Deja Vu is my first ATEEZ comeback, and it's also the first official comeback with 8 members since Mingi came back from his hiatus 😊 I've tried so hard not to scream when i first watching it, cause my mom and my aunt were around Lol. And in my opinion, this is Yeosang era, cause he really caught my attention and attacked me so freaking hard with his biceps and abs, he's definitely a Doberman not a Maltese anymore 😂 PS. This was a fun video to watch. When I saw this for the first time, I had a lot of 'open-mouth' moments, a lot of 'EXCUUUUUUUUSE MEEEE [insert member's name]' moments, Captain nearly murdered me during his rap, and Mingi's sharp inhale....gave me chicken skin. Ateez has a couple of other songs that has whisper-rapping *cough* TO THE BEAT *cough* STILL HERE *cough* THE LEADERS *cough cough* Next vid, Eternal Sunshine, is going to be a fun one too. I like that you don't know what you're going to get with Ateez. They can do so many genres, looks, and concepts that anything is up in the air. I'm a newcomer to your channel, just started diving in (from the very beginning!) a bit under a week ago and sticking to just ATEEZ (minus anything past Wanteez ep. 4 for now, will explain below) and Enhypen until I get to videos by other artists I'm interested in seeing reactions to... anyway... I didn't plan to comment AT ALL until I got to recent videos, but... you gals: "It can't be worse than Fireworks" (not me nearly spraying my monitor with tea, that definitely did not almost happen) ATEEZ: "Hold our drinks..." This was actually one of their first MVs I experienced ("Answer" was my very first, and I didn't see "Fireworks" until much later), and let me just say that I didn't make it through even the first bit for the first few times I tried to watch it. I'm 43 with a kid their age (my son is 16 days older than Captain, and my girls were born in '04 and '09), and it was a supremely strange thing to watch guys so young doing moves like those... I just couldn't with hip thrusts and body rolls, I guess, they truly made me cringe. I just got into Kpop back in November ('22, I know I'm late to the game, lol) so not only was I a baby fan, but I was an old(ish) lady who enjoyed the music but was having a really tough time with the visuals 😂 It wasn't ever even a sense of thinking they were "sexy" and feeling bad or guilty about it... it was more of a "omg, why are my kids doing that in front of me?!" because of my mental association of their ages to my son's age 🤭Anyway, thankfully I'm used to them enough by this point that they don't typically throw me off (they do test me, especially in live stages, but I'm okay, even if I'm not really okay 🤣) but I figured I'd share my funny early experience of trying to be a fan but not knowing how on earth to process what they were doing. My husband makes fun of me, but it's okay because I'm happy. That said, I've really been enjoying your reactions so far as I work through the history, so I've subbed and will continue to watch through things (trying to remember to like the videos, too)... I binge when possible to get me through faster (lol) because I'm looking forward to not only specific songs but also the newer content that I see when I start scrolling down your video catalog. As for Wanteez, I have a reactor friend who recently started doing those and I'm experiencing my first-time reactions alongside hers, and so far we've gotten through ep. 4... so as hers go up, I will watch both hers and yours. 🥰

I really love each comeback because they're all so really different. After Thanxx, I was wondering what they were going to do. But they went HARDER than Thanxx with Fireworks. Like, how do you even go harder than Thanxx? But they did. So I'm thinking for their next comeback... either they go EVEN HARDER than Fireworks or they have to go completely different. That's how you essentially top your previous release right? LIKE HELLO, DEJA VU?! Honestly I was curious if they would do an even remotely sexy concept. But they did, but they did it in such an ATEEZ style. I love the concept of Deja Vu. LOL your title for your first watch section (& our deaths) XD The way Tori was so shocked when Bri asked to rewind all the way to the beginning LOL. Seonghwa's slide for the Vu in Deja Vu right before the chorus is exceptional. Aw, I agree, Jongho's hair part in this is really nice. Such a good decision. When. It switched to Hongjoong's part. That was so epic. In the previews it didn't reveal his rap. They did reveal the scene. But wow. Such an epic transition. And Seonghwa's ponytail. EVERYONES BIKER OUTFITS. THEIR BEST FITS EVER. Also Mingi breathing- absolutely rude. That's no no. And THEN WHISPERING?! Mhmm yes, Yeosang body chain. San needs to calm down with those hips. They have such catchy choruses all the time. Even before listening to any of their songs in full, I heard a few of the choruses to their songs. And that's why I checked them out. I think I heard HALA HALA, Illusion, Say My Name, Wave. Those choruses made me want to check out ATEEZ. Oh, its funny how Bri was talking about everyone doing the hip choreo. I was watching a dance reactor and they said something similar. How, its a pretty sexy concept and most choreo will highlight one or a few people to do the sexy point of the choreo, so that its highlighted. But literally the sexy choreo is done by everyone IN THE CHORUS. So it's really quite effective. I have heard the callback to the tvs is for Say My Name, cant remember how it ties in. There was a butterfly in Answer too! Thought that was interesting. I have also heard that the "sewer" looks a lot like the museum background of Say My Name (another callback to that mv). I saw a comment here saying that its HJ. It is, but I'm still not sure about everyone's roles. And of course, everything in an ATEEZ mv (and the whole story line lets be honest) is thought out in so much detail, so yes, there is a reason why it's Yeosang. Can't wait until you read the diary entries that come with their Diary version albums. I mean SEONGHWA WA S LITERALLY NAKED sdljfskjfl. THAT WAS THE BEST OUTFIT I HAD EVER SEEN. I think you might have seen it in the long guide? You saw it somewhere I think... I can't remember anymore. AND ALSO YEOSANG. I think this song especially has great multi faceted lyrics. The way that it describes their lore, BUT also the lyrics CAN be used to describe the longing for someone/something/some concept. Bri is right: a masterpiece. I can't wait for Eternal Sunshine! The difference between those two songs is so funny. And how they're literally on the same album. And I know we aren't there quite yet, but Bri will definitely need tissues for Turbulence. Like, the easiest way to make me cry is when I see someone else cry (I think Bri said something similar?). No english translation (in captions/subtitles) has ever made me cry... until Turbulence. I watched it the first time and I legit cried. Actually it was mostly because of the vocals and emotions, but after adding the lyrics, I was like cry crying. Not just tearing up. I think I went through 4 tissues. And then after that is The Real. Which is my second favorite MV of theirs. After each comeback I always wonder how they will top it, but they do and I"m like, I'm not surprised. But also I am, because how? I didn't talk too much about the story line this time. Deja Vu is my first ATEEZ comeback, and it's also the first official comeback with 8 members since Mingi came back from his hiatus 😊 I've tried so hard not to scream when i first watching it, cause my mom and my aunt were around Lol. And in my opinion, this is Yeosang era, cause he really caught my attention and attacked me so freaking hard with his biceps and abs, he's definitely a Doberman not a Maltese anymore 😂

