I know this, and I'll clear what exactly happened to the phoenixes. Yes, Alice's mom got killed, but the she came back as the woman in the ashes. It took her way longer than for a normal phoenix to be reborn. As for the other phoenixes, they also got killed but also reborn. Some were captured and their powers were taken away by the omega's, some got brainwashed (you can see this in part 2) and others didn't have the courage to fight. I hope this is clear enough for you all.

That was kinda the point: the omega wolves were done being the lowest rank and wanted revenge (especially the one who killed Alice's mom)
