i had people telling me to take my video down for being hateful and reporting(not ok). Royale high community, this is immature behavior. criticism is required for any media you can think of. i need to make this clear that in no part in the video did i ever slander or send any hate or foul intentions to anybody, nor royale high. i need to be clear on the stance that royale high needs change to successfully grow now. its time for them (royale high devs) to listen to the community.
In the community a lot of them are literaly kids who doesn't understand criticism.. and yes criticism sometimes can be harsh but its still important it will make the game better, People need to understand that we give opinions/criticism bcuz we care and want the game to do better.
im an og portal room mermaid tail era player who quit in the repeat/no update era like last year or two years ago, and i can tell you whole heartedly, this game had charm and a real feeling you had playing it once. and now that feeling is gone. oh cool! i got some diamonds or a shiny new set of earrings! big whoop.
like and i was a boy too, ive been here since before the royale high twinks and jakes as well. and im straight and cis to add on to it. this game truly fell from grace, and whenever i get on it i judt dont feel happy at all. i dont even care about getting a halo anymore because i have tried for years since the feature came out but some new 2024 january player comes and they win like 5. not to mention NEVER getting items in the wheel anymore nor my dream item. what truly ruined it was the shitty trading economy feature, and the removal of anything "legacy" which you should make a video on
and also, the game lost sight of what it truly was: a roleplay dress up game. now its a bunch of weirdos freaking out because the "value" of a pixelated corset went down a few billion diamonds. and diamonds too! it just wasnt easy for casual players just wanting fun, it has to be a huuuuuge grind for months if that

I used to be obsessed with RH, made sure to finish school on time, jours on end with leveling, and farming, etc. Role-playing, there are so many things I've enjoyed, now it's boring, and when a new phase comes, I'm like, "ok cool," and head to play games outside of roblox, (started playing gacha games, or other dress up games) It feels like I grew out of the game. I had fun with the game I grew up with. I've been slowly growing out of roblox as a whole and felt like a long roller-coaster ngl. Great video.

I still play Royale High because it reminds me of when I was younger (10-11) and playing Royale high. It’s definitely not the same and definitely changed, but some of the stuff is still there, it just got a glow up.
I found 2 games that made me stay on roblox lol those games were Dress to Impress and The Mystical Guardians(this ones a gacha game and farming for currency is actually not that grindy and doesnt even look like roblox reminds me so much of the old Royale high a little bit)
The rebranding part was what made me super upset, opening royal high hurts my eyes now because everything is so pastel and just way too decorated.

i love the colors. but i miss the simpler design and times. i also miss enchantix high and fantasia hotel. it sucks they got removed. i made so many friends and would roleplay all the time. now, i have moved on, but i still play rh just for sunset island bc i still see a lot of nice things going on. i just miss the old times tbh.

- i played rh for 4 years and i managed to get a halo FROM AN ART COMMISSION. all “rich items” i have wasnt from farming but commissions and endless giveaways i joined.
- bought all gamepasses, farmed for sooo long and many hours (to the point I GOT SCREEN TIME.) just for me to not even own all sets in games.
- lost many friends over this game, ridiculous
- yet im still holding onto the thought that this game will improve and its that princesse game that hits the spot for me in my heart.
- had a mental breakdown when i lost my 321 streak in game ???

I've played RK2 and Astro Renaissance before, and I'm not saying that they're dogsht games, but I felt as if they couldn't compare to how fun Royale High used to be. Despite how dystopian, toxic, and laggy/glitchy Royale High has become, I still play it all the time. I wish the game would get sold to devs that would take actual good care of Royale High and that hopefully they would reverse some updates that massively disappointed the community, like the removal of the Campus 2 diamond locations.

i’m not sure if anyone remembers this, but one of my favorite events that royale high did was for easter in 2017-2018?? it was when you would go to clothing stores and stuff like that and look for eggs, it definitely helped people get noticed by a lot of users, and it was unique but obviously they got lazy and decided to repeat the same event over and over after… they had so much potential, i just wish they would listen to their player base

omg!! i remember these too, i think they also had a halloween event similar to this? i don’t remember for which year, but these used to be so fun!! everyone would get together and help complete mazes or searches together :) i miss it so much!!

Some royale high discord servers have roleplay channels where people can join royale high roleplay servers/groups. If you'd like to find people to roleplay with, I highly recommend this method!

