- We traveled down to Cottonwood Dragway in Alabama to catch JJs Arm Drop and this trip surely did not disappoint! There was tons of wild action all weekend and even though I went down to work the big end I got some amazing footage I normally wouldnt. The fans and racers came from all over to take a shot at JJ and crew on an ultra sketchy no prep surface. This race right here made me reconsider ever working the big end again as it seemed the cars just could not keep it together down there. Lots of adrenaline and great racing, but in the end only one was going home $10,000 richer!!

So many beautiful cars, it's really a shame and unfortian to see it happen. My heart felt sympathy goes out to all drivers that had bad luck with the wrecks, I know it's racing but it does suck to see it💯🤕, glad everyone was not injured, pride/ parts hurt but, it can be fixed to race another day 💯😀🏁

Every time the cars takeoff the camera guy will back up and point it down so we can't have the full race .

Man I thought my street was sketchy to run down until I saw this. That damn no prep track was rough dude. You can literally see at the 300 foot mark how bad that strip was

I’m the cameraman. It has something to do with cars going over 100mph and nothing but a cheesy guardrail between us. One of the cars hit so hard that it exploded my tripod for the finish line cam into pieces. I was expecting one of them mofos to come over that rail and it would hurt

Arm drop has been the way to start races since the start of street racing if memphis knew all the time they would be winning and no one would want to race that way. you new guys don't have a clue. I've been around street racing since I was a kid and the first time I saw a flashlight used is on Street Outlaws even the show Pinks used arm drop because that's been the way since day one.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know what was wrong with the track that night heavy dew then later fog at 1200 foot, the track was slick as glass and everybody was wet so what track and I mean what track wouldn't go to shit after that
I think this racing is totally unfair off the line, everyone seems to leave when they want and don’t get disqualified for leaving way before the starter even drops his arm.

people say Obama set racism back 50 yrs in this country. Well, JJ is doing the same to drag racing. I used to hang out at the local track when I was a teenager. There were no electronics, christamas tree, finish lights, or scoreboard. A person flagged and a person told who won. This arm drop BS is a disgrace to the sport. If you leave early, you lose. That's the way it's always been. It's just another way for memphis to cheat.

this reminds why nitrous was outlawed in finland back in the day.finnish rally car drivers world best that they are,couldn t handle nitrous assisted rally cars on the streets and several death incidents happened.in sweden they allowed it and in mid 90 s swedes came over the pond and totally humiliated yankees in street car drags held in orlando called worlds street car champs or similar.
Has nothing to do with nitrous, only being overpowered for the track, very easy to do without it....
@@jax9074 nothing to do with nitrous?extra power derived from nitrous comes very quickly and just adds to the launch shock and losing traction.nitrous affects how your powerband looks like etc.of course you can overpower the track without nitrous but with nitrous it s even easier and more likely.its like one dude who said that laws of physics has nothing to do with drag racing.
I am old school and just can't get it in my head that 1/8 of a mile is a race . An a rolling race is not a race at all . If you can't get it to hook up then your knowledge is lacking .
