Wemby is very honest, and I love it.
You'll notice foreign players and their language barriers usually makes them more blunt. Had this in school as a french kid in an english school. Its wanting to be understood vs not being too blunt and remaining polite.
He is leading the league in blocks, arguably could win DPOY, He out did the rest of the rookies in damn near all major statistic categories, he did it all while being available and taking care of his body with no side drama … and he didn’t meet his own expectations?
Year 2 Wemby is going to be SCARY! I can’t wait till he hits his WembenMAMBA years

Except for 3 years we ended up with DeMar DeRozan which was a gigantic waste of time since he never liked playing for us plus he was too busy banging his heauz Shavvonti and Barenese knocking up one of em to even try to help us do anything or go anywhere smfh...

When comparing to rookies like Tim Duncan, Shaq, Robinson, or Lebron, remember those guys played close to 40 minutes per game.
Wemby finished his rookie year averaging 29.7.
Scale it up to 36 minutes per game, he’s averaging 26 ppg, 13 rpg, 1.5 steals, and 4.3 BLOCKS a game.
Had he played those minutes, he absolutely has the 3rd best rookie season ever behind Wilt and Kareem.
He could’ve easily played 75 maybe 76 games if it weren’t for “precaution” taken by Pop.

@@ljgittingeriii3199 If I'm in the front office, I'd air on the side of being conservative with his minutes over the course of his whole career in the regular season. 30 minutes a night and 70 games a season to preserve his body would be my preference.
His Per36 stats are very similar to his averages in his last 10 games and that’s when he was allowed to play 30+ minutes, so the Per36 stats pretty much got it right.
Yeah wow. Wemby has seriously great competition too. Kareem entered a league with 14 teams and only 2 were any good. Wilt was only the 3rd 7 footer in the league so I don't rate their competition level. Magic Johnson was the first player who didn't look unco compared to the modern players.

If they win 35 games next year that will be a good improvement. If they keep the same squad they'll have a good lottery pick next year too.

actually, I think it's the opposite. He is mature indeed, and I'm confident that if he is offered a role in a movie, he will take it a mature perspective of marketing his brand and giving something to his fans. Also, he fits perfectly as a storyline for a Space Jam movie where Wemby (as an alien) comes in to save the world from these alien invaders, like how doesn't his trade mark fit perfectly to this movie.

Its crazy to think the Spurs are building around him. People will be let go for this man, its a sad thing but it's business. Spurs played better without Vassell Braham Sochan. They actually played like a team without them. Everybody knew they role. It was amazing to watch these last few games