Royale high is not in any way newbie friendly. It's genuinely sad because I'm sure a lot of people would love to play but probably get turned off because of how everyone else already knows how to play and the community is still pretty toxic(usually though, the players are pretty friendly if you go up and talk to them in game, it's mostly just social media). Not to mention how long it takes to get anything in the game.
@@tabitharust304 Exactly, and most noobs start with one quest slot only, and if they get any quest such as the study sesh or any quest related where you have to purchase an item they will literally not be able to do that quest and they'd have to wait like an hour for them to have a chance on gaining diamonds

It went from 70k players to
7k cc players and its only gonna go down as things get pricier and pricier and pricier until they’re just too much.. even though I quit years community was so nice, not rude or grindy everyone WANTED to roleplay and talk with others we were completely hyped for the updates and new sets.
I quit about 3-4 years ago, everything was getting expensive EVEN THEN I would offer my entire inventory for 1 item and it would still not be enough. Removing enchantix was the worst decision they could’ve ever made and it SHOULD be reverted..
fr removing Enchantix and the hotel was the worst decision those were the only places people would still roleplay, and the copyright excuse is so stupid. So you are telling me you can years making a school that is not even finished but you can't change the winx images and add copyright-free music? I bet that would take less time and people would probably still play the game in those areas.

oh babe you understood it wrong. barbie cannot JUST "revert" enchantix high. thats not easy. Enchantix was based off winx and had copyrighted stuff in there, and barbie could literally have her life put in danger and her husbands just for someones entertainment. She could get sued for over 150k$ dollars for copyright infrigment if Enchantix and Hotel werent removed. Besides, they were old and outdated.

I use to play RH back in the day when the mermaid tails were available,I’d just screw around with my best friend and we’d watch random girls fight over some basic boy. I miss those days,now everyone’s grinding and no one’s role playing,and I feel so weird playing it now because I feel like I don’t belong anymore
i was never really into it, only when i was a kid. i made this video with one month of experience in the new royale high. its hard, its not the same at all and so expensive. they can release "roleplay features" all they want, but it doesnt change the fact that the whole point of the game is to make money. ive been trying to get into royale high after making this video to understand better and because i do like the game. but its so frustrating nobody listens to the actual problem(money) and now theyre adding roleplay features which will not be utilized because the structure of the game is MAKE MONEY. 😩😩

I think an important thing to note is that Royale High themselves has made it virtually impossible to roleplay. They removed the two places that were still filled with roleplay and they replaced it with campus three, which teleports you to a new server every time you enter a different room. Even if you were to find roleplayers, if you aren’t friends, you’d lose them the minute you went to your dorm, or the bathing quarters, or the courtyard, or anywhere. The loading screens are tedious and it makes roaming around the school impossible and annoying. the experience doesn’t feel like you’re in this big school that you can explore because you have to wait for your screen to be done loading to enter any other room or spot in the palace. I get that it’s a big game and it helps prevent lag, but the earlier games never needed this. You can’t talk with your friends in chat if they’re in the dorm and you’re in the courtyard, because you’re in different servers. Ntm the school isn’t even finished, many of the important rp features haven’t even been implemented yet. Or they’re behind a paywall (like being a counselor, for example). Hell, up until recently, there was only one class! And it might’ve been the most boring mini game I’ve ever played on roblox.

some games dont need too much rebranding, rebuilding or upgrades. they just need bug fixes and building, that was royal high. new sets every so often and maybe a few new places on the map would have been fine. now the whole game is different, you might not even know what to do (i have been playing for so long and now i dont even know what im supposed to do). the UI is so differently styled, everything is too bright. the new school is so laggy and useless. the nostalgia i had when seeing the old rh game hit hard

I even have a hard time playing the game nowadays with graphics turned all the way down. ... That probably says something about my computer it's pretty old but rip mobile users as well, you think a game like royale high would be able to optimize its space more for low end devices? So more people can play? I know they are trying their best, but there is already SO MUCH stuff in the game and they keep adding more and there aren't very many options to have the game run better
I miss the old royale high so much :( i tried to revisit rh now and it just doesn't feel the same anymore. I miss when it was just a simple fun magical game instead of a game where you just have to grind all the time.
Also EEW I just hate what they did for the toggles and dress up menu overall you have to go back into the dress up menu every time you wanna change the toggle and it's good for a ton of customization but it can be a LOT- 😅 the dress up menu is also kind of unorganized, and at this point there are so many faces, so many hairstyles, and SO MANY patterns and clothing it is so hard to find one that works for you. Sometimes I wish there were less options(or maybe.. pages to sort the different categories? That would be easier to organize, I think. And they definitely need to add more labels to sort everything more efficiently)

Exchantix was especially special to me since we could pick our own element, and I loved being the earth and fire fairy. Everyone was just doing their own thing, and their avatars looked nice. I still remember the mermaid tails
this state of royale high is so bad i wanna cry, im not even kidding.. and this sounds so stupid but who wants to go to a server and roleplay or smth. cause im literally begging for nostalgia rn and the roleplays back then made me so happy, it was why i even played the game. now its all farming and grinding...i have 100k dims. but all that would get me would be like 1 pair of heels. i remember when i first joined royale high i used to roleplay and do funny stories without thinking it could be lost so simply. now all my friends are gone, or in a bad state, or maybe all they do is just grinding. its not the same. but im too scared to say anything because its 2024. who roleplays these days? i mean, one time i joined royale high campus 2 and found a few new players roleplaying and i joined their roleplay.. it was so cute and fun but that was the last time i ever really experienced happiness in royale high..

