With mall shootings, always remember that all stores in a mall have back doors to back hallways that lead to fire exits. When you here gunfire, run into the store that you are in front of for safety instead of running with “ the heard”. Running with the heard gives a shooter an easier time to pick off victims. When sitting in a food court, sit near a pillar so you have cover AND concealment.
I used to work at a subway, and I would always tell my friends and family, if shit hits the fan, run into any of these food places, there's a back door with LONG ASS hallway leading to the underground parking lot. Where I live mass shootings are not a thing, but you still have to be ready.
thats herd, not “heard”…but yeah, good advise…
@@thestevecbr thanks auto correct sucks
Engine blocks in the parking lot, too. Do not hide behind the other parts of the vehicle if you can help it.
Not in my country
You guys should do this again & pop a drone to get an overhead view. I'd love to see this done fluidly with no cuts. & to see what each person's doin. Nonetheless pretty badass.
That wud cum particularly convenient from 4:58 - 5:02 cuz it seams like he's crossing in front of ze DJ's muzzle. Even tho, DJ is shooting left from him, but still. Sumone who never done "falling" with ze team, cud learn zis ze wrong way.
If they fly me out I'd do it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Looking for another media guy?
I was thinking that exact same thing! Drone footage is next level!
agreed.
Offer still stands😂
Please do more Small team, duo, and single man Tactics. Can't get enough of it and Learned a lot
Seriously like 50 combined years of Tier I and 2 expertise with this group. Such a cool thing to watch them move and their thought process behind everything they do. AWESOME TIMES WE ARE LIVING IN.
That is an impressive group. For my part, I wouldn't want to screw around to the point where Shipley had to call his mom in.
Mike was cag lol
Mike was tier 2 and became tier 1 in later of his career. He was in cag along with Tu Lam
Tu Lam was never in CAG. He was always a Green Beret but was attached to CAG due to them taking a lot of losses at the time.
They were all Tier 2 then Tier 1. Mike was apart of the unit as a sniper. DJ and Cole were DEVGRU
Being a civilian with no .gov experience, but having done some two man shoot and move training, it always blows me away how easy guys at this level make it look.
Was thinking the same thing, and I don't think people realize that it is more difficult than it looks. When you first see it demonstrated in training you think "oh that's simple, I can do this no problem" and then you actually step up on the range for the first time with another student to do the most basic and linear version of this and you are fumbling around like an idiot, not communicating effectively, hitting slide lock at the worst moment possible, and just all around fucking it up. Then you realize- shit...alright that was much harder than it looked. It's funny how you can "college-brain" your way through a dry run of a drill just fine (off to the side during a break or while other students are running the drill or whatever), but then when you step up and the adrenaline gets moving that "lizard-brain" takes over and you are making the stupidest mistakes again (and then you remind yourself that the small amount of simulated stress fucking you up on the range is hardly comparable to the adrenaline dump you would experience if the targets were shooting back at you).
In short, yes, these guys made it look easy. I would love to train with them or have the chance to pick their brains for the little tips and knowledge transfer.
The humility of real world war fighters never ceases to amaze me. Ive seen this my entire life and especially in my LE career. My mentor a Unit guy, who had an elite resume of Tier One real world experience, was ALWAYS learning and teaching. Never an ego when it came time for knowledge transfer
You can't be the best if you're not willing to listen to the best.
The best are always humble
That willingness to learn is probably a big reason why hes elite. War is a team sport. Learning from others who play your position well is always a constant
@@jpipaj …umm how many SEALs have you met? Because they do not have a reputation for excess humility.
Absolutely CORRECT 👍 PREACHER ONE OUT
3 professionals you definitely want on your side. God bless you guys.
Remember. All the knowledge in the world cannot save you, if you do not train, train, train. Huge respect to these guys, and their craft, Think then act.
Learning tactics from guys of this caliber is priceless.
I learned how to break contact get bullied at school😉
The teachers were useless, no one is gonna rescue you, it's up to you.
Facts...
Some may find this kind of content boring. Just because there's not much going on visually. So what. This is the stuff people actually need to be watching. Not exploding watermelons or seeing how many tubes of Colgate will stop a 50 cal
@@NoNo_IStay Personally I don't find it boring at all. Both types of video have their time and place.
@@NoNo_IStay both types of videos are good.
I used to teach dismounted patrolling and small unit tactics to fireteam level Marine infantryman in the fleet. I've always felt rudderless when trying to mentally apply these concepts out of context. This really helps me visualize how this sort of thing would manifest in a in a situation that would more reflect my civilian reality.
Really gotta give a shout-out for this trio working together to demonstrate skills and tactics to us lesser-mortals. It almost looked like they were back in their real element. Cole reminds me of the age-old saying that "still waters run deep." He's typically a man of few words, but you can tell there is a LOT below that calm facade.
Our SOP was generally two mags worth of bounding and our ALL SET call was a one word brevity code, we'd do a quick 360, take a LACE, and then PL would designate direction of travel offline of our original bounding direction and we'd head out. We did pick up some cool stuff from Australian SAS and some old sadf guys. Those guys were tough and bad ass. Always great to learn new stuff.
