  • In-Depth Holt Pneumatic Fluid Extractor 57056 Review. Is it really worth buying from Harbor Freight? This Holt fluid extractor has definitely satisfied my oil extraction needs. At the price, you can not go wrong with this pneumatic fluid extractor purchase. One of the best fluid extractors I've seen at Harbor Freight.

Not for business but for personal use I do. All the cars in my family have oil filters on the top of the engine so doing an oil and filter changed means no more going under the car.

Just purchased one of these for my Chrysler Crossfire oil change. It has a Mercedes 3.2 with the oil filter up top. I'm not going to have to crawl under my car now that I know how to use it! Thanks!

The $89 version has a manual hand pump to create a vacuum in order to start the siphon so you do not need a compressor. It is also a manual process to empty the reservoir by dumping it into a container. I tried mine to remove the oil out of a hydraulic pump reservoir on a zero turn mower project. It works great! I usually store my tubes on a nail on the wall. You just have make sure that the tubes are empty so they do not drip. Nice demo!

Good Morning, Even if you want to open the oil drain nipple or oil drain plug on the engine oil pan or whatever the case may be - You will virtually eliminate the sudden outflow of oil or other fluid by using the extraction process.
Also I also use a 12v extraction pump that I purchased from off of eBay in which I pump the engine oil that I have extracted into various empty oil containers in which I usually take to the local AuroZone for recycling of the used oil.
By doing this, I reuse the empty plastic containers as well as properly recycle the oil - A win win all around. Thanks for your great video.

I have the other big green HF extractor in my shop. I use it all the time. I tip push mowers up and put a chunk of 4x4 under one side and let it set for a few minutes before i use the extractor.

I think I need to purchase one of these. I have been changing the oil on all kinds of units. I always without exception make a dang mess! This will save on "Oil Dry" as well.

I have used a Holt extractor for years. At least they made the outlet 90 degrees on the new ones. Mine is straight up and likes to slip out once in a while.

Unless i missed it how much psi are you putting in the pump?

  • @butler386

Great review. Not sure I would want one that can not do gasoline though. But for oil changes looks pretty good. I wonder how much oil you get out from the usual tipping the mower over and draining. Seems like the heavy crap would stay at the bottom which is not what I would want. But I have nothing better to recommend. So looks like a great investment to me. Thanks for the video.

Seems to work well for me, especially when you don't have access to an oil drain plug or the plug is simply in a bad location

How has the endoscope been working for you? Is there a way to link to where you got it or is it one of those things sold by a different company every time you look for it on Amazon?
