  • This was shot in June 2015 in the Nassau area. Stuart Cove's was the dive operator. It has 3 chapters: Sharks, Fish & Coral Gardens, & Shipwrecks. I used three separate 3D camera systems over a one week period to shoot this. Real eye candy for 3D lovers!

Breathtaking by every description! I felt almost as if I were 'there', not only in anaglyph on my PC but in side-by-side on my 3D television! The depth is magnificently captured and proves once again, that the art of stereoscopic video cannot be equalled by flat, 2D imagery! Totally immersive environment on a television screen; magic in the grandest sense of the word! Thank you, Barry, for 'taking us there!'

Thank you Bruce. Unfortunately, 3D TVs went out of fashion, so glad you are fortunate enough to have one. I have a 3D capable Epson projector and 10' screen. Whenever I feel like I want to do the next best thing to diving, I watch some underwater 3D and chill😎

This is amazing. I don't know how you do it. On my computer, I can just use cyan and red glasses, but on my LG 3D TV, it goes into "3D mode" and I see it through the polarized glasses. Beautiful!

Exceptional video. Very well done and much enhanced by 3D.

Thanks Gordon, much appreciated. If you like this one, check out the latest 3D underwater film from Cozumel. There's a 2D and 3D version of it.
      Best Regards,
      Barry

Wow! Someone who really knows how to shoot and edit 3D anaglyph video. You understand how to use keyframes.

Oh yea, lots of keyframing. I often use several keyframed mask layers for color, brightness, and contrast adjustments, as well as keyframed stereoscopic adjustments. I really never use anaglyph and edit and view 3D using active 3D monitors and an active 3D projector. Anaglyph, seems really erratic with regard to crosstalk/ghosting, and of course color. Very inconsistent depending on the screen size or model of glasses. Sometimes, I will use it for doing quick proofs of the day's dive videos with a laptop, when we're on on the road.
It's really unfortunate that 3D has fallen by the wayside and CZcams only let's people view it in anaglyph. For a few years, you could view it on active and passive displays, but then they eliminated this feature. Of course, other than some projectors, it's not available as an option on TVs anymore.
Sounds like you're pretty well versed in video editing to be able to spot the keyframing!! We also make time lapse 2D films on one of our other channels. On those, I love using a lot of Ken Burns keyframed pan/zoom/tilt/ moves.

Not really sure about everything you said. The video appears to be an anaglyph video as I see it (red/cyan). Anyway, love the results. I have a 3D channel you may be interested in but I think my editing is not as precise. All of my videos are red/cyan anaglyphs. czcams.com/channels/KloBWYwzP54mu8IlTdoh8Q.html I am currently working on an aerial rig that I can shoot 3D with a drone. If it works I will post results on the 3D site I just linked.

@@davidkearnes9623 On a 3DTV is in Real 3D, not anaglyph. CZcams shows you the video in anaglyph if you're not using a 3DTV