its so sad for me, I grew up with Roblox i remember i never felt the need to buy robux or even ask for it. I could enjoy the games without feeling like i needed to spend money. I grew up with Royale High, JailBreak, Speed Run 4, and other games around 2018-2019. I love Royale High as a kid and i still do, I remember Role-playing and actually making friends in the game, and not because of the VC or because of Discord communities. Farming before was never really my objective, but literally just having fun. I remember seeing the first video that got me into it, Enchantix High as the game that was being played and even if it wasnt so detailed like campus 2 or even campus 1 i enjoyed it so so much. Now all I do on Royale High is farm up to 5-6 hours only to barely get 7k diamonds(without multipliers). Its honestly sad seeing myself get bored with a game i loved so much i just wish players would interact more, other than just spamming "Study sesh?" in the chat, and just lowering the prices atleast 30% down. Anyways i know a lot wont read this but Royal High is one of my favorite games ever, i still find myself going into it even if its just to farm which kinda saddens me since theres basically no updates (ik their allegedly working on campus 4), and if there is the sets that come with it are like 100-200k i like thats just plain crazy kids arent supposed to play that long, like its so hard to play without multipliers it just saddens me that the new gen of kids that play Roblox wont get to experience actual enjoyment.

Literally TRIED to RP with my friend however the community is so judgemental and rude that I had to go to a private server just to get things done and be left alone. However, I've at least FINALLY found new little kids joining the game again and rping just as the school was once intended for and it genuinely warms my heart. I always try my best to help them navigate the game and make the community better bc it is disheartening to see what RH is now.
i havent seen an rp for a while. i remember always playing enchantix high and fantasia getaway and making friends and having fun. same for old rh. i still play rh sunset island sometimes cuz i still see some wholesome interactions. ive still continued to rp and in some servers, others would join cuz i found out they greatly missed it. oh, and i also encountered some likely young kids who were rping and they welcomed me and i helped them throughout the game. one of the most wholesome moments ive had for a while. oh and removing enchantix high and fantasia hotel was the worst decision ever.
I miss the mermaid tail because now it is just a "fairy roleplay" instead of a fairy and mermaid game. The fact that they still haven't removed the mermaid section in the dress-up is so bizarre to me. They removed the only two places where you could still find roleplays, and they still haven't fixed issues that we have been complaining about for years!.

This is exactly why I stopped playing Royal High. While the game is drop dead gorgeous, everything is too expensive, and I don't have the time, nor do I want to spend hours of every day farming on a game for a pair of shoes, when I could be doing something more productive.

I joined Royale High during the original enchantix era, Updates to the game were about excitement and how the players can enjoy it. Yes items were expensive but if you worked hard you could earn something. What I find with the new school is it looks pretty but they havent added much fun playability in things like classes and enjoyable content like balls the original games had. Its boring and only about toxic trading now.

i used to play royale high so much to the point where my mornings and evenings were always fun (i started in 2019 of december), at first i was hesitant because yk im a male and i grew up in a homophobic environment so i trashed on it. in 2020 of january i tried playing it secretly and well i enjoyed it so much. i didnt have the need to get these or that i was having fun with the free clothes, hair, and my treasure satchel with the rp name ~ Conny ~ 16 ~ Member of the Bad Owls Club. royale high has taught me so much growing up royale high taught me how to love, how to make friends and how to dress up with style. the game is the reason why the pandemic era was so memorable to me. i also found my lifelong friends there who are still with me up until now after 4 years of meeting. every day and night id hop onto royale high and just yk go to school try and win the prom, make some friends act like you’re superior than everyone else bcs u unlocked trading (xd) oh the times. now its just “get this for 300k diamonds and get no updates for 2 years” core. idk if its just me growing up now that im 15 and i used to play royale high when i was 11 up until i was 14. royale high needs to step up their game for their newer players and make it feel the exact same for kids growing up in 2024 similar to the vibe that the kids (like me) were getting in 2020. hope u guys get my point 😓🤍

Helppp I also started playing rh in December of 2019 the game was full of rp back then, but like a weeks after the trading hub came out everything changed
I remember how I used to play Royale high EVERYDAY. I would even roleplay by myself. I recall how the Christmas updates were my favorite, but now everything seems so dead.
You join a server now, and the chats almost completely empty.
Me and my best friend would always troll roleplayers when we were bored, but they're just gone now.
I belive a partial reason for this is, yes, growing up.
But the amount of money that you need to get for simple heels or a skirt are too much, it's too much. New players can't even get stuff unless they grind endlessly for months and months.
Royale High has lost it's spark.
I used to love doing that windows hack in regular dorms. I’m would fly around and troll role players but the fun just went away.

