It's so rare seeing artists draw backgrounds, you should be an interior designer or engineer if you're not already
wow thanks 😳 i think I'm too bad at math for that lol
@@evuuI like it
@@evuu late response but ha ha I can definetly relate to that, although it can make things more difficult it doesn't make them impossible, as you can see, you're a pro when it comes to prospective
Cry in the corner as a weekly publish
@@FattyKung ya I see
i admire people who can draw intricate backgrounds
For years I've admired the gorgeous backgrounds in your artworks. This video is super insightful! Great work!
thank you, that means so much to me! 💗
I've found that, in Clip, if you add a 3d cube to your scene from the Materials panel; it gives you a perfectly aligned perspective grid for free. You can even rotate the grid along with your cube, so it acts as a fantastic reference point to how objects will look on the perspective grid.
oo i didn't know that! thanks for the tip
This is my first video from you, and I just wanna say that your art is amazing!!! You make drawing backgrounds look so easy :,)
thanks, really happy to hear that!! 💕
I really appreciate someone who is this far along in their art journey explaining their process on such rarely covered topics in such detail. CZcams randomly recommended me this video by you, but I hope you will find the time to do more of these tutorials over the coming months and years. Either way, subscribed just for this one. Very well done.
This video is a great breakdown of a very....intimidating process; its cool seeing such a thorough walk through :)
thank you, I'm glad 💞
This makes me appreciate manga/manhua artists SO much more.
This video is so useful thank you sm, also, i don't recommend checking the grayscale with gradient maps (7:14) , im pretty sure those change the values. I recommend making a layer on top of the illustrator, fill it with white and set the layer to color to see it better :)
thanks for the tip!
Did I just accidentally find an underrated up and coming art god 😱❤️
This is amazing! I was feeling dissatisfied with my art because I usually don't add backgrounds or have no idea how to draw backgrounds, but I really appreciated all the tips you mentioned. I know it'll take me a while to get to a point like this, but it's cool seeing your process!
this is a fantastic tutorial! It's fascinating to watch you draw every individual object using only line and figure tools, and you have such a strong grasp of perspective. I'll definitely be using the border tool for plants and warm/cool highlights for shiny objects now ♥
Finally someone that doesn't use 3D models for backgrounds. Drawing "the old fashion way" is a rarity now. It's honestly concerning how many people don't know how to create/draw perspective grids let alone backgrounds. Plus I also loved how you drew the books and other trinkets by hand. A skill that also seems to be fading away sadly.
I'm so grateful for this video! I'm a visual learner so seeing you draw and explain at the same time really helps me understand. I'm gonna go try and tackle backgrounds now!
I can't tell you how much I love this video! I also adore your art style too! Your voiceover isn't cringe; you explained it very well, and I'm eager to watch more from you!
Thank you for sharing! It’s so rare to see someone paying so much attention to background ❤❤❤

O mój boże to jest to czego, szukałam, potrzebowałam a nie mogłam znaleźć. Mega pomocne!!!❤❤
dziękuje bardzo, cieszę się!! 💖
Thanks for sharing your process! I learned quite a bit 💖
thank you, I'm happy to hear that ❤
This was such a great and helpful video thank you so much!!
I can't believe this is a canvas under 3000px dimension 🤯 I always feel like my canvas isn't big enough, and make that an excuse not to try detailed backgrounds like this. Not anymore, I have to try this!!
Step 0: have the patience to take on this monster load of work! I'm still working on step 0 but thank you for sharing, I'll try some of these techniques for sure. Even if I don't have the stamina for a full illustration like these I learned stuff that should be valuable.
Omggg..New video ahhhhh ❤❤❤❤❤✨✨✨✨✨
Holy moly, Cooked hard with this one, I LOVE IT!! 07:11
This was incredibly helpful, you have no idea how much I wanna draw backgrounds but I get so overwhelmed that I freeze, thanks!
I'm glad ❤ I believe in you
i need you in my life. i am subscribing NOW
oh i cant believe i found out who you were halfway through the video ! i love your art so much, instant subscribe and looking forward for more videos
thank you, I appreciate it ❤
This tutorial is awsome! I just suscribed! May I ask some question? When you are drawing the books an the details, are you using the perspective tool or the post correction mode of the brush? Or just doing yourself? The lines are so clean that I was amazed hahaha
Really nice work ❤
Gorgeous backgrounds! And great tips in there too! I'm in love with your light and shadow work. I wonder how long it took you to become so comfortable with filling up the backgrounds with details so everything looks cohesive. I'm still struggling with that xD
thank you very much! 💕 I've been drawing backgrounds like this for about 10 years, so a while haha
ur so underrated holy shit, this helped so much and ur art looks so good
Very beautiful!
