filled the reading would be off.
This was enjoyable
Thank you verry match
good machin for test ❤
Even though the tester was in the Topaz, Sapphire range, doesn’t mean it’s Topaz. There are a lot of jewelers that use White Sapphires. My concern is when it overlaps like that. Then there are other tests that must be performed to make sure they are natural, if they have been treated, or if they are specific stones.
What kind of tests would you recommend?
Ta vidéo est très instructive.
Tunck you very much.
Merci beaucoup
I just like your best video
The adapter you want sure about is for Korea Power outlets
I just received one of these for Christmas. I calibrated mine and did do some testing. Pleasantly surprised that some tested for being real stones.
My question is, when testing, do you just touch the needle to the stone or do you actually have to press it all the way down just like you have to when you calibrate? I did it both ways. With diamonds, it went all the way up, regardless. I could just touch it with the needle and it registered. Just want to make sure I'm doing it correctly. Thanks
Hi. Any idea if it tests as glass would that also be considered Cubic zirconia?
It is a bit confusing when it falls in 2 or 3 different lines.
Very knowledgeable video
Thanks a lot
Great video, really enjoyed. I be back and check the other videos.. I love stones. ❤
Good machine
It sure is!
12:05 is probably green chrysoprase, otherwise it wouldve shot-up to near nephrite and jadeite considering both are similarly conductive.
before identifying something immediately as the most "obvious" looking because it's luxurious or more expensive because it's "EMERALD OR JADE" because it's green, do search up color-names before the name of whatever the indicator is pointing to the closest, considering gems such as nephrite and jadeite are completely different varieties of minerals, as well as ruby and sapphire are different varieties of corundum, thermal and electrical conductivity of stones and the elements that make up the content of the stones is what's making the indicator on your device shoot up all the way to diamond when it's diamond and the others when it's around the others.
If it's not shooting up to jadeite or nephrite, it's not Jade. The same reason the device isn't shooting up as quickly when it goes to glass.
If you use a handheld device like one of those horrendously made but surprisingly accurate diamond selector devices that take 9v batteries, you'll even see how Jadeite and Nephrite will shoot up unbelievably quickly to high readings on the device. Such as right about where the ending of the black column that indicates nephrite, joins with the one that does with jadeite.
Also Chrysoprase which you can pronounce as 'Cry-so-praise' is basically just another form of chalcedony, which everyone basically knows as agate.
Thank you, Koodge!
@@TexasGalTreasures Mhm! Anything to help out. I'm alright at the stuff so I'd love to help people figure out more on it so they can use the information better to their advantage.
it still shows real gem even its made in lab with same property of original gem.
@Texas Gal Treasures how much did this tester cost you?
Does anybody know where alexandrite should register on the “presidium gem tester II” ?
Thanks kindly..
Superb video
Thank you, Ant Tv!
Imperial Jade is more of a color, the two types of Jade are Eastern Jade or Jadeite [more transparent/translucent], where Western jade is Nephrite Jade which is softer & Darker. Chrysoprase Is pronounced Cr-is-oprase not Cairoprase. I hope this heps.
Jim, Thank you so much!
Respected madam your review very nice thank you madam if the jem stone heated or treated if the meshine will give correct results are not please tell me thank you iam from india
Thanks 6ter..but have have same presidium but i dont too understand it can u enlight me better plz?

Dan Bowen, Thank you so much!
I havebeen wanting one of these, the other video you mentioned it and my husband caught me mooning over one on amazon and he is going to get it for my xmas gift lol it was so satisfying seeing you test this! lol loved it
Hey Rhyannon P, Thank you so much for watching!
Turquoise stone should falls into which category? 🤔
How to your tell between glass and quartz because they fall in the same line
hello, sorry me i am need thes presidium Gem Tester II (PGT II), how much in my coutery, i am Tanzania East Africa
Informative. Very straight forward with result and very nice!
That machine drives me crazy. Its a love hate relationship.they should come out with one where the lines dont intersect. And if you are told you have a diamond, but its moissonite, how do you know. I guess you have to purchase the tester for that too. But you did a great job . I know i would have decided on the same things you did when testing.take care.
Jadeite and Nephrite falls commonly as Jade. But Jadeite has valuable and rare.nephrite is common. but they are all come under Jade.
@8:38 it's white sapphire (low quality)
Does testing gems this way have your index finger smeared with nail polish, to get perfect results?!
I have a question ......Are you buying gems stone's? Rough or cut? I will appreciate if you can respond.
I need this machine
Where can I buy this
Nic mor thank you
Hey just got myself one tester but would you know what the C1 & C2 does?
how do i calibrate it?
TIA
Ruwini
I have a jem don't don't know wat kind
Hi,
Can it identify more than 50 carats rough diamond, please reply
I've had one of these for a few months now and it's great for some things, but the category I find difficult is rock crystal. I get no registration at all into the quartz range or even into glass. There are a lot of stones I have that I know are not plastic or glass that just don't register at all. Is anyone else finding this? It would seem that it should register into the quartz category.
hello, good day, you know, I have a tester like yours, I tried to calibrate but the point where the screwdriver is inserted does not bring anything, no, yes, if that one is calibrated differently, it is the one that has colors in its steps of each gem
I would like to know if this machine works with raw minerals, not jeweled work. Who can help me with the answer?
Hi does it works with pure diamon stone .
Did you Calibrate the tool first?
I have this same tester
Nice
Is this Presidium tester results based on hardness or gravity or both or something else ??
Madam, I want to get Presidium gems tester. Please tell me how can I get this? Waiting for your response. Thank you.
