- Re-creation (from audio cassette recording of original 1980 ABC broadcast) of combined closing theme of these 3 shows, as aired on ABC from 1980-81, including v/o promo for EIght is Enough, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and ABC Weekend Special, including rare original Filmways logo. All copyrights acknowledged. For classic TV historic purposes only. Thanks to "dacartoonfanatic" for portions of the video.
Always loved the filmways animation at the end
Same here, that logo was also seen on 240-Robert a series from the Creator of "CHiPs"
At the copyright screen, after the Ruby-Spears copyright notice, there are additional copyright notices for McNaught Syndicate (Heathcliff) and DC Comics (Plastic Man).
Proof that networks ALWAYS screwed with TV show end credits to get more advertising time. At least here you can read them, instead of them being microscopically squashed at the bottom of the screen during the actual end of the show. I HATE that so much.
Ditto.
The voiceover is May 16,1981 but Im not sure about this cartoon episode though.
It wouldn't have been 1982 because Plastic Man & Dingbat were no longer airing on ABC by then.
John W Landry It was 1980
It's was 1980.
I'm guessing this was 1982? I remember watching "Mayday! Mayday!".
Diskoboy1974 That was where Filmways was brought out Ruby-Spears to Taft that same year.
0:37 Plastic Man™ credits.
1983-84.
