- Today I take you on a walking tour through Miraflores! I have been on many tours of Miraflores and also watched video on Miraflores. BY FAR, this is the best tour you will ever see! This tour has EVERYTHING you need to know and see when visiting Miraflores in Peru.
[The Tour]
We start at the main Miraflores Roundabout! We start at Miraflores Central Park and head towards Parroquia La Virgen Milagrosa (The Catholic Church). Have a quick bite at Bembos for the Fast Food, then towards Parque John F. Kennedy to see some cats.
We then say hi to The Chess Hustlers of Lima before seeing some ancient ruins at Huaca Pucllana with a Llamas bonus feature! We then walk down Berlin Street to see some bars, and then take a look at some Restaurants and Street Food. I talk a little about the Casinos here and show you the The Best Place in Miraflores (Noriplay)!
We then take a look at a local supermarket called: Metro, before Shopping for Souvenirs at Inka Market and the Indian Market. We have a little look at CompuPalace for Electronics and Video Games. We then head towards the ocean and see the Beach and Cliffside Views. Our last stop is Larcomar! WHere we have a little look around and finish the tour at a Peruvian Restaurant called MANGOES where we try some Peruvian Ceviche!
Join me on an adventure!

01:10:20 Update: Personal opinion, I no longer recommend MANGOES (or their sister restaurant upstairs)
It's not uncommon for employees to work 55-60 hour work weeks and have to sleep in the kitchen/restaurant due to living so far away. They charge tourist rates for food, but pay their staff very poorly.
I don't think is fair, and for that reason, I don't recommend enabling this behavior.
Ya me suscribí
You take my dog and we have serious problem🤬
Soooo I actually have 2 for adoption you can take them! lol
Great virtual tour! This nice video makes me feel as if I were there! Appreciate your work!
Glad you enjoyed it! :) Thank you for watching!
I love that thing about cat culture in Peru. Cats seem to be everywhere
En Chincha 😋
Only in that particular park 😁
Sorta, we have cats and dogs running out in the streets but is mainly because people are careless and they don’t take care of them or they let them go and some others well they feed them and keep them out in the street so they become the barrio’s pet
Excellent video. I am travelling to Peru from the UK in April so thank you for showing the best of Peru.
Hope you enjoy it!
man, this brings nostalgia to me...I walked these streets many times during my time living in Miraflores in 2014-2015... I was 24 and my experience was life changing...watching this video it is as if I'm discovering it all again for the first time. very cool. good job
That's great! and thank you! Do you think it's change a lot since you last visited?
Thanks for your comment. I do think it has changed but not too much. There are some different restaurants/bars than before but many of the same are still there. It will be interesting to see what the new 10 years holds as change is inevitable. cheers.@@s34nTravels
Nice video!! a great tour of Miraflores, the best town of Lima
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for watching! :)
Nope, Barranco has the real feeling 🫢
Peru ♥️ 🇵🇪 Magic fantastic magnificent
You should try Restaurante Cordano in Lima. They have excellent ceviche. I was just there Saturday. Also, the way people drive here is crazy. It’s like they’re playing a driving game.
Thank you for the tip! I'll check it out!
You're not wrong! 😂😂 It's madness!
Excellent, super detailed video of Miraflores! 👍
Very detailed and very helpful for tourists.
"Only can food, tuna" hahaha, it is because Peruvians eat FRESH food 😊, fresh bread, fresh fruit.
Thank you so much "....." I will check your other videos, like, and share.
Hugs from Idaho 🌷🤗
One of the best tours Ive seen here in youtube
Thanks for the kind comments! ☺💥
Thank you for the video. I was born in Peru but raised in the USA, so I don't remember anything about Peru, to be honest. Appreciate the video since it's close to where my mother bought an apartment (10 mins) recently for when she visits. I plan on going there in the future, so this was a nice watch. Even though I am Peruvian, I would feel like a tourist since I haven't been there for around 2 decades and I don't really understand the culture. Great virtual tour, I will subscribe.
Thanks for watching! That's pretty cool! I have had a few people comment on my videos that are in a similar situation as you! (Born in Peru, but grew up in US or Europe). I definitely recommend visiting and exploring your heritage!
wow Lima is soo beautiful
Nice video man. Show us San Isidro, which is next to miraflores.
Sure, no problem!
Great tour. I'm a fellow Brit who lives in Lima too. Those Donofrio vendors drive me insane with their little horns that they blast persistently and annoyingly haha other than that Lima is great!
Couldn't agree more! 😂😂 Nice to hear im not totally alone! Thank you for watching! :)
@@s34nTravels Yeah me too. I thought I was alone seeing all the people buying from them and funding their enterprise 😂 Anyways, great video. I never even noticed that little arcade before!
You're hilarious 😂👍🇨🇦
I tend to get a little peculiar when I'm alone 😆
I don't understand why this channel isn't more popular. It has descriptive content, long videos and an accurate tour of how the country actually is. We all know you deserve a raise Sean, keep up the good work!
Thank you! 😊
It's hard these days with short form content catering for shorter attention spans, but for anybody that enjoys long videos, I'm always here! haha!
Are you gonna be in Peru towards the end of march? I am coming there with my entire family and would really love to get a tour with you.
I wish I could! but unfortunately I'm probably leaving soon and I need a tour guide license to do that... This video (and the other one I linked below) shows pretty much all of Miraflores, so you have that suburb covered at least! :)
Visit Trujillo, it is close to Lima and it is spectacular
Miraflores 💯💯💯
I really like watching the sunset of the cliff edge! There aren't many better places in the world to do that

