My old buddy Rob, known him for 30 years, came by and said his fuses kept blowing..and asked if i had a "40 amp" for him. I took one look at his system and knew i had to do something. I fixed him up and got him on the road. I told him, when i have time, i will go through and fix all this stuff for you. It's BAD. REAL Bad. In a funny way. I guess he got it mostly like this. I don't know who is responsible for the bucket o' bass but i HAD to share this with you guys. Make sure to subscribe and hit like if you think i should hook Rob up proper and fix this for him.

Wish I could hit the lottery so I could have Meade build me a whole system/car makeover. Dude does the best work, hands down. His attention to detail is second to none. Love your work bro, much respect
Bro, this system looks like it's going to slap so hard. Nice work Steve
My son and I watch your episodes. You do amazing work. And really enjoy that you enjoy audio with a passion. It's fun to watch. Keep up the great work.
thanks Ken! tell your son i said wusssup! :) thanks for watching. I appreciate ya!
I love watching your videos because you don't cheap out on anything, you do everything with the best possible materials
My friend asked me why I like watching these videos. I said, "I like watching people do things that I can't do." She said, "Is that why you watch porn?" Grrrr! Curse you Marissa!
that is to funny LOL
I like her
Man your doing this all for free lol. Thats when you know someone loves what they do. Keep up the great work man !!
it's not that i love doing this. In fact, i would rather be doing other things. But i got love for my friends and i like doing things to make them happy. I like doing things to make strangers happy. But i still tell the youtube trolls to fuck off and i make no apologies for that. hahah
oh...thanks Scoot!
you have never forgotten where you came from steak knifes and car ports to box cutters and cnc machines and a shop with lights lol as someone who has watched from back in the day i keep saying how happy i am for your success
Love your channel bro. Watching this really makes me kick myself in the ass for not going to the installer institute back in 97 and getting my MECP certification back when I graduated high school. I had such a passion back then. Your work is amazing sir!
Your shit is so well thought out your unbelievably talented great work big dog! One day ill pay you a visit lol one day...
That bedliner looks good on the box bro. It's coming along good bro. Can't wait til it's all done
I love watching your installs. You sometimes go overboard a little but you make sure it's done right. Great job!
The quality you put into your work work is truly unmatched. Glad to see you never changed that :)
Soon as I heard Deftones, I was 100% invested.
i figured some people in my comment section would like that :D thanks!
Amazing work every job, attention to detail is 2nd to none. 💪💪💪
Well done Steve and crew was definitely worth the wait, box is looking good 👀 nearly there now can’t wait to see it playing, this guy is a very lucky guy!!🍀
Started watching this episode at work. Finally finishing it. That is badass especially the base you put in now that's professional detail
Who remembers Steve from the Escalade videos 😭😭 Time flies
Dam Steve always kicking ass man GOOD JOB ON WHAT YOU DO... welcome back bro
Wow, amazing work Steve, man when you do anything you do it right, it doesn't get anymore custom than this, love watchin your vids
been checking out this build for a while now. Gives me some ideas for my extended cab. Great work as always.
Dam man I love your work!! I get excited when I get a notification pop up of your videos. Love you videos keep going strong.
Your work is always 100% clean I love it 😎👍
Clean install as usual and really goes to show if you "take your time" the end result is well worth it 👍
It would be cool to see all those rear factory trim pieces sprayed it that awesome bed liner. Make the rear nice and tighty! Great work Steve!!
That kid you got helping you always looks like he's about to shit his pants when he picks up his side of the box.
How much dose a whole set up like that cost labor speakers and subs and box door panels and doors speakers I have a 06 extcab Chevy Silverado and where is your shop located your work is dope man👍
I like watching these videos Steve does because of the craftsmanship he displays, great work bro....
