"You're gonna sleep better"
"Why? Because we don't have any energy?"
Afsana II
"It's called 'lightly dying'" XD
truth. I tried losing a bit of weight (eating more fish, chicken, eggs; very little cheese or bread or peanut butter) and would get tired all the time. So tired matter a fact that I didn't even feel like eating despite being hungry.
Because you need carbs for energy! Carbs aren't as bad as everyone thinks they are :/
Dudes, don’t cut out carbs; just incorporate whole grains instead of processed, like white bread or cakes or something. Whole grains like wheat and oats are really good for energy.
Youre not supposed to eat whatever u want on day 31. You’re supposed to slowly introduce each food group to your body again
@Sarah Hamilton pretty kinda like a hangover
miiiaddiie yup, exactly. That was really not smart
Thank you.
Anyone who has done this diet would understand that this comment is so unreasonable
Yes
Its really hard for them because they have so much junk food in their work area
Kimberly Balgoa they should have whole fruits and vegetables instead of junk food.
@@MiamiPush2theLimit both is fine, it's fine in moderation and it's food that helps them work and feel satisfied
Everyday their was candy and cake in the workplace, what the diddly
@@sxpreme-2960 but it's not in moderation for them it all the time
I know they get a lot of food from the tasty crew
It’s amazing how often everyone goes out. My boyfriend and I are in our 20s and we cook dinner practically every night unless it’s a date night.
David Valenzuela I cant afford to go out every night. Whoever does that has money. 🙄
@David Valenzuela What? It's way cheaper to eat at home.
David Valenzuela where from america?
@David Valenzuela Where do you live? In a food desert? Eating out costs like, $10-$20 a person where I’m from. I can make a couple meals with that amount.
Yea, I cook food at home too. It's just cheaper.
1kg of chicken (already butchered) is about Rp 23000-35000 (2-3 USD). Add the cost of seasonings, flour, vegetable oil... maybe around Rp 30000-40000 (3-4 USD) with some leftovers.
Compare this to eat out, 1 piece of decent fried chicken is Rp 7000-15000 (0,5-1 USD).
I love how they blur out the middle finger like we don't know what's going on 😂
Benjamin Jacobs right ?😂😂not like we're gonna wonder " holy crap IS THAT A GIRAFFE BEHIND THE BLUR ? "

XProGamer5026 XD yup 😂😂
Benjamin Jacobs duh they don't want to be demonetized
"Different diets are for different people. I wish I could say I feel better, but I don't." SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT.
NOPE.
Felicia Hollsten we all need the same kinds of nutrients, but we each need different amounts
She did said '100% better'. So that implies that she did feel a little bit better, but it wasn't helpful?
if you do educate yourself you will find a better and easy answer. cause what you did right there is justifying yourself by someone else wrong opinion
Masabthach James English?
I just realized that not one of the particapants were straight😂
Surprise they all aren't straight
How did you measure that?#stopassuming
@Sarah Hamilton this comment says so much about you lmao
Antara Ballal Someone said “#stopassuming” so she was just telling them that no one is assuming they’re gay... they’re all openly gay. It’s really not that hard to scroll up and read previous comments...
@Sarah Hamilton nobody said it was unfair... They just stated a fact its not that deep chill
Watching buzzfeed food challenge videos makes me feel like I have the willpower of a GOD by comparison.
They make the littles changes seem like monumental challenges😂

yeah thats what i thought :\

Maren Anderson It also said she's from "Goodful" and that's where he also got his salmon recipe from that they made sure to spend a few minutes on ($$$)
Maren Anderson my thoughts exactly!!!
Nice little save there Maren. You can go back to stuffing your face with junk food and not feel guilty!
"We got advice from a fan of the diet."

Better than "advice from a person who saw the diet from a bus window once", I guess?
Only barely though...

