- 6 REASONS FOR LOW STOMACH ACIDđŠâ
.â
1ïžâŁ Chronic stress (and past traumas) can keep ur body stuck in "fight or flight" mode which isn't conducive to "rest + digest"â
.â
2ïžâŁ H.pylori (a very common bacterial infection) has an enzyme that deactivates stomach acidâ
.â
3ïžâŁ Low nutrient status for certain minerals like chloride + zinc reduces acid productionâ
.â
4ïžâŁ Antiparietal antibodies attack the cells that make stomach acid (yes, this is an autoimmune situation that can be determined by blood testing thru ur doctor)â
.â
5ïžâŁ As we age, it's well known that stomach acid levels drop. This seems to impact adults 65+â
.â
6ïžâŁ If u constantly eat on the go rushing to get thru a meal, it's hard for ur body to be fully prepared to digest + absorb ur mealâ
.
And YES!!! Low stomach acid can absolutely be one of the reasons your skin is struggling đ
.â
Each of these reasons generally had different solutionsâ
â
While increasing mineral stores or adding in digestive bitters (or betaine HCl) could help one person, someone else might see no improvement (or feel worse đ€ź) with that particular solutionâ
.â
It certainly can't hurt to generally slow down, appreciate ur food đ + make sure to chew it (as u don't have teeth anywhere else in ur GI tract)â
.â
That's why I stress that knowing u have low stomach acid is just the first stepâ

She's pretty
I've been a VERY fast eater my whole life and symptoms became very apparent when I started bulking 2 years ago which requires eating more.
I have bloating and malabsorbtion, acne that I'm pretty confident is related to that because it really started within the month where I started bulking and skincare routines don't change anything, it's all from the inside.
I started chewing food and taking probiotics + enzymes 2 weeks ago with no significant improvement (maybe a little bit but it's mainly from the chewing food part).
I then did the low stomach acid at home test and turns out it's very low (I was pretty sure about that).
I started taking betaine HCL yesterday and so far nothing changed, I took 8 pills (650g/capsule) with my morning meal and haven't felt any burning sensation that I thought I would get. This is worrying.
Any update?
@@Knigh7z Betaine didn't change anything but my acne greatly reduced after I did all at the same time :
-Completely stopped pasta and bread which I used to consume in very large amounts (bulking)
-Stopped dairy, not completely but really reduced it
-eating properly, chewing food until it's mush (think that helped a lot with digestion)
-Only washing face with water and not the old overly drying cleanser (now went back to a normal cleanser, seems fine)
I think gluten and dairy are the culprits. During the past months I still had acne but small ones which are not annoying
A week ago I ate some cakes for a few days and got a few cysts but nothing severe.
Then 4 days ago I ate a huge pasta meal and felt bloated AF and had a breakout with big inflamed cysts.
@@dead5724 ah interesting. I have similar experiences so far finally chewing properly. Started on HCL just to see if it makes a diff.
any improvements does hcl help ?
Any update?
Hi need help any suggesting to creat stomarch acid. Need help .
Do you have any suggestions on how to fix low stomach acid I've been struggling with this and it's very irritating because anything I eat it doesn't digest well
I would highly suggest getting checked for h.pylori which I talk about in this article www.skinterrupt.com/h-pylori-diet/. Low mineral status can also reduce stomach acid as well as Antiparietal cell antibodies which your doctor can run with a blood test.
@@jenfugo whatever i eat my stomach hurts a lot and sometimes i vomit .i am getting skinny day by day .after blood test and x-ray Doctor said everything normal !
@@aklev5745 I'm really sorry that you are going through that. Can you see a nutritionist who might be able to help you? Doctors generally don't have much training in nutrition and perhaps a different perspective could be helpful since you aren't getting anywhere right now
@@jenfugo thank you so much for your advise đâ€
