Jerry Lucey and Dan Spencer's fathers were 2 of the 6 brave firefighters who lost their lives during the 1999 fire. Jerry and Dan are now firefighters too.

I was a Shrewsbury, Ma. firefighter , near the end of my career when the Cold Storage fire happened, and I knew Jay Lyons. I retired two yers after the fire, and now, my grand daughter is in line for an appointment to the WFD. I am so proud of her.

I grew up on Oread street in Worcester in the 60's thru the 80's and as now these guys and Gals are Truly "The Salt of the Earth".