Mike already said it but I think we all need to recognize the importance of constant process improvement. Of course Mike can run with the best and he willing learns from others. These are the last 3 dudes you wanna see in your face! Great video guys!
it reminded me we learned basically the same shit as regular, slow infantry for crossing bridges
I rotated out of STA teams back to regular infantry. I used to instruct in dismounted and small unit field applications to fireteam level grunts. I didn't realize the level of retooling required for application in the real world.
Awesome stuff guys. I learn everytime I watch you all. Awesome
Thank you guys for the videos and your service.
Thank you for keeping that audio real. Dang. First surprise is how freakin loud gunfire is. Respect. ❤️🇺🇸
In a peel move one guy needs to keep suppressive fire all time. The last guy keeps firing until he is given command from rear "ready" or he sees a guy passed him starts to fire.
One of the most most commonly overlooked and likely injuries a combatant can experience is silly shit like slipping on some ice and busting their shit, if you're lucky enough to survive then I suppose your lucky enough to learn, might as well consider it a good day, I say anyways, for whatever that's worth lol.
Appreciate you guys, thanks for your time in showing us these tactics.
My utmost respect. Words cannot define my gratitude to you guys! Thank you
Years of knowledge in minutes. Very good content.
Mike, thanks for asking questions you already know the answers to for our sake. I know you are asking these questions partially to see how Cole and DJ do these tactics, but you've done these same drills and learned the same tactics as they have. We haven't, however, so it's great to have someone knowledgeable asking the right questions that we might not think of. Thanks for the humility, expertise, and intellect you bring to the firearm tactics and survival world. We appreciate you and the GBRS guys.
Greatly appreciate what these guys do.
Absolutely need to see Mike vs DJ or cole with airsoft/paintball/sim rounds
This is good stuff! It’s a great exercise to keep you thinking about your next move. Seeing you guys moving out there is awesome. Thanks for all you guys do. Excellent topic. 🤩
Thank yall for this
Beautiful what a team you guys are and the chemistry unbelievable you take it to different level 🤙
So much wisdom. Thank all of you
Absolutely OUTSTANDING..
Really enjoying the collaboration of these two groups. You can definitely see your passion, of teaching, learning, and being more proficient, from all angle's, of the tactical field. Good to see your friendship grow, with each and ever video. Most of all, Thank you, each and every one of you, for your service, to this Country.🎖🥇 Thank you for keeping us safe and free, as Americans.🇺🇸 Hoorah! ⚓
This series of field craft survival/GBRS collaborative content is top notch. Feels like every bit of dialogue is incredibly valuable. Appreciate you guys
Nice video guys .. I love this collaboration of learning.. verbal harmony first then practice
Thank You...... God bless You for the Information...
those guys are so soft spoken you can tell they are very seasoned Thanks for the vids Mike keep up the good fight guys
Its great to get the guys together watch and learn and practice being a fast learner helps and being athletic self taught training it goes a long ways
these guys are some of my favorite people. they train hard and share this knowledge with civilians. with the future looking bleak, we need this knowledge. Mike, Dj, and Cole are heroes and they never stop serving their country and advocating freedom and preparedness
Love this collaborative content. Love the message. And gotta say - love the film style, tangible artistry in the angles and shots here. 👌
Ya 🎨
Love this thanks guys
Great work...We drilled this 40 years ago in Oz during the Great Peace. Memories...Keep it up.
Beautiful point made Mike when mentioning the Open Forum. Keeping an open mind to new ideas and suggestions is key to learning new innovative ideas. Of course not all will apply to every situation or service but to learn something new that will and may save lives is certainly what we all are looking for. May God continue to Bless what you and everyone who lends their time to what your doing, thanks brother and stay safe.
When I was taught these bounding drills we were taught to call out the area we were moving toward for example moving fallen tree 8 o’clock 20 yards. This helps you know where your team members moved to when it is your turn to move.
I'm sure it helps you but as a non military trained civilian i prefer less is better and faster.
"Moving!"
2nd guy "move!"
1st guy "set"
Rinse repeat. That way you don't need to focus to hear an entire sentence. As long as I can pick a good spot and I know my partner isn't going to drill me soon as I'm moving all should be fine.
Great camera work and editing. You guys really captured the beauty. Like a scene from Shooter but with real badasses! 👊
Please more small unit stuff. It's a complete treat seeing this sort of educational stuff presented to civilians just trying to learn and train to better serve their own safety and that of their communities.
Wow. 3 guys that would make all the right moves in a bad situation...they're worth their weight in gold...thank you for your service! And, great topic, helping the helpless with some simple tactics may just make the difference for the novice to save their family...pls keep sending this amazing content...
Great job guys!
Great content Mike 👌 👏 👍
Awesome recap! Love the review of the exit strategy.
Great content. Thanks.
Good shit. Love these kinds of videos.
Another incredibly informative and easy-to-understand video from three top-tier professionals!
Great vid, keep’em comin Mike 👍
I lilove all your guys stuff. Mike, Dj, and Cole!
Very informative. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
The environment dictates a pathway. A pathway cannot dictate the environment.