Loved watching this build!! About to attempt the raptor liner on a box for a new pair of sundown x15 v2
Everything looks awesome Steve!!!! Great job!!! 👍👍👍 Can't wait to hear the way it sounds!!! That was a hell of a lot of work their bro!!! So that's where those amps are going to be placed at permenetly??? Do you think the vibration of the sub box will loosen the parts inside the amps when it's hitting really hard??? I'm just wondering about that!!! That's all bro!!! Great video as always Steve!!! 👍👍👍
You make beautiful sub boxes bro
Steve Definitely a work of art. Love your videos and your attention to details on all your build. Thanks for the video
There’s just something about 4 woofers (or more) in a horizontal line. I had 4 10s in my Jeep just after high school. It banged
I'd take a trip to Cali just for an install this clean on my BRZ
So fresh, so clean
Been watching you for years man and your the best in the game. Thank for the informative videos as well as your builds. Gonna have to ship my Impala out there one day. Peace
That's a sweet setup man. I know you said in the beginning of this build that it wasnt gonna be much, but goddamn that's artwork
is it a good idea to add any damping under components when installed on top like that? also that spray! what was that black spray on material , great job man love it
what good would that do? #random. The spray is Raptor bedliner.
Im not sure that why Im aksing, I figured it would protect the boards inside and other components from all that vibration . Thanks for the reply on liner
you really think that's random and an out of this world idea
Dammit my good sir, you make it look so easy... Love your work!
I got to say, I love to watch you work. This really was my first passion from the late 80's to the early 90's until my back problems. I love all the tools I never had or develpoed yet. Excllect job!
Once again you never ceases to amaze us with your install videos! Love watching you do all the work 💪💪
Why not use SMD rca's?
Came to ask this exact question
They are SMD
Omg, who gives a shit
I hope that after this system update he considers some serious paint and body work .
why in the fuck would i do paint and body work to someones car for them just because i gave him a system? How about this "Major"...how about you send me a blank check i will get all the paint and body work done. SMH
meade916 NO NO NO . HE , the owner of the truck ! You're doing more than enough.
ya but if you want serious body/paint work done to the truck, send the check is what i am saying. It's easy to call the shots from your computer (or phone) but harder to pay for it. Want the address to send the money? :)
meade916 you're absolutely right. Perhaps I worded my comment incorrectly. What I'm saying is your work is excellent. I HOPE that he is able to do paint and body. That's all. No negativity at all. I'm not calling shots. I'm just respecting what I see and hoping for the best for the owner of the truck.
One of the hardest workin guys makin Shit look easy.....good Shit been locked in for years keep up the good work.
I love watching SMD videos, the content is awesome, but his reply's are just savage, love it!
I’ve been installing for over 20 years and i can really appreciate your attention to detail. Im sure you’re not cheap, but to have a system designed and installed by you would be well worth it...
im very cheap. I am free. I didn't charge him or the last 5 people i did this for. :) thanks man!
And after me its gnna be #6 😃..How bow dat
bring it! hahah jk i need some me time after this (my caddy) :D
For sure i hear ya.. I've definitely been waiting for the V3 build..
Steve, what do you do with all those batteries. You ever want someone to come get em lol. B I'll drive to ya. I need em for my solar install.
This might be a dumb question but I always thought it was bad to put the amps on the a box I did it once with some rubber spacers to try and exorbitant the vibration and it still mess the amp up ?
I thought that.
same question here, i thought i was a mistake but i think you put that gray and blue mix for that reason, i like your videos but i think it will be good if you explain some times why you do some stuff, keep it going your are the best
Michael Guthmiller space is not at a premium here..amps are not small..I always been against amps on the box. But this is a exception..Rob just got to insure his equiptment and the truck..very well I would..
if you build your box solid enough you can mount your amps to it. That "rule of thumb" only applies to people that don't know what they are doing.
this video was already almost 26 min long. No time to explain every detail. If i did that it would be 2 hours and 25 minutes long lol.
Steve’s an artist. It’s pretty amazing watching him work.
Love me some Deftones, great work as always. How talented you are at box building really shows in the videos. You don't hide anything and you don't cut corners. I remember when you got the ufo BTLs for the Tahoe, seems like ages ago now.
if i was to call this, "audio install PORN" would you get offended? i cant wait to see the finish.
Since you are mounting the amps on top of the box, will it damage the amp since there is so much vibration? Just curious.
what vibration? My boxes don't vibrate.
Is meade916 capable of a reply that isn't rude?
I’ve just been told that it wasn’t a good idea. But it could’ve been the bullshit shop that told me.