I love your style and your characters! Thank you very much for what you do! nya :3
thank you very much 💞
Wtf! Why am i iust seeing your channel! Your art is amazing. CZcams needs to push actual good art channels like you
The tutorial is soo good 💗
thank you!! ❤
Acho incrível como apenas o tom de voz já entrega que ela está a 22 dias sem dormir, 9 dias sem comer e 5 dias sem beber água 😢
Sem falar que provavelmente está em uma ilha distante procurando uma forma de voltar a civilização humana...
Beautiful ♡
thanks bro ur a real one
this was informative. I'll be looking forward to your future videos :D
thank you ❤
man, I wish there was a draw along 1-2 hours long video of drawing manga background. i wanna draw along so i can feel more confident.
This is really cool. Thanks for sharing! Do you have a slower version somewhere? Would love to see in more detail how you shade and color with the layer types
you so patient
This is awesome ! Thank you so much ♥
thanks, I'm glad ❤
I loved this video
You have so much patience! I was trying to draw backgrounds and got frustrated cause there's so many items to color 😭😭
Вау, посмотрел 2 раза, очень полезно, спасибо большое❤❤❤
your voice is so cute! Also this helps so much your backgrounds are amazing! I was wondering, do you draw the background or characters first?
aah thank you! 💗 I draw the character first
Muito esclarecedor esse vídeo 😮👏👏
Oh wow! That is beautiful and very skillful, your voice was soothing to listen to as well. Wonderful video! If you see this, what size was the canvas that you drew on for the bookcase drawing?
wowww
The patience to do all that tho, my brain would freeze
ive always tried to eyeball it despite not being 100% confident, but maybe i should really look into perspective grids again!
i dont take any art classes and ive always just done art as a side thing for fun, but i did take a basic intro art class in high school as an elective (mostly because i just needed easy credits LOL) they taught us about the perspective grid and vanishing point, and one assignment was to draw a house with it. it didnt have to be detailed or anything, but i recall everyones, including my own, artwork looking.... pretty unnatural. forced perspective, but from a far away point instead of up close, if that makes sense? im not sure what happened there but it intimidated me and made me never use perspective grids again LOL. i dont draw much backgrounds anyway so i thought i wouldnt need it, but i've become stagnant.
then i found this video, and it was fun to watch! i liked seeing the process on your artwork. hopefully i can put these tips to use! i can visualize depth and stuff by looking at a perspective grid but sometimes there's just so much going on it's a headache to untangle
Wowww :0
I just got this recommended and I absolutely love everything you do! Such amazing art inspires me soo much and you make it look so easy too >_
wow nice sharing dude. SAVED.
The biggest obstacle for me when drawing backgrounds is figuring out how to study backgrounds while also studying character design, anatomy, and everything that reltes to making characters.
I know somethings overlap, but it feels like going to college at two different places at the same time.
i have some questions since i like your style so much
are the flat colors over or under the whole backgroud color + light color
also you said you use multiply or overlay for them
when do you use either one , i mean how do you choose
your voiceover was great! thanks for the advice, I've been really inspired by your works, you make it look so easy.
thanks, that means a lot to me 💕
I can draw characters well but i always avoid complicated background. Will watch this later
Im taking HEAVY notes rn
also your voice is adorable!
i know the timelapse makes it look like you did it so effortlessly, but can you clarify how u did the selection on each object for shading so on point?
Just subscribed! Your art is so wonderful, and it’s satisfying to see everything come together! I want to start adding backgrounds to my art, since I’ve avoided it long enough, haha!
You mentioned changing the pen size throughout the backgrounds to make it all come together, but is there a pattern to that? I struggle most with this! Do you make the outlines of the background items thicker, and make the details inside thinner? Make lines thinner facing the light source? Or do you just make it random? Obviously you’ve been doing it for a long time, and it could just be intuition, but if you have any tips that would be super super helpful! Thank you for the tutorial 💕
thank you, i'm glad!
I mostly do the outline thicker, and also use thinner lines for objects that are far away
THANK YOU❤ , i cant draw background cause it so confusing for me
Can you also do a video on how you come up with art ideas
may i know what brush size you use for the lining? is there any tips too choose right size for lining? love your art, btw!
like ur voice demn
