Nice for john to explain the artwork and packaging to the world, its good to hear it from the horses mouth. i still have the single public image with the newspaper cover and red and white sew on patch, Also my fav album of all time is "Album" i have a t-shirt with the pil logo and "T-shirt" in large letters accross the chest. So now to buy this is pil. looking forward to it.
ps my sons first name is Lydon i named him after john. i hope he forgives me when he is a teenager.
Wanna keep mine intact still in the cellophane forever John...... gonna buy another one to try to get autographed in Wolverhampton.

I'm a first time subscriber but it looks like I'm 7 years to late according to the last comment, but better late than never I suppose 😊
I absolutely adore your representation of the album cover artwork in all its glory.
A very fine representation of your minds eye and I think that you have captured the atmosphere of when you were recording the album and simply looking at your artwork is a recreation of how you felt during the time of its creation, and I believe that by simply looking at it will take you instantly back in time.

to hear mr lydon speak so fluently about art brought a joy to my ears just as his music does. i urge mr lydon to possibly think about creating and publishing another book like his recent scrapbook (of which i am lucky to own edition number 44 and am proud as punch to have it on my shelf).
to have something similar but with mr lydon's artwork specifically linked to his fluent writings and speech would be a godsend to anyone interested. it would put to shame all those coffee table tomes of rubbish

This album is amazing, buy the double version with the dvd though, an amazing gig, will be seeing them myself in Brighton in august.

I love the second half of the album. They're a really hard listen first time round, but after that they're just amazing. Lollipop Opera, Reggie Song, The Room I Am In, they're all incredible, everything about them. The earlier tracks are fantastic too, of course, but nothing competes with the later ones.

my favourite track is lollipop opera pure just because of the upbeat rythm. and other tracks what i like are deeper water, one drop, i must be dreaming, reggie song and out of the woods. to be honest the whole album is really cool and chilled out but the delux edition is better because there is a live dvd of pil in heaven.... but the only tracks i'm not to fond of are this is pil and it said that........ its an album where you can light a spliff and be taken away :D
so did i. have been to a few and intend to do the rest till it aint possible.

Did i buy this LP because John Lydon cares about everyone? Nooo, that's his problem... i bought it because i love the music sincerity.
I have vowed to see PiL live until one of us can't make it any more.
My 2-disc version is different from the one Jon's showing here. It's not a regular digipack but made of very thick cardboard like a hardcover book and the booklet can't be taken out because it's glued to the inside of the cover. Are there 2 different versions of this release?
