Cinematic Poster Editing in Photoshop - My Year In One Frame

One of my biggest strengths is making posters and thumbnails using Photoshop. It shows a recap of a story or a series and I am very fascinated about designing it. I've been making them for almost 10 years. Every once in a while I make one of these posters to showcase my life because I believe everybody’s life is worth making a TV series of. No matter if you have a tragic or a boring life, all the experiences together can be artistic. Like what I said in the video, these posters aren’t just about collage, it’s about organization and what type of vibe it brings to the audience. The video is short, but as a matter of fact, I spent hours and hours figuring out the general vibe. This year is pretty bittersweet to me, mainly because I was struggling with adulting and how to communicate and network. All these pictures I use to make the poster are just the surface of my experience. Therefore, I added the water upfront and created the reflection of everything, which wasn’t in my original plan. It’s like the iceberg picture, where most of the ice is actually hidden under the water. What we see in this poster about my year experience is in fact, not 100% of what I’ve been through. I wanted to create an environment that’s a bit mysterious and depressing but still has hope. It’s significant for me, as a designer, to fully understand the content of a product, no matter if it's someone’s life story, a film, a video game, or an app, so that I will have the potential to be creative and inspiring.