@Regan LeRoy Why?
@Regan LeRoy Oh no! That sounds bad. At least this diet helped you figure out some things though. Stay safe. :)

The problem with these challenges is that they have so much processed foods at their work place

My only thought when he said that was, I hope anything coming out of the oven is dead at that point.
I did the Whole30 and I've never been the same! I lost so much weight and learned so many new recipies.
How much weight ? Did u just do one set of 30 days?
I really want to try this!
I love whole 30. I lost 17 pounds in one month and I had never felt better.
Really I think it's better than all the fat keto diet is. Did you stay on it for 30 days.
I loved it too! I have been able to reset my body while on the diet, and eat more healthy amounts of food instead of gorging myself. I lost 13 lbs within 45-50 days (I did the reintroduction which they didn't do in this video.)
They didn't do reintroduction, which kind of defeats the purpose of the Whole30 - when you bring all the foods back at once you have no way of knowing what the culprit is if it affects your body in a particular way. Going through the 30 days and skipping reintroduction is a waste.
Literally was thinking that exact thing.
Totally. They skipped all the actual education about food that comes with whole30 that is a big motivation to not cheat during. Plus they just binged after the 30 days which is the complete opposite of the entire plan. Just a waste of a video.
Soulless Raven But they didn't kick it to the curb, they went back to eating like they were before the Whole30 and they felt like crap. That could have been avoided if they had followed the program as intended.
This comment needs to be bumped up. They're just treating it like a diet and missing the point.
To me what makes it worse is that none of them really seemed to understand the true medical intentions of the diet, my dietitian put me on an exclusion diet for 2 weeks due to health issues and told me that it's purely being done to help figure out what food/s make me ill... From my experience I don't think diets like this should be done 'just because' since you do lose a fair amount of weight and it can be bad for your health to just drop weight quickly. Also the comment on feeling crap after is exactly why they put in a reintroduction programme for the diet since your body gets used to not having all the processed crap in it so it's a shock to the system and your body doesn't know how to react to it properly.
Lmao at how they blurred the middle finger
Fiji Apples
Ahaha
Ikr? What did they achieve by blurring it that way? The flip did they hide?
I couldn't even tell it was a middle finger with how well it was blurred!! /sarcasm
Fiji Apples iiii
Fiji Apples What middle finger?
Yank logic. Middle fingers are unacceptable but school shootings are encouraged.
Wouldn't it be a good idea to maybe give some information about what this diet is?
imakefoodhappen www.whole30.com
The whole30 is a 30 day lifestyle change where you cannot consume Carbs, Dairy, Sugar, Legumes, etc etc. I've done it before and it does change alot about yourself and you figure out what is making you so grumpy or tired.
Fiorella V. I don’t get it though, they were eating potatoes and fruit which is carbs and sugar. In the opening piece they said no natural sugar either
They never said no natural sugar. They said real sugar, as in the sugar you would use in baking. Therefore fruits are allowed. The main problem with white potatoes, as the Whole30 team saw it, was less about what potatoes are than about the way potatoes are so often served - namely, in the form of chips and french fries. So you can still enjoy your potatoes, but not in the fatty ways they are usually served.
Fiorella V.
Why are legumes not allowed?
"It will last me 2-3 meals"
That'd last me 1 meal and I'd still be hungry afterwards lol
Whole 30 is not actually meant to be a diet your supposed to slowly reintroduce certain foods after 30 days to see what is negatively affecting your body. In fact creators of the program specifically say its not meant to be a diet just in case anyone is wondering.
Brit Brats Corner Reintroduction is how I learned about my dairy and gluten sensitivity. I felt like absolute garbage.

She can donate money wherever she wants. No one is making her.
For me it was seeing that sugar was in EVERYTHING. I think the issue with Whole30 in the beginning is kicking the sugar. Annd you guys did it wrong lol...you're supposed to reintroduce foods slowly and by item and not at the same time to see how they react to your body. The whole point of Whole30 is to reduce inflammation...that's why they cut out the food items they do, they are generally the most likely to cause digestion and inflammation.
Meat causes so much inflammation tho? Why did they cut out legumes and not meat. Legumes are one of the healthiest foods in the world
Tan's hair on day 7 said it all.
And how sweet of her to donate her savings. I like her.

