- Hey everyone!! In this video, I wanted to show you all a once in a lifetime experience at one of the most prestigious ballroom dance competitions in the entire world, the Blackpool Festival. Becoming " 2 Times British Open To The World Champion" was indeed one of the craziest things of my life! Just being there overall was such an awesome experience! As you watch along in this video you will see what it was like to be, feel, and dance there. Thank you!!
Just some more info :)
1. There are almost always about 200 dance couples that enter this event each year!!
2. This competition is located in Blackpool, England.
3. This year was our second time winning ( this is why I am so nervous while waiting for the results).
4. We are one of the few couples from the U.S.A that attended this event.
5. The reason why I keep looking at the trophy is because on it there are names of all the past winners of this event from years like 1990!
6. My partner is crying from happiness, not sadness😂
7. I might get copyrighted for this because you are not supposed to film the dancing in the ballroom due to music copyright😬

It may be an internationally open competition, but Blackpool is not the olympics where you are representing your country. The loud chanting of USA USA USA from your corner of the ballroom I doubt made the USA more popular at the event. Ever heard of humble in victory? Having said that, you danced beautifully. Truly delicious to watch.

I was in Blackpool ( winter Garden ) at The Blackpool Dance Festival ( whe i was 20 years old and now i am 62 years old ). A long time but love latin and modern dance for all my life. Good chance for your future Daniel and Mishella, you are good dancers. iF YOU HAVE THE NAME OF THIS CHA-CHA, i will appreciate if you can give me the title and the name of the orchestra .
