The city barely has 2020 Explorers so these mustangs will be an Epic fail, Especially during the winter time. Imagine Public Safety driving these 🤣. All crashed withing hours

The Mustang Mach-E is an *AWD* Crossover SUV, literally *the best* vehicle for inclement weather dumbass. 😂
_Oh and the additional weight of the battery vs. a combustion engine helps with the traction 😂😂😂😂_

@@carsofqueens The ultimate test for these will be the NYC winters. Good luck to anyone trying to outrun these unless your in a tesla or 100k+ car.

Don't quote me on it because I'm not 100% sure if they all do, but those numbers on the roof being on the spoiler on this car is probably because of the full glass roof.
Done on the windshield was most likely from the vinyl shop after they finished the job so that they knew the car was ready to be picked up.

So I was watching this video of the new NYPD colors, and I noticed that the roof numbers are no longer on the roof on the utility either: czcams.com/video/NlC8_BdX38U/video.html

These cars don’t have glass roofs. They NYPD cars are outfitted with metal roofs.
“This is our first ever fully electric patrol vehicle. We picked this particular version for several reasons,” Inspector Scott Olexa, Commanding Officer of the Fleet Services Division told amNewYork Metro. “We wanted the extended battery range which the GT affords us. We wanted a hard metal roof for police work-God forbid something falls on top of the roof, we don’t want our officers to get hurt-it has a more robust electrical system to power the lights and sirens.”

After the first front end collision, they are done. Expensive fail.

As a chase car it will be great. As a patrol car, even with the big battery and even if the precinct has a Level III charger, it will have problems with range in the NY weather extremes.

nice!!! so far I've just seen one, one? maybe more as sanitation agent car with the orange and blue stripes, and before that I had seen an unmarked GT in black... this looks amazing, but I don't have much faith in new fords let alone their electric car engineering. OMG there are two of them!!! SO COOL!!!
I have a love hate relationship with the Nissan nv200s, much like I do with the crown vics... the seating position and mirrors, and the room for the passengers and driver, along with the integrated partition was excellent. it really was just the small things that they cheeped out on that made the Nissans bittersweet: no glow in the dark reflectors or lights on the cabin switches, no headlight indicator light on the dash, crap sliding windows for the passengers that could easily break and aren't big enough to stick one's head out of for projectiles, the throwback to the old "Skyview" glass roof would just create a massive glare on glare with sun refracting between that glass and the partition plexiglass, little tiny wheels with small axle parts, that slide out step for riders that would break half the time, and the interior lights in the cabin that would randomly turn on, also the 60/40 rear doors that put the back up camera off to the left.... but as I said, other than that, I'll miss them.. it was a great use of space, if only they actually cared about the driver during the build, we could've had something.

oh yeah, and the cup holders, omg!! what the hell were they thinking!!!??? I think I saw a regular nv200 had a cup holder right on the dash like a big transit van? well the taxicabs put the fricken cup holders all the way on the floor between the seats, and the seats.. the seats were fantastic, they were nice and high for a great driving position.. but in order to reach for your cup (which had to be surrounded by napkins in order to fit) you had to reach down to the point you could no longer see the road!! again!!! what ... the actual... f... and why such a big cup holder? we're not long haul truckers, all we drink is coffee, not 7-11 big gulps~~!

Perfect for city driving. Will save tons of gas. Charging stations in garages or lots where cars are keep. Police cars idle all the time wasting gas and using up the engine this takes that out of the equation.

As for specs I think these are better than the Teslas tbh, although I don't know a whole lot about them. As for the legroom, the chargers also have about a foot of legroom too. It looks alright, looks futuristic, I guess only time will tell if they'll be a good fit.

They're saving money on fuel with these. 110 city, 96 on highway. So I think it's gonna be a massive success, although it looks weak compared to their Explorer's with the huge grills. Now if Ford dropped a fully EV Explorer that would be lit.
