- Here's the Behind the Scenes for recording DreadUnit's lines for Security Breach! Diehard FNAF fans will know that the character in this one is not actually HandUnit, but DreadUnit! Crazy, right?
Andy Field is an American voice actor, known for his roles in the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise of video games and for helping frustrated law students navigate law school in America’s most popular law study guide, Quimbee.com.
He’s heard in commercials for Nike, Lowe’s, Homewood Suites, Wal-Mart, New York Life, Virgin Mobile, and more, and has voiced promos for the History Channel and Hotstar.

Its amazing to hear the usually robotic AI voice coming out of a human naturally. Like, thats not even a voice hes just putting on for the role. Thats his actual normal voice.

The fact that its just his natural voice amazes me, considering how robotic it sounds when recontextualized as an AI voice.
As the video continues, all those commandings of the animatronics to their recharge stations and animatronics leaving their green rooms and the warnings, the warnings of having staff or remaining people to leave... I wish we had some of these in the game.
I’m not going to lie, I always thought this was a voice filter but no, you’re just extremely talented! How did you get into voice acting for Scott and Steel Wool?
The voice acted have to email the creators to tell them they will take a role of a character and they would listen how you sound like

@@FennixGamingYTI believe there’s a website specifically for seeking out Voice actors, someone who’s looking for an actor would put up a notice, generally with some notes as to what they’re looking for in the role, and VAs can email them back saying they’re interested
It has been explained before that Scott posts job listings on websites saying things like "This voice should be a young child, sound eery, be vague in gender." And he leaves the job title vague as well, saying things like Vengeful Spirit, not an actual character name because he doesn't want to tip people off that it is for a Fnaf game.
Oh they picked him because his voice was a perfect fit. Sheesh.

I always liked fnaf since I met him, the truth is they make good games but that feeling of nostalgia with their music and that feeling that makes your hair stand on end their story mode in conclusion I love fnaf sorry for my spelling 😁

It's really interesting hearing all of the cut dialogue and the lines that did get in the final product.
Also, those different inflections for the public and staff messages are fantastic
Voice acting handy unit must be a cool part of the game process, since you are guiding the player.

Explains why moon chases Greggory and Freddy specifically! Also explains why all the power is routed to the charging stations as everyone has a set time to charge, so they probably need all the juice they can get to have them all ready to go.

@@AndyFieldVoiceActor nope. In fact, I don't think the others were even in the files as deleted voice lines, so they might be been taken out really early in development
Half of your lines were unused, infact, tons of stuff ingame was unused, tons of lore crap too, we've done a bit of datamining and the community can confirm this.
One line that you probably did later was the pizza delivery

I think the line should have been. " The support ticket has failed to be sent, please flee the building in a orderly line. Any and all damage to property while fleeing will be taken out your next paycheck.

It seems like a lot of them were tied to mechanics that were cut from the final release. A lot of the lines had to do with calling animatronics to their recharge stations and, I assume, an animatronic not being at their station during the hourly recharge. There was also something to do with a “retrieval unit” that would find the malfunctioning animatronic and bring it to its station, but could unintentionally kill a human if it mistook one for an animatronic. So maybe originally there was supposed to be something that would go out and try to retrieve freddy if he didnt make it to the recharge station in time, unintentionally killing Gregory in the process.

OH MY GOD I FOUND YOU, FINALLY (it's so weird to hear you talk normally when i know you from all the games)
First of all, seeing the guy behind this voice perform these lines is incredible! You've done great work, and while many of these lines were cut, the ones that made it in the game are stellar and the ones you've gratefully shown us here are incredible as well.
Second, I believe these lines hint at the game being much more based in real time early in development. "15 minutes till the hour..." "10 minutes..." "5..." All of these sound like the game would've alerted you in real time until it hit the hour in-game. It feels like The Daycare Attendant coming after you before the top of the hour in the game we got was all that remains of this mechanic/gameplay style. There's also the one about one animatronic not being in their recharge station and DreadUnit alerting Security to catch it. This one feels like you maybe been able to stay out of the recharge station on the hour, but Security increase, possibly constantly chasing you like Giga Monty. Overall, these voicelines gove a very interesting look into the development history of this game and what it could've been compared to the final product. Its absolutely fascinating
