Hi how does the message arrive the slack app from the slack server. is that also a webhook? or is that a normal api pollling?

That's also done with webhook- When you will create APP in Webhook and enable Interactivity, it will ask you to provide URL to send messages.

@@viasocket Noo i am sorry if i am confusing you.. ignore the outgoing message part. I am asking if there are two wehbooks involved in senting messages to my slack channel from a third party application.
To be very clear :
1. The third party application uses my slack channels webhook to send message
2. This message then arrives on the slack server.
3. Now how does the slack application running on my laptop IMMEdiately display this new message ? I am asking if thats also some webhook. Or the slack app keeps polling for new messages every second on the slack server?

Slack support both protocols to receive a message from any third-party app to slack.
it depends on how your third-party application is sending messages to your slack channel.
this is how slack notifications work:
1. you authorize an app to get notifications, that app installs in your slack workplace and keeps sending you slack alerts. (using APIs and your tokens)
2. You build an app that allows you to generate a webhook for every channel (It can be incoming or outgoing both. Slack call both protocol a webhook)