As an ex rh CZcamsr, this is honestly so sad to see. The community used to be filled with wholesomeness but it’s become toxic. Those Christmas and Halloween seasonal updates were the most sought after events but now they are repetitive and boring. I wish I could see the rh community thrive again but it’s hard to even believe it will ever get better 🥹💔
Something else you forgot to mention is its absolute lack of inclusivity for males. As a masc person myself, I tried to play Royale High because I love roleplaying just to be disappointed because all the custom male bodies were twink body types that looked identical to the female body types. Not to mention that the arms would always break whenever I tried on any of these body types…There are limited masc faces, there are limited masc clothes, and there are limited masc hairs…Literally even the map itself is clearly catering towards girls and more feminine people in general, which sucks because I personally am not a fan of it and would love to use my characters in a more dark setting.
When I think of this convo dress to impress comes to mind. The body for the men is all slouched and not cute at all. The faces are chad alpha male esque. The clothes are sparse. It’s so stupid to me.

i feel like the game should have a mode where you can select the school colour for yourself. that way they can still cater to their main audience- which is girls- whilst still meeting the guys needs. and yeah the way they erased the male body type in the game is kinda weird considering its meant to be inclusive??
Omg I remember watching you on the Astro Renaissance video, but I couldn't comment as I was on a school Chromebook, but everything said here is so true. Like I joined Royale High around 2020 and I feel like people actually roleplayed and did stuff back then, and also it was a lot less toxic. Then around March 2020 Nightbarbie released trading hub and I could tell the game was going to be changed with this. I noticed when trading came out a lot of people started making halo charts and that also caused halos to fluctuate in price as they have now. I remember playing the game too with my old friends and just having fun. We didn't care if we weren't high enough level for beta testing, trading, or doing profit trading, it was just about having fun. Only those who had actually time to farm would do so, but there wasn't much pressure in leveling up ang grinding (unlike now). You can even see the change with the leader boards the highest-level players. It used to be around 15k - 10k, which was mlpandwinxfairypony and still is, and some other people (I forgot the names). But now she is up to level 70k in only 2 years when before she would only level around 2k around every 2-3 months. You could tell the change even effected the leaderboard as leveling up became more serious for them too. It's like she knew this would all happen, so she had made all these new game passes out and ready for everyone spend to make herself money. Also, I forgot to add she makes a ton off of premium payout too (which is when your premium and whenever you join the game you give the developer 1 robux, which can really add up over time) and how long people play her game, as if you didn't know the longer you play a Roblox developers game the more money you are giving (especially if you are premium), which is why the simulators on Roblox are so addictive now on Roblox, it's to keep you on their game as long as possible.
Edit: Even if RH actually died right now and stopped having players, she still already made millions off the game, so she is set work free for some years.

It sucks how the route RH is going. Because I now don't even try and get my dream items, etc. Especially since I'll be an adult this year, school, specifically maybe going to art school (I'm going to an art place to study to get a glimpse of what my potential career path leads me).
Back on topic: I've slowly cared less about the updates RH gets (the same-old new hair, colors etc.) I don't even know what would come up with RH in 10 years or so. RH's exterior and interior look beautiful, I was at least 10 or a little older when I learned and became obsessed every day, even gotten better with math (3 months to get a million diamonds). I remember slacking off, or stressing over RH for being unable to obtain an item from the winter event. Now thst I'm 17 I just been focusing on school, my future art career, part time job soon, learning to drive, basically I got a life to live through, but now I've been playing other decent games, yet I fear I might repeat the obsession I had as a child.
I’ve always thought the trading hub messed up royale high a bit. Just like how I used to play adopt me but stopped playing when the pets** came out. It’s the same thing.
RH used to be about living in a magical fantasy and school that almost every little girl wanted where everyone wanted to be on time for classes, win prom, make friends and being able to enjoy this fantasy life. But now everyones competing and constantly trying to get the newest sets of clothes by spending hours and hours of afk farming or just dumping thousands of robux to trade for these sets, it seems like no ones really happy anymore. RH kinda lost its magic of being a fantasy land and became a game of showing off clothes and cosmetics, which really males me sad because as a little child RH was like my getaway to spend time with friends to role-play but now its just about how many clothes you have.
I used to be excited to finish online school just to play royale high. Ever since those changes were made, royale high lost its magic. Nowadays, it feels boring, and just empty... When the Hunt came out, i was dedicated to get every item and spent hours upon hours playing it, and I was so frustrated by all these cashgrab games, that when the event ended, I felt myself slowly growing out roblox.

ive grown out of roblox slightly, but i got my friends to make it joyful. ive definitely grown out of rh but i still play sunset island here and there. nowadays, im playing a bit of minecraft, writing a book online and also playing games on ps5 with my dad.