@TheRattleSnake3145 what the fuck did i say that was "rude"? I said "my boxes don't vibrate"....what in the hell is wrong with you? Are you THAT sensitive? Do you need to change your tampon or something? SMH
might not be a good idea if the box flexes. Like i said, mine don't.
Love the Deftones in the beginning of the video!
Awesome video as always man
The anticipation!!Been following this Build, its reminiscent of what my very first 🔊 install looked like....hook anything I had up, trying to get everything, lol
GreaT set-up Steve, and the follow thrU into the Pride put into EVERY System is beyond words!!
Great fucking video! another solid masterpiece! Steve meade the fucking legend! Fuck those 48 hating trolls that gave the 👎 probably just mad at their boss audio sound system setup lmao!
I'm already subscribed, I cant subscribe anymore!
You’re like the Mr. Clean of car audio. Your work is to die for, truly an art
Killer build dude I've been watching thru the whole thing. It's fun to see what guys can come up with when they have all the toys n the knowhow to put them to good use.
Thats a beautiful box if you dont need a back seat
А что не показал как валит?
Awesome build as always Steve. can't wait to see his face when he sees and hears his new system.
i know this series is a few years old but i still love watching it. SMD ❤
Have you ever considered hex/torx fasteners instead of philips/posi - they are a lot cleaner to torque and more professional.
lmao is that all you got? had to dig deep for that one huh? lol
The Phillips heads are probably the most easily accessible, both hardware and tool wise. I think manufacturers usually use torx drive screws to deter customers from tampering with special components in their vehicles, like the ignition key cylinder, or the ecm. Most other components are secured with #2 screws.
Sorry I realise you get a lot of trolls, i've watched your videos for years and I get you have a zero-patience attitude towards it these days.
I was offering a genuine and earnest idea as i've worked in industry for several decades now, and with the quality of work you do I just thought some decent A2/A4 grade hex or torx fasteners would positively reflect on your work.
no need for all that. The screws i used are just fine. Torx won't look or perform any better. I have been doing this for several decades myself. Thanks anyway for the "earnest idea" but i am good to go. If you been watching my video's for years like you say you have then you know people will stop the video, zoom in and TRY to find something "wrong" or something they would have done different....all the while not doing anything themselves at all except arm-chair quarterbacking. I'm good bro thanks anyway.
The only downside to the common screwdriver and screws is there is a bunch of different sizes. People use the wrong size, even ifs close, and start to round off the edges of the fastener.
As long as you use the correct tool for the job, it works just fine.
Dude Looks Like Chumlee's brother
Beautiful job that box is a work of art. Love it keep em comeing.
I like the little details you put in such as the recesses for the amps on top of the box..excellent work Steve \m/
Mana yang nonton dari Indonesia
Laik👍👍
$500 truck, $5,000 system.
Cris Thomson we don't know what's next..paint body work...you don't know.and it was a platform for steav to showcase his work you tub hits...THINK BEFOR YOU SPEAK...
so.
It was a joke. I'm sure the guy has big plans for the whole truck. I just sold a 93 Chevy like that one that I drove for 8 years. And yes I do subscribe and watch his videos because I enjoy watching his talents. I have never spoke bad about anyones videos on YT. Just chill out and get more info before you speak up. Thank you.
Love these videos, been following the whole series. This is A+ building / set-up work for sure. Many props my man.
MY FAVE BUILD SO FAR I REALLY ENJOY THIS ONE
They are not even centered in the box
Get your eyes checked you blind bastard. SMH

Much respect for the friend you are and your work 👍 loving the beats your son is pushing out!
Looks very good from start to finish.. Great one there SMD
Man !!! That's a very well build speaker box 📦 . Your friend will have lots of fun when your done with it. Great video !!!!
I love the look. That router is amazing. I like the coating , real clean look. I can't wait to see it all working.
This box is solid and top notch !!! This thing is going to pound real nice. Great video thanks for all the great tips along the way. DC 12s are good choices not to many subs that require less then 1.5 cubic feet of space.
Steve man your work is also clean 100% ! Made me nervous though moving the rack over by the Lex. Dont scratch the Lex !
Wow that came out sick can't wait to see the final video
The recessed areas on top of the enclosure for the amps and other stuff, made it look super sweet. Dope asf
Magnífico, impresionante, qué buen trabajo, saludos brother
