The problem with racing on the switch in handheld mode is the triggers are not analog. As far as I know I don't think any of the buttons are pressure-sensitive either
You can always use the right analog stick (not ideal, but the option is there)
Yeah I can't believe they didn't make an analog controllers that can be purchased for proper racing experiences.
I understand that the pro controller exists, but if I'm going to play it on the TV I might as well play it on a more powerful machiene. The whole advantage of this game being on Switch is that it's supposed to be portable. I don't wanna carry around an extra controller just to do a few laps on my lunch break.

I recommend rush rally 3 for those looking for a fun rally game. Its cheeper than wrc iirc and has loads of stages and rally cross tracks

with grid it was a fun game but there was no real insentive to play more. you werent really unlocking anything exept the ability to drive in better cars and it wasnt as satisfying as racing was
There is a game you guys left out that just came out, And it is NASCAR Heat Ultimate Edition+ it's finally out on the Nintendo Switch. If you remember EA Sports NASCAR on the PSP... That is what I think NASCAR Heat Ultimate Edition+ is based off of in my opinion and is a good game to play on the Nintendo Switch. My suggestion if you wanna make a part two to racing games on the Nintendo Switch. NASCAR Heat Ultimate Edition+ has the same options as NASCAR Heat 5 but Motorsport Games and 704Games even added an option to switch years from 2020 to 2021. I recommend the game to anyone who are NASCAR fans and wanting to take NASCAR on the go.

You mean just heading out with a nice car and enjoy the drive? AC with some nice mods (coastal maps are perfect for that) comes to mind. Otherwise you can also use Forza Horizon, the older Test Drive Unlimited Games (or wait for the brand new one). - Rene

Glad many of the issues have been fixed. The game is actually decent now.
Grid Autosport is a much better alternative.