yes!! I'm so mad at traderie at times because things that used to have actual value are reduced to useless items that you try so hard to sell off 1/2
and when you look on traderie it's littered with scammers and those who just want 9 mil diamonds to sell the newest halo

atp i dont think the devs and barbie takes the game seriously anymore, they take way too long to release new updates, overprice things for no reason, and they never listen to what the players wants for them to improve. thats why a lot of people quit.. it has become into another cash grab game where they just dont care about anything else other than money

I think people really need to begin to realize RH has become a cashgrab, it’s not just the multipliers that raised prices in the stores, but it’s also because these game passes and the diamond store is the only way that RH can make money- my guess is that when the playerbase went down they just lowered the value of diamonds so people would be forced into buying them using money :/
they know they will still have players who will keep farming diamonds and trading for halos, so i guess since that guarantees players and people getting multipliers they dont see the point :/
I doubt that Barbie even cares about her own game anymore. I have no idea how she still tolerates Launce as the co-owner of RH despite him being a racist and ableist scumbag. Plus the dev team is soooo out of touch with the community. No matter how much people have convinced them, they'll still refuse to listen to their community, own up their mistakes and actually change. Barbie used to be so passionate about working on RH, but now she doesn't really care about her game anymore. And rocket Launcher will still continue to be a dork.
Stuff gets severely expensive because RH expects you to spend more time on the game and spend robux on gamepasses so they can profit off you. They don't realise that doing so will only cause more players to quit the game. At this point RH has become a pay to win cashgrab, it is impossible to play normally unless you spend money on it, plus multipliers are a complete scam right now

as someone who played RH since 2017 it really makes me so sad how they ruined the game. i used to be on the top 100 level leaderboard in 2019 when divinia first came out (not the park) and i had over 2M diamonds at the time, it was really rare at that time to be rich in the game because most people only knew how to farm diamonds through leveling, which is what i did as well. imo the fall of rh began on the 2022 dewdrop springs update when they removed the diamond locations in the new school that was released in 2018, that's really the only effective farming method and especially since how they removed it after trading got released and with the inflation of the sets it didn't make it better either, i quit completely after that update because there was no point if the main point of the game was no longer to rp and dress up but to buy rare items and seasonal sets, which they literally made it harder to do so by removing the diamond locations in the rh campus 2, and they didn't even lower the price of the sets and trading inflation still stayed the same. i then came back to check out the new campus, and i was so disappointed as when it released you could barely do anything, and they released it in waves (which i thought was a good idea at first but the amount of "content" that they talked about having with the new campus was just so little to what i was expecting) they should have never released it in waves, not to mention the mechanic of having to load into the other parts of the castle which is so annoying because if you want to go to a different part of the castle you can't just walk in, you have to wait 10-15sec for it to teleport you to the designated part of the castle. and when i found out that you could decorate your lockers and dorm rooms i thought "oh! this is so cute!" and then i looked at the prices. who is even able to afford that after removing the diamond locations? through leveling? because it's just ridiculous and it's honestly so sad how i grew up with this game and it turned into this.
I hear you, I was also on the leaderboard back in 2019 and even though I got stressed out by it (it was a personal thing), the game was just so much better as whole and I want to cry Everytime in think of 2018 and 2019 Royale High. Hell, even 2020, when many of the issues that are present today started to arise, it still felt better than it does now. I miss the online friends I made four years ago and I'll always remember the memories. We'd level up in my farming server, talk, collect diamonds and attend classes. It was the light of my life during the pandemic and so much fun. I love some of the newer sets and accessories in the game, but I miss the actual gameplay and especially Enchantix High and the Fantasia hotel. Sometimes I'll play a little ever now and then, but I'll mostly go to Campuses 1 and 2 to chill out, dress up, go to classes and do some people watching. Sorry for the long comment, I just really miss the old Royale High. It was the only game I played on Roblox for years and I was proud to be one of the highest level players. Then they removed the effective farming routines, older items and maps and the game was just ruined.

I remember first playing Royal high in 2017. It was amazing not only because it was a fun game and not everyone was stressing about getting certain things, but also because there was a community and moderation full of developers who seemed to care. I’m a rich player, but I stopped playing for about a year because the game got boring.
I joined back one day and realized I was banned from the trading hub. Why? Because a few months ago I gave 250k to my friends and random players for free because of how expensive things were. I reached out to moderation and they said I was exploiting. I stopped playing the game after that forever. If I can’t even help other players get things that they want then I’m sure the devs don’t care about that either.
How an they insinuate you were exploiting because you gave your own currency in-game over to others? How is that even exploiting... :( so sad.