I'm a newcomer to your channel, just started diving in (from the very beginning!) a bit under a week ago and sticking to just ATEEZ (minus anything past Wanteez ep. 4 for now, will explain below) and Enhypen until I get to videos by other artists I'm interested in seeing reactions to... anyway... I didn't plan to comment AT ALL until I got to recent videos, but...

This was actually one of their first MVs I experienced ("Answer" was my very first, and I didn't see "Fireworks" until much later), and let me just say that I didn't make it through even the first bit for the first few times I tried to watch it. I'm 43 with a kid their age (my son is 16 days older than Captain, and my girls were born in '04 and '09), and it was a supremely strange thing to watch guys so young doing moves like those... I just couldn't with hip thrusts and body rolls, I guess, they truly made me cringe. I just got into Kpop back in November ('22, I know I'm late to the game, lol) so not only was I a baby fan, but I was an old(ish) lady who enjoyed the music but was having a really tough time with the visuals 😂 It wasn't ever even a sense of thinking they were "sexy" and feeling bad or guilty about it... it was more of a "omg, why are my kids doing that in front of me?!" because of my mental association of their ages to my son's age 🤭Anyway, thankfully I'm used to them enough by this point that they don't typically throw me off (they do test me, especially in live stages, but I'm okay, even if I'm not really okay 🤣) but I figured I'd share my funny early experience of trying to be a fan but not knowing how on earth to process what they were doing. My husband makes fun of me, but it's okay because I'm happy.
That said, I've really been enjoying your reactions so far as I work through the history, so I've subbed and will continue to watch through things (trying to remember to like the videos, too)... I binge when possible to get me through faster (lol) because I'm looking forward to not only specific songs but also the newer content that I see when I start scrolling down your video catalog.
As for Wanteez, I have a reactor friend who recently started doing those and I'm experiencing my first-time reactions alongside hers, and so far we've gotten through ep. 4... so as hers go up, I will watch both hers and yours. 🥰

I really love each comeback because they're all so really different. After Thanxx, I was wondering what they were going to do. But they went HARDER than Thanxx with Fireworks. They have such catchy choruses all the time. Even before listening to any of their songs in full, I heard a few of the choruses to their songs. And that's why I checked them out. I think I heard HALA HALA, Illusion, Say My Name, Wave. Those choruses made me want to check out ATEEZ.
Oh, its funny how Bri was talking about everyone doing the hip choreo. I was watching a dance reactor and they said something similar. How, its a pretty sexy concept and most choreo will highlight one or a few people to do the sexy point of the choreo, so that its highlighted. But literally the sexy choreo is done by everyone IN THE CHORUS. So it's really quite effective.
I have heard the callback to the tvs is for Say My Name, cant remember how it ties in. There was a butterfly in Answer too! Thought that was interesting. I have also heard that the "sewer" looks a lot like the museum background of Say My Name (another callback to that mv). I saw a comment here saying that its HJ. It is, but I'm still not sure about everyone's roles. And of course, everything in an ATEEZ mv (and the whole story line lets be honest) is thought out in so much detail, so yes, there is a reason why it's Yeosang. Can't wait until you read the diary entries that come with their Diary version albums.

I think this song especially has great multi faceted lyrics. The way that it describes their lore, BUT also the lyrics CAN be used to describe the longing for someone/something/some concept. Bri is right: a masterpiece.

And I know we aren't there quite yet, but Bri will definitely need tissues for Turbulence. Like, the easiest way to make me cry is when I see someone else cry (I think Bri said something similar?). No english translation (in captions/subtitles) has ever made me cry... until Turbulence. I watched it the first time and I legit cried. Actually it was mostly because of the vocals and emotions, but after adding the lyrics, I was like cry crying. Not just tearing up. I think I went through 4 tissues. And then after that is The Real. Which is my second favorite MV of theirs. After each comeback I always wonder how they will top it, but they do and I"m like, I'm not surprised. But also I am, because how? I didn't talk too much about the story line this time. Just know the questions and your opinions and thoughts were all very good and on the right track. There's a lot of stuff that hasn't been explained anywhere yet but Yeosang and the broken Cromer are a big plot point so you'll find the context for it in the Diary versions of the albums (you can read them on atiny dot net). I personally think that the other hand is Hongjoong's, he wore a suit like that on the roof.
Plot chronology-wise, after this album comes Say My Name (it seems that Turbulence and The Real are both side stories, Turbulence fits somewhere next to the Dary Film in terms of the theme and The Real is a vintage high school anime AU, then there's Don't Stop that IMHO is somewhere on the timeline with other Halateez's adventures from their Kingdom stages).