Thank you for watching! I'm glad you liked it! More to come very soon! 😊😊
fab tour so kool too . have a great week, cheers
Thank you! You too!
I love your video! So detail oriented
Thank you!! 😊😊 That's me... unfortunately! haha~!
Great video, thank you!
Glad you liked it!
good stuff brother, glad you are enjoying!

Excellent video Mr. Murray 🎾, did a great job :)
Glad you enjoyed it! 😆♥
Muchos éxitos! 😃
cuanta nostalgia...
Buen video hermano. Good video brotha
Thank you for watching! :)
Wong Supermarket is kind of expensive, pretty much like a Whole Foods Supermarket or Zabar's here in New York actually here is very expensive if you like cheese, fish, red meats, and others goodies, in Peru you have many options if you running out of money 💰, if they offers you something in the marketplace in spanish you can say (gracias solo estoy de paso o mirando) (just looking around), for that kind of food with a beautiful view in New York it will cost you up to 200 dollars or more expensive, anyways, thanks for the long walk video 👍
Thank you for watching and sharing! :) I have visited NY a few times, I remember Zabar's! :)
Yes, I definitely need to work on my Spanish, but getting there slowly! haha! I'll remember that one!
Very good video .Great Job showing Miraflores walking more on details in general i liked much .

Congratulations.
Many many thanks! 😊😊
Nice video
Thanks! 😁
Hermosa lima senorial

Good job man, very explicit.
Glad you liked it!! 😊
Lima la historia, cuenta con muchas historias
¡Hay tantas gemas escondidas en Lima! ¡Muchas historias y secretos no contados!
Peru, 🇵🇪 also known as the millennial country of CULTURAL DIVERSITY and 5,000 flavors. And currently with the best restaurant in the world "Central" by Virgilio Martinez. It is the only country in the world with at least 8 types of cuisine: Creole, Marine, Andean, Amazonian, Nikkei, Chifa, Vegetarian and Haute cuisine. And CEVICHE is part of the Marine cuisine of Peru. According to the Guines Record, Peru has the record of 491 typical dishes, thus becoming the country with the largest number of typical dishes in the world. It also has 2,500 native soups, 250 desserts and more than 3,000 varieties of potatoes. We can feel proud that God has blessed us with a gastronomy that is unique in the world. 🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪🇵🇪
That's an advertisement for Peru if I didn't see one myself! Airlines should use it 😆🔥
Huaca Pucllana is definitely on my bucket list.
Definitely recommend! 😊 Thanks for watching!
earned yourself a subscriber!!! loved this video. can’t wait back to be back in peru in 2 weeks 😍

you do your job simply great, i enjoy watching your clips
Thank you very much! 😊💥
Awesome vide !!! Next time go to monterrico racetrack and the catacombs at San Francisco church in Lima
Thank you! :)
I have been to both places. They don't allow filming at the catacombs at San Francisco church in Lima, but I added a little bit in my Lima video... I didn't include it in my Miraflores video, you should check it out!
The racetrack was fun, but im from the UK and we have those everywhere, so I didn't really think of doing a video here haha!
thanks for watching! :)
Welcome to Peru