RH have really, and I mean REALLY bad customer service. You get falsely banned from the game and when you try to reach out for their support email, they never really respond to your email. If you're lucky, they will unban you, but it takes AGES, like literal WEEKS. Unless that you're fortunate, they basically just ghost your email like it's nothing. There's one time players on the leaderboard get falsely banned for no apparent reason yet RH still did nothing to resolve this

Honestly the only reason I still play is because I was one of those lucky ones who never stopped playing and had a decent amount of diamonds and items to get by. Everything is so expensive and somehow having 500k diamonds is still considered poor in this economy.
i really miss enchantix. i wish we could still visit the old school, everyone just focuses on farming and buying items now

I usually am prideful of the fact I use the default bodies available in the body type menu to give my characters unique clothes or appearances! It was always fun early on to show others how to pop off with the right tools if they got creative with it. Whenever I join RH now though, it feels as if people now see "oh you don't have this designer set" or "hahah you made a character that isn't a actual toothpick"! That and between the sensory overload all the menus are, I've essentially given up with the exception of photoshoots or OC assembly. Had to make one of my D&D cast characters (who was originally a RH OC) a entirely separate thing given nobody roleplays anymore!! It's so sad...

i recently played royale high because i hadnt played it in over a year and wanted to see how the game was doing.. i checked out the new school and it was like a ghost town. I managed to joke around in chat with one person but that didnt last long. i didnt see a single person roleplaying at all. i tried to goof around and start some actual fun in the servers because it was so empty but that barely worked. tho, i do think the story mode thing is pretty cool. ive played royale high for over 4 years so ive experienced the old roleplays people would do and how fun it was. It sucks that you almost never see that anymore.
i miss the charm of the old items and skirts, they were simple, but they were really cute. I also miss when people would actually roleplay in the royale high school, now you have to ask to roleplay
the new rh is so overwhelming, i grew up playing 2018-2019 rh and literally nothing is the same. it's only fun to play if you already have friends (because lets be real most people aren't that nice) or if you login in for nostalgia. even then its not very nostalgic because they got rid of well over 45% of the old game. anyway, amazing job on this video!! new sub

I use to love royal high, but it was probably one of the most safest places for predators. The amount of pdos and toxic people ruined the fun of royal high ruined my experience playing the game. I realized all the time I had spent farming in sunset island went to nothing and I had wasted and put so much into a game that ended up failing.
player from 2020 here. when i played royale high on my chromebook the first time, i LOVED IT. it used to be a place where i could chat with friends and roleplay in general. that same year, i remember when i bought my first pair of wings for *3,000 diamonds.* FOR WINGS. i still play the game now. when you compare 2018 or 2020 to 2024 i'm just thinking "what the heck happened to this game." when i heard that people wanted the game to be sold to someone else, i was like "BUT WHAT IF IT'S NOT AS GOOD AS IT USED TO BE?!?!" but after watching this video, it made me realize that so much people care about this game and might be willing to make it better. so now i don't care if it gets sold. one thing is for sure that Nightbarbie is ignorant when it comes to this game.

before i wasnt interested in royale high but nowadays ive seen rps made with royale high. i wanted to do it too but seeing the skirts costing up to 30k, and even some of the accessories to 6k, i kinda just quit after my first day playing. i can see why people are quitting now
Honestly, i started losing interest when trading came out. I don't think it's trading that ruined the game but you could tell that they stopped taking care of the game after it released. We didn't have an actual update for a 2 whole years after trading released then they randomly decided to build a new school. The player count is so low these days, I think it's a combination of people losing interest in the game and roblox declining in active players as a whole. Even the top games don't have that much players that they used to, especially during summer. Adopt me use to have nearly 300k active players and not it's rare to even see it pass the 100k mark. I've quit royale high as a whole but I still occassionally play other roblox games like bloxburg or mm2. I spend most my gameplay outside of roblox now and play games like genshin
I loved roleplaying. I loved making new characters out of hundreds of available clothes, faces, hairs, and colors. I remember most of my characters, i remember all the time i spent in campus 1. I remember getting to know my roomates, i remember chatting during lunch, i remember getting pissed over never winning prom lol. Campus 2 was nice, it felt smaller. Still perfect, although a little empty, i loved 2's prom. And then i waited. I came and went from the game for years, sunset island was an amazing game, although at that point, it was heavily dependant on what you actually had. Grinding always bored me, but that was the fun of going to class and roleplaying, you didnt have to go out of your way to get diamonds. Time still passed. I miss the hunting games where youd go and find eggs or candies around homestores, those were always so fun and challenging, too bad nobody uses homestores anymore. They made the apartments. Looking back at it now, the apartments were useless. I can understand them being a spawn point to reduce lag, but it did the opposite of reduce lag. Revamped christmas, divinia park, the beachhouses, at that point they lost track of what the game was about. Waited for like, 4 years? School 3 came out. I was so happy. For like 20 minutes. And then i realized that all this time the devs werent actually working, all the screenshots, all the promises, its was all gone. They destroyed the point of the game, their horribly designed castle ruined it. I just wanted more customization. I just wanted to be able to make better characters, I wanted skirts and heels that id never achieve, grinding wasnt what i wanted.

