But technically as Shohei Toyama Sensei's hips have turned completely over it's Ushiro Yoko Geri Kokomi, which is faster, more powerful, easier to keep your balance with, more accurate and harder to counter than the normal Ushiro Geri. This was first developed by American Karate fighters like Joe Lewis and the Jhoon Rhee National TKD Squad in the '60s and '70s. Amazing how our BUDO brotherhood gets to the same place eventually.