it annoys me how no one's talking about how we're obviously all addicted to bad foods and that's really important because we all know how difficult it is to get over addictions and how long it takes
yes. i agree. it's good people are waking up.
i used to be so very addicted to sugar. candy, chocolate, ice cream. was so bad that i really felt it was an addiction. i googled how to kick it, i bought a sugar free cook book, i cleansed, i tried many things....
eventually the only thing that fixed my addiction was going vegan. even tho my transition took a year, and some things were easy to stop craving and others were more difficult, that was the best decision i ever made.
i believe that having others outside yourself as a reason for getting rid of bad foods is more of a motivation than just answering to yourself
Grace Mina Sunda sugar is so terrifyingly addictive
It's extremely hard but I've overcome my addiction to sugar and I'm so proud of myself. Intermittent fasting helps a lot with it xx
Well done guys so inspirational! Yeah crazy hard when it's so easy to just go and grab something unhealthy and no one stops us or questions us. Vegan 100% is one of the best ways and if we treat it more as a way to get over addictions to certain foods people would have more respect for how hard it is and why it takes so much work to accomplish :)
Jennifer♥ intermittent fasting is great! So glad you've found something that works for you
I live how they always blur the middle finger, like no, I have no idea what that is! Maybe it’s a hotdog!

I tried this. I lost 10 lbs and me hardcore dad lost 30. Bruh
Grace Chatham thank you for sharing that! I was wondering, nobody in the video discussed weight loss!
bruh
Are you sure you ate enough? I personally lost 20
Pounds my first round, but I was intentionally working out intensely and counting calories. The other times I’ve only lost like 3-5 pounds. No shade, just curious. It’s super important to eat enough, and it’s sometimes more food than you think. I know I would eat like 5 different veggies for lunch and be in a calorie deficit and I was struggling to finish my meals Bc it was so nutrient dense especially at the beginning.
A diet that advocates eggs, meat, and oil but not beans or grains... How tf am I supposed to take this diet seriously?
Pretch
true
utpawn there is a well known diet named Paleo. It cuts the whole grains as well
Eggs and meat are absolutely healthy, you have no idea what you’re talking about
BaldManLogan eggs aren't very healthy
LOL!!! Blurring just the finger doesn't stop us from knowing what they are doing!!!
To be honest, I think this is a really good showcase of what processed food and sugar tends to do to your brain. Thinking about nothing but candy and sugar and processed junk when you can't have them shows that these things are physically and mentally addictive in a terrible way.
Does anyone else get really annoyed by these videos where people try a new diet and complain about everything the whole time? Like, you’re eating healthy, you’re fueling your body efficiently, you can afford to do so, you live in a community where it is accepted, and there are a lot of options available..... why do you have to complain about not having pizza and donuts? The reason none of these diets work out for these people in the long run is because they are so pessimistic about it.
Michele Jurkovic no because they're being honest about how the diet makes them feel. Rather than sugar coating it and indoctrinating people who probably can't afford it to do it because "it feels so good and you're terrible if you dont do it!", they are showing you the reality of what its going to be like.
or they actually don't like it and they're being honest.
I totally agree
yea, they're so fucking whiny
I was just going to post a comment about that when I saw yours. These people go into these challenges expecting to be miserable instead of giving it a fair chance. Watching this video out of context with just the reactions of the participants, you would expect something horrible to be happening to them, instead, they miss donuts and chocolate. Give me a break.

watching other people dieting while eating junk food. Who else?
I ate a chicken burger, a double cheeseburger and fries while watching this
+ShroomWalrus that's at least 1,200 calories...
1,470 to be exact (i checked off the restaurants website)
ShroomWalrus why would you do that to yourself
unless you have a binge eating disorder
Cause I don't care about my health?
I feel like one of the reasons it’s so hard for normal, everyday Americans do these challenges is because we’ve become so accustomed to the lifestyle of where it’s easy to be unhealthy and get fast foods, chips, and candy in the convenience store down the block.
I think this is why we have a high obese rate unlike Asia.
In Asia, you don’t walk into a 7-11 and immediately see sweet snacks. You see actual food (that might be frozen). You see food chain stores but you see even more healthy, authentic restaurants. In Asia, it’s easier to make a healthy choice.
watching these videos make me glad that I grew up in a strict Chinese household. My mum never allow us to buy and have packaged food/canned good/snacks/soda at home growing up. And as a typical Chinese family, my mum will visit the wet market for fresh ingredients everyday and cook for us everyday. I am so glad that I never have much cravings to struggle. Even though I am an adult now, and I can totally buy my own grocery, I still feel kinda “bad” or “guilty” if I bring cookies/ice cream home? Can someone out there relate to this lol?
Lol me