Goes for the same for the fluttering butterfly and enchantress outfit (kinda forgot what it was named) one day i was bored and decided to play royal high, when i joined the game it apologized to me and gave me 150k+ diamonds, clearly i had no idea what to do since number one i was cosplaying as a boy number two i was only playing for fun and nothing interesting was on the shop
So, i went to the artclass instead, basically it was guess the artwork thing
Everyone was writing the answers on the whiteboard just for exp points, really unfair and cheating.
Oh, yeah back in the day (around 2023) my ex male friend was playing these games so whenever i play it, bad memories appear in my mind again.
And, for those deleted outfits, i had royal enchantress sleeves, and fluttering butterfly heels and sleeves, adds up to around 150k
royale high was one of my fav childhood roblox games and it’s sad to see more games fall down like this :(

I used to play Royal High every now and then with friends, but now I don't really want to play at all. It just gets exhausting every time I start to play to get more diamonds, and I have no intentions on spending that much money on one game either. I only play maybe two or three times a year now at most.
the use of the old rh soundtrack brought back so many good memories of when i would roleplay by myself and with all my friends on an xbox party.. It was the best.. 💔
i cant lie, i really appreciate the memories that i've been able to make on this game, i remember being soo judgemental of it at first (around 2019/20) but then my friend forced me to play it with her and i was hooked, we played together almost everyday after school and we had so much fun dressing up, roleplaying, her teaching me how to trade and ofc sunset island, it was just a really nice way to relax and i remember us getting super excited over hearing that a new school might be coming out but it took so long that by the time it came out we didn't talk as much anymore and had stopped playing the game lol
I remember I got the Halloween halo with a ghost on it, and then I didn’t know what to do and just quit. Because there wasn’t anything more. And then I started realizing how much of a nightmare games like royale high are, where they have a rarity and trading system that’s never ending, confusing, and wayyy too expensive. I was especially burnt out during the years when the new school was in development since we would get absolutely NOTHING. No new sets or items, nothing. So I just had nothing to do. And just eventually stopped.
I think the idea of “old royale high is better” is dumb, because no, it wasn’t. The graphics were so bad and role playing was more or less the same emo girl with a secret who liked Jake story. You don’t miss royale high, you miss being happy. And you miss when royale high wasn’t so capitalistic.
Also I think there’s a thing called premium payout (or something), where developers earn money by how long you stay in the game. So, that might explain why farming is so tedious and why the devs are doing nothing about it.
I can’t be seen missing this game, bc I managed to run It off my roblox continue playing tab, and like, there’s nothing for me there anymore , it got so boring,
Rh died the moment the super mario galaxy observatory theme 3 was removed , that was the games essence . I forget the issues to why the game died and everyone is distancing themselves, but I can’t go back, it’s not worth it

sure, their gonna release a campus 4 for roleplayers but lets be real its probably gonna be really dead. moreover, the game is so so time consuming and need so much time to get money to buy things and needing to soend money to fasten the pace.
also, their issue with not listening to the fanbase. still no fixing with their cherry blossom set which was very inaccurate, and the masculine player fanbase asking for the older male body version on new accessories

I had some fun memories in royale high but now looking back I realize how much unecessary time I waisted on it when I was 10-11
-Even with all of the diamond multipliers and fast flying it would take me a week to get to a million diamonds…and keep in mind that I wouldn’t do anything else besides eat and go to the bathroom.. I can’t IMAGINE how long it would take for new players to get even ONE set item…stuff here is WAAAY too overpriced.
-I remember crying over people being richer than me all the time and constantly wanting stuff, and feeling inferior to other players always, and it only got to the point I couldn’t even rp or play games because I’d only care about being rich and felt hopeless. And when I was around 13 I finally realized in my head “why the hell do I play this game if I get so stressed over it” and I really never touched it after that.
It’s makes me so sad because despite those huge reasons I use to have so much fun with my friends I made with them, we had our own little group…and now we are disbanded. I only really have kept with contact with one of my friends and we still talk to this day but most of them even if I have contact with we hardly ever message each other. I honestly miss the old days and I kind of hate was rh has become. (My old username was stargamer247power btw if u remember playing with me than don’t b afraid to say hiiii 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹)

it's soo sad how this is what roblox is becoming :( i used to play royale high all the time but i was always grinding and spent hours a day on the game 😅 the only way i got a halo was by trading a set i bought with THOUSANDS of robux! i thankfully stopped playing after that. it's terrible that they won't listen to their community. bloxburg did something similar (lower job pay + more bills) and isn't even considering their community's frustration and suggestions. developers need to stop letting greed take over their games and listen to their players