Hi, i was actually going to be going to Peru long term next year. What neighborhood was your apartment in? Is there a way to reach out to you to get more info on this? Im in the US. Great video btw!
Hi I came across your vlog from Peru, we are planning to travel in may but not sure if now if the good time to travel or no?
There is some emergency situation going on I heard, can you suggest me what should we do?
I posted 2 videos on that already, check them out :)

😂😂😂
Few canned food because people cook at home, eat at restaurants and most foods are made from scratch.
I thought about that, but I don't think that is the reason. I still find this really weird. Mainly because fish is freely available, pretty much everywhere; yet, tuna is plentiful in cans. I'm thinking it's maybe something else entirely to be honest.
If this was the reason, then it doesn't explain why pinto beans in tomato sauce (one can I see that isnt tuna) are imported from the US and up-charged to almost 10-12 soles.
Te falto! LARCOMAR Y PARQUE BICENTENARIO
I visited another one at Lima Zoo, it was pretty interesting! There are so many around the area, but I really liked this one! :)
It raining couple months ago Fiyi 😅
wow! There's a sight for sore eyes! 😆 That's great! The seasons have been really strange this year!
Visiting March 3rd. Would you think it’s safe to visit at that time ? I know with the protest and stuff makes me a bit skeptical but would love to know your input thanks !
It’ll be ok… The native uprising has been more or less crushed once again, and things are returning to normal. Going to Machu Pichu might still be risky, as it is so easy to trap tourists there and make international news. But everything else is back to normal.
Lima... Yeah sure! It's pretty good now
There are lot french in Peru cause in France you graduate going to other places to study. Some of them go to southamerica because the mouth to mouth (parties, people, cheap stuffs, etc) and that Is the reason of creperies in Miraflores and the people like it. I was study in university with 30% frechies and was awesome to know other culture and other point of view in the classroom
That's very interesting! Thank you for sharing :)
I like peru
Why is not recomendable the bar AB Restobar?
The owner of the bar stole my phone!

Esos y Doritos morados jaja!
How do you say $600 USD in Miraflores? I’ve been looking and can’t find less than 1K on airbnb. Any suggestions?
There's the problem: airbnb!
You need to start on Facebook marketplace!
Excellent video. Please can you let me know where you stayed? I am goin in December and looking for a low price air bnb with 2 bedrooms. Thanks
Have a good trip! ☺️
No idea about Airbnb stuff, sorry
I went to Quito, Ecuador in December and they also have crepe shops set up everywhere. A friend I made down there said that it is just a popular food that is trending there right now, so maybe it is the same in Lima! They were really good!
That's interesting to hear! It must be a new trend at the moment here!
I remember we started seeing them in the UK in maybe 2003, then they started stuffing them with hot food (Like a crepe burrito lol)
Can you tell me approximately how much the laptops are there?
Take the US price and add 20% or so!
It's interesting. I'm not too sure though. I wonder if it's also because there isn't a canning facility nearby? Because the cans are usually imports and with added tax, it makes it too expensive for most things.
Other countries enjoy eating fresh, but cans are available for those people who dont have the time/skill/ability to always cook or buy fresh. They are also good for roadtripping, quick meals with a long shelf life. Thats why I doubt that it's solely for this reason.
If cans were available, I think people would buy them.
@@nataliab.5591 When did that happen? Do you have a source? I would be interested to see!
Generally:
Many poor families buy canned foods in the UK as fresh foods are more expensive.
Single men use them a lot too as they cannot cook 😆
and I see them a lot used by hikers, campers, trekkers and people like that. Carrying fresh food on a multi-day hiking trip isn't a great idea.
I'm wondering what the alternative of those would be. (apart from the first, as I find fresh things much cheaper in Peru, which is great)
Ahora las calles son bulevares
So Miraflores is just a big metropolitan city, very Westernized? I’m looking for a traditional Peruvian culture. I think I’ll stay in Historical Center of Peru. Thanks for this video.
Westernized? Peru is in the western hemisphere, you fool.
Love the walking tour!! How did you find your $150 dollar apartment. Did you use a agent? I know this is an old video. But it still can be reverent:
Thank you! :)
I just walked around Surquillo and found a note in a window, called the number, then I had an apartment :)
@@s34nTravels WOW!!! Thanks for the feedback. What is Surquillo? Is that the neighborhood? Practicing my Spanish and back following your vids. Are you still there?
Cuanto tiempo llevas en peru ? Dentro de poco sacarás tu carne de extranjería !!
6 months!
Hi!! What is the name of the place where you live at that price? thank you
It's a random apartment in Surquillo! Via FB marketplace
people do prefer to make their own beans
thanks, I think youre funny and the video is interesting! Is lima or Mexico City better to live and travel for two years? I like the fact that lima has the sea, but if there is never sun maybe Mexico City is better... idk... what do you think? Is the air fresh in lima or is there a lot of smog?
Thanks for watching!! :) oh wow, that's a tough one!
Well Lima never has any rain! So there's that! (Good or bad, I'm not sure!) and like you said, the ocean is near by! There is plenty of sun! I made a video on public transport in Lima, maybe you wanna check that out! The traffic is diabolical! haha! or least the drivers are! I don't think there is too much smog in my opinion though, most of the cars now run on LPG (not gasoline) through a government scheme to convert all the cars away from gasoline.
I cannot comment on Mexico city, I have been to different cities in Mexico, but no Mexico City!
THANK YOU so much! I have
a job offer. in lima for February 2024... I will watch all your videos now and then later decide which city I will choose... Heard of the traffic - omg ... no smog is amazing!
thanks!@@s34nTravels

