Excellent work gentlemen, thank you. I do not know how widespread the feeling is, but a growing number of Americans are indeed starting to understand what it is like to live in a nation under the iron fist of a foreign military presence and violent repression. Yes, a foreign presence in the form of a weaponized Just-Us-System, militarized police enforcement and a growing surveillance state that every victim of J6 will attest to. I do not think that this year will end without all Americans realizing that. What goes around, comes atound!

Great Conversation! Thank you Larry and Dr. Kamrava for this exchange. While there is conversation, there is hope.
As a helpful side point, the use of M word should be treated like the use of N word for here.

    Fantastic interview Larry.
Wonderful and refreshing to hear a Persian point of view unfiltered through the lazy MSM narratives which become very tiresome and contraditory.

Can any country avoid war with the west? This is the actual question.
The west seems hell bent on not allowing other emerging powers to prosper and forge their own path to independence. The west colonialist mindset is still largely at play here just with different tools and means.

Thank you, Larry, for having this nuanced discussion-- what is really scary is realizing how tenacious the prevailing narrative in the US is, despite being completely divorced from reality. (I.e. Iran as the biggest sponsor of terror, Hamas and Hezbollah as irrational barbarians driven by baseless hate, the US and Israel as good guys protecting democracy...) The amount of influence, money, and control required to infiltrate and shape media, academia, and the halls of power to establish and reinforce these delusions for decades is terrifying-- especially after the 2nd world war, an incestuous alliance of disparate forces with similar and overlapping interests have managed to work in concert.. they all have a vested interest in preventing common sense from taking hold, and have managed to become very efficient at managing public sentiment and effectively shaping the 'truth' as most people know it. It sounds absurd and conspiratorial, and can't be adequately summed up in a CZcams comment, but those who have studied the rise and immense reach of secret intelligence services since WW2 will know. This is not to say the spies are controlling everything, but perhaps their greatest success has been their ability to remain largely in the shadows despite their meteoric rise and unprecedented infiltration of and influence on all aspects of society, both in the US and abroad...

The antagonism between U.S. and Iran is metaphysical: At the end of the day it comes to leisure time. In the United States this leisure time is spent in sports, playing with gadgets, technological innovation, car racing etc. In Iran the time is spent on poetry, religious and philosophical debate. American collective mental energy is applied to technique, Iran's is applied to being or none being of the highest value, i.e. existence of God. For this metaphysical disparity U.S. and Iran remain diametrically opposed to each other. The tertium comparationis is missing.

disappointing to hear an intelligent Iranian attributing the US obsession with Iran as entirely due to the US needing a new enemy after the fall of the Soviet Union. I am sure he knows the main reason-- the little Knesset on the Hill. I am also sure his position at that branch of Georgetown Univ bends his integrity

So this guy is Iranian but works in Qatar? It’s pretty clear then why he criticizes the Iranian for “doing everything to play the villain role”!! Lol 😂. Is he kidding? So, Iran is a villain even if they have tried to make political deals (e.g., JCPOA) with the US which the US violating every time? I think this Qatari agent is assuming only US vassal states prostituting their lands as US military basis to threaten Iran (like Qatar or UAE) are not villains? This guy seems like a full of shit mouthpiece working against his own country of origin!