Can't get enough of these guys great content as always
Great vid..
When I was a conscript in Singapore, we did a similar leap and bound movement but shout "On" instead of "Set", and we were also taught to only get up and move after the section mate who had just moved resumes his cover fire from his new position even if you hear the "On" call-out. Noticed that in the final movement when Mike shouted "Set", DJ and Cole left their positions even though Mike hadn't started giving cover fire yet.
Of course I'm no expert but im just sharing my observation and what I know from my limited time as a conscript.
Good video. Thanks for the passing on your experience!
👍😊🇺🇸
great stuff, tyvm
Two of the top best organizations together at once!
Great content guys, I appreciate it! Private citizens need to know this stuff to be responsibly armed/trained. I hope you guys put out more stuff like this.
Outstanding
I asked for you to cover this on your personal account! this is awesome 👌 thank you!!
Always looking forward to collabs with GBRS.thanks fellas
Been teaching my son these maneuvers for just in case. As an SF support unit guy I don't get to look as cool but hopefully get the point across lol. My son loving your videos and sharing of knowledge. Appreciate you guys coming together. SINE PARI
Thanks for great advice about moving when shit hits the fan!!!!
Guys are amazing smart! 🇺🇸 love video brother 👊🏼
anyone else notice that at 4:44 Cole has a different rifle? as always, another GREAT video! Thanks for sharing all of yours knowledge!
Love u guys together
This is must see content
Nobody else comes close💪💪👊🇺🇸
I have played with this stuff with my wife for getting out of situations where things are crazy, but not to the shooting stage yet. Since she is tasked with evacing our child we try to use bumps instead of bounds. That way, I as the security element always stay between our child and danger, even though my wife has her CCW and carries as well. If things are to the shooting stage then SOP is for her and the kid to get out and not stop while I hopefully stop the threat, or just lay down a base of fire to cover their movement. I then would try to get out myself once they are safe.
Glad to see you talking about this stuff and how it can apply to the civilian world.
Wow, thanks for all that information.
Good stuff - a million reasons why you should not run in front of suppressing fire - it WILL leave a mark!
one smoke canister is counter productive but a 3 part canister that is threaded together is an option a mini Bangalore Smoke option as it ignites the initiator lights off the other pieces
Great video!
We were taught to peel back to the last Rally Point (answering the question how far do you keep peeling) but I guess the All Clear means you don’t have to constantly set Rally Points during patrol now?
Great vid 👊
This was awesome. You guys should do work for movies. the rawness of this was epic.
I really enjoy seeing this content from you guys, keep it up and thankyou for sharing! (maybe some nods content in the future with gbrs??)
I was literally in the mall two days ago with my gf and one shot was let off which I believe ended up being a ND but it was definitely sobering to realize that, that could have been the moment all of my training and studying will be put to the test. I had my gun but of course it was the day she left hers home( I gave her hell for it after) but yeah I already consider these event into my thought process because gun violence isnt new to me (I live in Philadelphia) but in the mall was a “wow” moment so hearing the mall example really Hit home but thanks for the knowledge guys and everyone stay safe and stay alert!❤️
Super badass to hear this info from pros
Good information communication is the key.
Good video 👍
Good stuff
Imagine Dale Brown watching this video and be like “that’s an intelligent option to increase my chance of survivability”
Lol
I can’t help but to read it in his voice lol
@@rudybotello9559 who wouldve thought self torture can be this good
I don't think Dale Brown is self-aware enough to realise he can learn from other people. He'd probably criticise these guys for something that he thinks he could do better than them.
Dale Brown is a dangerous idiot.
Stay out of fatal funnels...doorways...hallways...etc.
You guys all rock.
It’s like science, it doesn’t progress without the exchange of ideas and theories
Were both DJ and Cole in Red Squadron with Rob O'niell? Rob mentioned Cole in his book, DJ was probably Delicious.
Music: Falling Through the Hourglass - Sid Acharya. It's crazy that I had this song open and paused in another tab. Great to chill to. Even better when used to zero in on a zen-like control of your mind.
I’m a over weight pos but mike you and dj are true heros and I take your word as godsend I’m only running what I can which isn’t what you guys are I have a s&w ar15 16’ w a vortex x4 strike eagle w a white light w a pressure pad and a sig m17 w a vortex viper and white light bc of ,dj a ture north drop which I love I have a chest rig big and bulky but it works to holds my shit…. seeing you guys on the move from a drone above would be fuggin righteous.
Thank u guys awesome sxxt
Nice.
God damn mike. You are a big boy. I mean that with the utmost respect. I know ill probably never be in a gun fight. But. Information is good to have
A 3 man team can be very effective, this looks like the perfect way to break contact for a small team.
Mike & Ike!
Mike, you make the trees look small! 😆
Great video, thank you for this instruction. What hearing protection do you recommend for this type of exercise? Thanks!
The guy in the beanie is Dusty from AFO Wolfpack irl
We need co-merch FieldCraft x GBRS 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Question..
How is that tree holding all 3 of you, plus 3 giant sets of steel balls?
You guys rock, would love to see a video on advanced violence delivery tactics, grazing fire and suppression and unique applications of such.