That's great! Barranco is pretty touristy, you won't have too much trouble finding English speakers there. Hope you have a good time out here!
bread is cheaper and better at your local bakery
I agree!!! bakeries are super cheap and fresh! win win!

Your videos are fantastic, I watch them more than once
Just be cautios when you point at peoples food with your fingers ,you may get trouble!
I dont understand why every comment you type is negative lol, your friends must hate you 😆 dont be such a debbie downer!
I think people in Peru are not big cause the majority don’t own a car. Here in the USA we have to drive everywhere, walking places it’s not part of our routine :(
Good evening, I am writing this comment because some time ago someone told me what was the reason behind the short stature in a good part of the Peruvian population (being Peruvian).
It is the result of an adaptation of the human body for the terrain that exists in the height of the country, the so-called “Cerros”, because people had to go up and down hills constantly, an activity that wears the human body a lot, the legs became shorter to facilitate this activity, but consequently low our average height.
@@faqks3359 I don’t think walking is the reason for being short… I think our genetics are the reason. But there’s a story about the Incas being taller than the Spanish conquers. Even if you go to Cuzco all the steps to go to the ruins are very high kind of hard to climb.
In Perù there are tall, short, medium, blonde, black, white, asian, indians and mixed race person.
I did around an hour of research on the internet because I was curious.... People living at high elevations tend to be smaller, due to evolutionary adaptation (scarcity of food), same with the Nepalese for example. Scientists also found a gene variant in Peruvian people associated with height. There was also a study of people from Nepal which was found that the locals have high‐altitude genetic adaptation; making for easy living and climbing at high altitudes. It all makes sense really. Interesting stuff!
(RE: comment below: The Spanish were actually taller on average, but not by much.)
@@s34nTravels thank you for the information :)
The Local food its made and offer to Locals ,If you a visitor and chose to try it ,its up to you ,stop criticising about the quality the Local ways to do things!
I dont understand why every comment you type is negative lol, your friends must hate you 😆 dont be such a debbie downer!
This guy gives a great tour.. Looks like a very nice city.... I don't see any beautiful women though.. After living in Japan you can walk down the street anytime and get whiplash.. You see beautiful girls about every 3 minutes.. Everywhere.. Some places obviously better than others.. All the girls must have left.. In some countries only the senior citizens are left.
Thank you!
Miraflores is mostly full of tourists, but the workers and staff are locals. I made a video of central Lima, that would probably give a better indication if that's your thing!
I am an American and I have lived in Miraflores sin 2009. There are actually several parks in the park at the opening of the video. The main park is PARK KENNEDY, named after JFK. Everyone refers to the entire park as Park Kennedy (not Kennedy park or Central park)
A little pedantic don't you think? Haha! 😆
Peruvians are also Americans , because is a name of of the continent. Dont forget . America is a continent. North and south .
people are thin because they walk everywhere so exercise is paramount.
Similar to the UK, but we're getting a bit fatter these days 😄
Y pequeñitos
