Obviously they dont "discover the wheel" of power-speed metal , but DAMN, Thundersteel ( and coverwise) + Painkiller + The Fourth Judgement + Running Wild + anything neoclassical + technical proficiency , all in one , blended = best power - speed metal album in ages. Ordered Lp + T shirt via bandcamp. Being Teen again. Priceless.
Yup, the point of NWOTHM is to revisit old metal with a fresh and modern take. I've been listening almost exclusively to djent and modern prog this past year and I needed stuff like this to remind me of the roots of what makes metal great.

These guys sound like if somebody threw Impelliteri, Racer X, Cacophony, Symphony X, Blind Guardian,Painkiller-era Judas Priest, DGM, Pagan´s Mind and a hefty dose of Tech-Death in a blender, added crystal meth, copious amounts of 100% uncut bolivian cocaine and 2 liters of Red Bull, than injected this cocktail directly into their eyeballs.

Never thought a band could be this epic nowadays. Such technicism in every song, not only guitars, but drums, voice, choruses, bass. Really a masterpiece. I'll look for the rest of their albums and if they're the same level as this one, i'll start buying them all. Such art has to be cultivated and that is the best way to support the artist. Thanks NWOTHM for posting, this discovery made my day.
Great part of the awesomeness is thanks to Iuri Sanson, ex-Hibria. If you like this, you will certainly like the first 4 albums of Hibria.
This band has the former drummer of Necrophagist and Obscura, former bass player of Obscura, guitars from Obscura and former Necrophagist, so it is 3/5 technical death metal veterans.

When a German band appears on this channel, I always seem to be expecting something straightaway along the lines of Gamma Ray or Running Wild. Love the said 2 cited bands anyhow and I haven't been left disappointed here by any stretch. Sure got the tuneful and accessible Teutonic power/speed thing going on and if it wasn't stated where they come from, I think I would have guessed correctly in the first few minutes of the opening track. This is good standard keeping stuff.
You'll sure also enjoy the previous band of this vocalist, called Hibria.
I think its safe to say that guitar wise, there arent too many bands that can do this. Amazing work