I 100% agree with this, as a player that has been playing full time since late 2017 to now, it has honestly gotten so bad with the increase in prices for things. I am a 2023 graduate and for someone who was already struggling in school from an incredibly young age, joining the royale high community at a time where i was just entering high school, I didn't think it would effect me as much as it did. I will be honest, part of it was my fault but, I am a collector in the game which means, I spent and still spend a lot of time grinding diamonds just so I can reach ends meet with the new updates and overly priced sets that are coming out and if I am only just making enough to get the new things, I cannot imagine how hard it is for new players. I think Royale High is definitely not beginner friendly in any way possible and it has gotten incredibly boring with all of the trading and farming. I personally don't trade often but, going in there and seeing the people that are just decked out in halos and over priced items, they become very very selfish and egotistical. I really hope Royale High decides to look into their players opinions and recommendations more so that we can bring back the fun side of it.

unpopular opinion: I *HEAVILY* dislike Royale High’s remodel. I used to play back when Meep City, Jailbreak, Natural Disaster, Flood Escape, and Bake a Cake were popular. I remember the mermaid tails and the magical music while you played, around 2017-2018. Im a lot older now, and honestly have no interest in gaming anymore. I tried to play Roblox, but no joy comes out of it anymore. Probably cause I lost interest, of course, and have more academics to focus on now but still. But when I saw this video, it brought so much nostalgia. What has this amazing game turned into??

I used to always play, until it just got less fun and a little overwhelming in a way, with overpriced sets, halos, and dorm furniture.
for me. it's the fact that child me never wanted to quit royale high. i joined in 2018 and it was by far the most fun i'd ever had playing roblox. it felt authentic, i was addicted. fr i remember getting my first skirt and i ran over to my mum say "look look i got my first ever skirt!!!". the game had this childhood joy to it. i think with modern royale high i feel too embarrassed to role play, i feel like my outfit isn't good enough or isn't valuable, i feel like my diamond count is too low. at first i was more worried for royale high, but then i just started to get angry at the game. "how could they be so careless, do they even want the game to be fun?!"
i've quit now and i'm still sad about it. but i think it was just a game i really liked when i was 10, and i should probably just move on.

I used to play royale high so much! But now after the new school came, I haven’t really been playing much. I really hope they bring back the old royale high
im not trying to be picky and rude but ever since the new campus rh got boring and there was nothing entertaining to to anymore. There is barely any roleplaying, and when i do roleplay people find it cringe like I'm sorry I'm not skibidi ohio whatever. items have gotten way too expensive meanwhile they move the diamond locations making it harder to grind than ever, not to forgot how some of the items that you buy and when they go off sale they lose value making is less than the original price. i used to be obsessed with rh but now i barely play it anymore due to the lack of content and things.

I stopped playing royale high for its new schools and removement . I started playing in late 2019 . Not very much role plays but they were still a thing, and many people still role played and made stories. But now royale high is about sets, farming, and the new school. The new school is so bad to the point mobile players can’t even play the game. They get kicked out after 5-30 minutes as I heard from many mobile players, which is very unfair to people who bought many game passes and spent way too much robux on it. Coming from me, who spent 3-4k robux on royale high, because it was my favorite game. But now I can’t be in that game for 10 minutes because I get kicked out because my memory was too low. Mind you I had 40gb out of 65. Personally,I think that’s enough to play a “role play game” if you can even call it that anymore, Barbie saw how much the game grew, gaining population. So she used it to her advantage to make actual money of it, which is sad. Because royale high had so much potential, but Barbie broke it just to make $$ which really is upsetting but clearly Barbie had fun making royale high, but now I feel like it’s a side hustle for her, which basically means she doesn’t really care about it no more. But clearly, she stills wants money. So that’s probably why they still update, for money. Not a shocker coming from Barbie, honestly I hope Barbie removes the new campus and scrap the new campus they are making, because many people dislike the new campus, and maybe just maybe Barbie can make a island inspired by enchantix, (I’m sorry I forgot how to spell it lol) and make it less laggy, and more functionable for mobile players. I just want barbie to enjoy what’s she’s doing, and if she couldn’t, it would be best to sell the game to someone who knows what to do with the game. Nobody probably read this but I just hope barbie gets it together.

I hate Roblox itself I used to have so much fun with my family playing some newer games like brookhevean and I used to play 2017 Royal high and I loved the city with the hair salon I was confused about the name where the game was wind the shop was fair for kids now it’s thousands of pounds
this is such a good video!! roblox's changes and the internet's environment is very important to understand the type of games on roblox that are successful nowadays, including royale high. i'm so glad you made a video about this with this research and from your POV being a new player in this new royale high age, those perspectives are underrepresented in the community and extremely important for players of RH to understand.
