    I think I made the wrong choice to attend grad school 10 years ago... Teaching English in Thailand was my alternative choice, after spending a month there and falling in love with it. Now I'm in major debt, and typically stressed out a fair majority of the time. Sure, my job has higher pay, but... I'm in a whole lot of debt. And, stressed.

    Do the schools have an age limit for foreign English teachers by policy or law?

    • @IntTEFLAcademy
      @IntTEFLAcademy  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Daniel, great question! Thailand is one of the many countries in Asia that has official retirement age between 55-60, and so schools will not sponsor work visas for those in that age range or above due to those policies. You can find more information on that along with other requirements here on our site: www.internationalteflacademy.com/blog/requirements-for-teaching-english-in-thailand

    • @andgray
      @andgray Před 2 lety +1

      You can switch to retirement visa and work through agents. Just don't look too old. Don't hobble around and celebrate your 70th birthday in class.