@henry latschislaw: And...? So what?
Wtf is wrong with rice and legumes?? They are WHOLE FOODS, not like oil they all used on everything lmao
Lucy Lester So true
Lucy Lester the point of a whole thirty is that it eliminates several common food allergens (soy, dairy, peanuts) and refocuses on vegetables and fruits instead of grains. They skipped the most important part of a whole thirty: reintroducing the restricted foods slowly so you can identify what makes you feel so blah all the time. You aren't meant to stay on it forever and many people keep at least some grains after they reintroduce them. I have ibs and testing with straight lactose had shown that in theory I'm fine with dairy. Whole30 showed me that in reality, I just can't drink milk.
Rice and legumes are bad for the gut and are inflammatory. Olive oil is a healthy fat so it's acceptable. it's a "the more you know" moment for you. Enjoy.
Lucy Lester rice and legumes turn into sugar when they process through your body and can make you fat
Anna Breon finally someone who understands whole30
I did the Whole30 once, and honestly I felt frickin' amazing. I might do it again soon.

People amazed by the colors in their shopping cart make me wonder what the hell do people eat in the US. My shopping cart is a freaking rainbow and I'm an omnivore, I don't exclude anything from my diet, everything in moderation. Except tomatoes. I could live off tomatoes. I love tomatoes.
GeekyEleanor me too!!🍅🍅🍅
The staple of my summer diet. Sometimes I think I'm the weird one, when I was a teenager and I was forced to skip lunch because of school hours, I would often come home at weird hours and eat the leftover broccoli as if they were chips, while I was studying.
A lot of Americans don't have enough money to get healthy foods. Healthy food tends to cost a lot of money. I would love to eat more healthy but the healthy food costs so much and it tends to be much cheaper to get unhealthy food than healthy
Micky Love funny because we're the richest nation yet can't afford veggies and fruit.
Tomatoes are gross
TOO. MANY. EGGS
Edit: thanks for the likes and comments. I simply meant that people doing the whole thirty just get sick of eating eggs all the time, not that it’s unhealthy in any way. Eggs are very healthy.

it's funny because I stopped eating refined sugar 6 months ago and after less than one week I was like '' cured '' form sugar. I didn't want to eat sugar anymore, or very rarely. My tongue also became a '' sugar detector '' and I was able to detect all the sugar in food that I would't taste before. After 6 months my body feels great and except for rare occasions, I don't eat sugar anymore. I eat a lot of fruits but you know, it's natural sugar. Also limited my carbs consumption and I drink a least 2 water liter everyday :)
Lisa Messikommer thanks for this , I'll try it too
how did you start it? can you share a bit of experience with me? 'cause i also wanna leave sugar but I'm too addicted to it..
Hi ! well, i never ate a lot of sugar so it was pretty easy for me. I also stopped drinking sodas 8 years ago, when I was 15 yo. I spoke with my brother who knows a lot about diet and he told me, among other things, that nowadays we all eat too much sugar (if you read the food composition on what you buy you'll see! sugar is everywhere, it's crazy). I'm not a professional, but maybe if you want to reduce your sugar consumption, try to reduce little things step by step. 2 cookies not 4, black chocolate instead of milk one. Drink water or fresh juice (not fruit juice from store, they are full of sugar). You have to find what fits you! I allow myself sometimes some cookies just because i want to! you should never deprive yourself from food you want. I really think that balance is the key. Being frustrated about our diet is the best way to eat wrong. What helped me when i started, was not having some temptation at home. I knew that if I had a box of cookies, I would eat it in once. So maybe try to remplace your '' temptation food '' with fruits or less sugar alternatives! I hope I helped you a little bit! take care and don't forget to drink enough water, its essential for your body health :)
Sugar in fruit is still sugar. Fruit just happens to be the healthiest way to consume sugar, but chemically, a fruit's sugar is basically the same as your table sugar.
Raymond yea but at least you can say you consumed nutrients as well not just sugar and other preservatives. Two wrongs don't make a right its about the balance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’d like to see more. The participants were fabulous!
Jazz deserves more credit for trying all of these different diets despite her past eating disorder(s) I still get super overwhelmed if my diet is jarred too much

So dairy isn't allowed, but they made ghee from butter? Butter is a dairy product right? Am I missing something?
utensil09 Ghee is clarified butter. The "milk solids" of the butter is removed, leaving just fat. So it's shelf stable, and technically isn't dairy.
what fucking brand help me i need to freakin know
thats called margarine
I make my own ghee from butter all the time and it's not a dairy product once you pull out the milk solids. Milk = Dairy...No Milk = No Dairy.
MissTigger357 There's no such thing as plant based butter. Vegan butter is just canola and soybean oil. It's healthier to eat real butter. Vegetable and soybean oil cause inflammation
“it’s called lightly dying” Bryana a looked so offended when jazz said that it was so funny 😂

I dont see the point of bluring the hand if u r just going to blur only the finger 0:14 btw the finger can still be seen very clearly nontheless...
kim tae jeong Hear hear. Is it a knife? Is it a pen?
No, its a fucking finger.
boastfuls How is blurring a joke?
The idea of excluding whole grains and, even worse, legumes and instead eating a bunch of purified butter, white potatoes and about 10 eggs a day and thinking that's healthy is so weird
I agree with what you said about the eggs and butter, but white potatoes are good for you. Not as much as sweet potatoes though.
White potatoes are basically handled by your body as refined carbs are. They don't do much for you, don't have a ton of nutrients most people are lacking, spike your blood sugar, etc. ... They are okay, but whole grains and legumes or sweet potatoes are a lot better.
If you're only eating those three things, then you're doing it wrong.
this is what the "misfits" group in high school look like lmao
more of these please!! great video
The Whole30 diet actually tells your body that it doesn't need dairy, sugar or gluten anymore, so it tells the body to stop producing the enzymes that help break those foods down.. my mom did this diet and she now has an intolerance to gluten, and slight intolerances to sugar and dairy. She gets headaches when she eats sugar. (My sister's college nutrition class taught her this)
Chiara Dusanek that’s very helpful!!! I will never try it. I already can’t eat dairy and if I couldn’t have gluten or sugar, I would die
That sounds like it’s hurting you more than helping you
yeah I did back to back whole 30s, and after 60 days I ate a few pieces of candy and felt SO SICK. But that's actually sort of good...made me hate candy for a while
Chiara Dusanek yes! i see an RD who has done extensive studies and she taught me that all foods have a place in life🍬🥗
Well, with whole30 you still eat sugar (fruits) so your statement is not true. Body do not stop producing anything entirely just after 30 days. This sort of diet is healthy for you, because your body naturally do not need milk or fake sugars at all. As an European (and with a few intolerances (dairy, gluten, citrus etc.)) I eat similarly every day, and my partner does as well, although he can eat everything. His health, blood and energy levels increased due to healthy diet, and ditching sugars and dairy or gluten, will definitely not make you worse.
technically.... potatoes are on whole30...
Tan is so fecking adorable and cool at the same time, and it's just the best thing ever.
True Aussie right there- “I’m gonna go have a beer... and a tequila shot 🍺 “ 😂 🇦🇺
I did whole 30. Loved the salmon cucumber dill recipe, found some different ways to cook things, etc. However, I didn't find it was cheaper at all. Produce can be quite expensive, and my grocery bill went way up. Also, I found I spent so much of my day cooking food.
I was glad it was a 30 day challenge, because the whole thing was really not sustainable. I did learn a little along the way.
It really sucked for unavoidable food related events, such as a wedding, etc., and the only thing you can eat is the salad, no dressing 😒
Allyson Wheeler did you lose any weight?
Patrice Campbell short term? I lost a little. Long term? I put it back and more 😂
Allyson Wheeler lol thnx!
how about adjusting the recipes to fit whats cheap in your area?Like choosing veggies that are in season
It was cheaper for them because buzzfeed paid for their food! Organic produce is incredibly expensive
